Background
the AMG L96 is pretty much a cheap rip off of the UTG L96:

The Feel
this gun feels very solid in use.
very realistic feel to the real L96A1, but has a much different bolt than the ones I'm use to.
it's around 10lbs and is a handful to cary around tight spots.
a pistol is about the only sidearm you're going to be carying.
the internals, barrel, pretty much everything but the outer shell is metal.
Accuracy
......uh
about that....
it's not the most accurate sniper out there.
the range is just about 250ft(.25g)
dead accurate to over 80ft(.25g), then it starts to sway an inch or so every 25ft.
there is alot of wind where I was at, so it could have messed up the results.
the hop up doesn't wourk as well as it should.
Speed
440fps (.20g)
395fps (.25g)
it's pretty fast for a cheap sniper.
Durability
this gun is very durable.
nice hefty little rifle for it's price.
the bolt needs to be taken care of since it's got an open side ejection port.
Reel Steel Story
The L96 was brought into service in the early 1980's to replace the British Army's L42 Enfield sniper rifles. The Spring Rifle AGM MP002 L96 was made by Accuracy International (PM model). One thing to note is that it did not have a solid polymer stock, but instead a hollow polymer stock formed around an aluminum bedding block. A few years later, the Swedes also sought to obtain a sniper rifle that would work in Arctic conditions. The AI PM (L96) won the contract, and was fielded as the Arctic Warfare sniper rifle, chambered for the .338 Lapua cartridge. This particular airsoft rendition resembles the AW 338, with it's distinctive indentation in the bottom of the stock. The original L96 did not have this feature.
PROS:
Durable
Has a nice heft to it
Very powerful in stock form
Compatible with a good amount of aftermarket upgrades
Unique looks
Really light bolt pull
Comfortable buttpad
Cheap--cheapest L96 on the market
Comes with a scope mount
Openable cylinder
Brass inner barrel
Metal trigger searbox
Comfortable to hold
Adjustable cheekrest
CONS:
It's not a full VSR-10 clone for the internals
No magazine compatibility
Finish isn't as good as other ACM's--visible seam lines
Glued in weights look tacky when disassembled
Can't replace stock screws without drilling wider holes in the stock
Non-upgradeable hop-up
Can't take anything but custom aftermarket barrels
U-hop-up yields poor accuracy
Overall, I'd sadly have to say, I would only recommend this to someone just getting into sniping.
it's about the cheapest L96 model out there that's worth the buy.
it'f you're looking for cheap but still performance, look up the
