This weekend, I have a friend coming over. His only request: make him a cake.
I've come up with three ideas for cakes. I'd like your opinions on them to see if there may be something else I could add or do.

Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Cake
This cake has ice cream sandwiches, chocolate fudge mixed with chocolate pudding mix and oreos, and whipped cream. I've made it before and it was great. I don't really want to change the recipe for this one, but I'd like some ideas for decorating it. It turns out at a tall, white rectangle. Kind of boring. Ideas?

Strawberries and Cream Cake
This is going to be a mini cake. Or rather, two mini cakes. I'm getting sick, so I don't really feel like baking. I'm going to buy some of those premade mini pound cake cups. I was going to take one and layer it with strawberry jam, strawberries, and whipped cream. Then, repeat the layers again. As nice as that is, it's just boring old strawberry shortcake. Ideas on how to make this NOT super boring? Stuff to add? Take out? I'd like to use strawberries and the mini pound cakes for this. The rest is up in the air.

Banana-Choco Cake
This cake also uses the mini pound cakes. I was going to take one mini pound cake and fill it with banana pudding. Then on top, I was going to place a few slices of bananas dipped in chocolate. Next, a bit of chocolate ganache. Then, some whipped cream. Then, a repeat of the layers. Topped off with more chocolate and some banana chips.

Ideas on decorating or change of ingredients would be greatly loved!
