Has anyone heard of the theory that Tifa doesn't exist in KHII? Well, she exists, but just not visible.

Yes. Apparently there's this theory that Tifa is "like" Sephiroth and they also theorize that Sephiroth can't be seen by anyone else but Sora and Cloud. They say Tifa is the same because it doesn't seem like she communicates with anyone else. Even if she and Leon were in the same room, it seems like they never regarded each other.

Whooaa. That's .... different. Where is it said that no one else besides Sora and Cloud can see Sephiroth? o.o Cuz I mean, he's in the coliseum as a possible battle person, right? Wouldn't he have to talk to Phil in order to do that? ;X
I kind of disagree anyway, I think she exists, and that she is NOT Cloud's light. She said "Use *my* light" which doesn't mean that she IS Cloud's light. This may just be my Clerith side talking though. xD And she's so preoccupied with finding Cloud that she doesn't stop to talk to anyone else. And Leon is just anti-social anyways. xD;

I was confused for a bit, but I understand what you're trying to say. xD
And I think that she does exist. How else would she have destroyed the room?
Besides, Goofy and Donald can see her, can't they? They regard her during her PMS in the room. xD;

Well, including Donald and Goofy, no one else seems to regard her presence. Even when she and Aeris were walking around in town together, they never seemed to ever mention each other.
Haha, I'm not saying that I believe the theory because I have proofz that she exists physically. biggrin
@AerithStrife: I'm not going into the whole "light" debate, haha. This is just a discussion about Tifa's existence and place in KH2.

Well, after replaying KHII, I found out that Leon does in fact notice her. First in the cutscene when Tifa went into the research lab in Hollow Bastion exclaiming, "so there was a hidden room here." Everyone, including Leon acknowledged her. Secondly, before examining the wall to the DTD, if you go back to talk to Tifa and Leon, Leon makes a remark about how Tifa seemed to have a temper since she was wrecking the room trying to find Cloud.
LOL
Anyways, that theory is invalid because she in fact DOES exist. Since Tifa is visible, I'm sure Sephiroth is visible too...just...we haven't seen him interact with anyone else other than Cloud, Tifa, Sora and the gang.

Yeah, I was gonna bring up the point that Leon mentions her but you beat me too it.
I didn't even know there was a theory about that though - that's...interesting.
I wonder why anyone would even consider to think that or what the purpose of the theory would be if it were indeed true...
I think that Aeris doesn't mention Tifa because I think in the KH world - Aerith never met Tifa... I mean I know her and Cloud have a moment in the end, but this Aerith in KH - I think she's jsut different from Seven.
There seems to be hints of Leon/Aerith love going on with cards...

And it was a hilarious idea, but still... I'm pretty sure she exists. xP
And I am firmly under the belief that FF7 existed before KH but their world got destroyed and... Just read "But That Was In Another Country" by Guardian1. It's an AMAZING fanfiction about FF7 before KH.

The theory stated that Tifa did not exist physically because she seems to have the same presence as Sephiroth, like how Sephiroth is Cloud's darkness. Because Sephiroth is Cloud's darkness, you can assume that he doesn't "exist" as a normal person. Because Tifa seemingly didn't interact with other characters, a lot of people assumed that she was the same as Sephiroth, especially the in the battle where Tifa offered to give her light to Cloud. Also, Sephiroth called Tifa the "light of the present." It's a good theory but Tifa exists physically.
I like LeonxAeris. >.< How they interact is so cute...especially when Aeris was sticking the CD into the computer and when Aeris told Leon that she could handle things. biggrin
Anyways, about Aeris and Tifa....I think that they should know about each other....Aeris seems to know a lot about Cloud and if she knows Cloud, then she'd know Tifa too. Dunno....can't really tell.

I'm with foxy on that though, I believe FF7 exsisted before KH as well.
Not to mention guys that it's a video game...how many times to characters mention one another unless it's a plot point? D; Seriously.

It's just, I think Aerith was thrown into KH not on the idea that Seven was before and it was destroyed but just because:
"Hey guys - Aeris would be great to attract FF fans to this series! And let's put in Cloud too!"
And I don't think they had in mind that TIfa would also join the crew.
Take KH2 out of the equation.
Cloud looks different, Yuffie knowns Leon - as well as Aerith.
Sure they interact with each other...but I dunno. I don't think it should be looked at as if everything in Seven still holds true. I think Aerith is Aerith and Aeris is Aeris. That they're different people and the Cloud thing was jsut fan service.
KH2 just complicates that idea - but Cloud is in Advent Form and Tifa seems to have taken Aerith's place in the equation, Leon replaced for the flower girl.
