That's basically what I've been trying to do today, since I have to sew the corset, write half of a 20-page paper, and finish several smaller projects before Comic Con. I've been working since about one in the afternoon, and I leave for the convention center at one PM tomorrow. If all goes well, I can post corset pics later this week.
I do have a couple questions, though, if anyone sees this in time to answer.
Will regular 2-part eyelets hold up? I'm using three layers of fabric and there will be steel bones on either side of the eyelets, but could they still pull out? The corset is only for a four inch reduction, but could the strain still be too high? There is no time to hand-sew the eyelets and I don't know if I could get grommets in time.
Do I need waist tape? I'm using one layer of thin pleather with no stretch and 2 layers of canvas that can be warped slightly when pulled diagonally. Will the layers keep it from warping over time, or will it warp without waist tape?
Thanks!

What kind of grommets did you need socks? I have some extras.... call me and let me know if you want them.

2 piece eyelets will pull out in a heart beat, boning or no. use gromets, eyelets will come out in less than an hour.
