Scowling, Thestral rustled his wings aggitatedly, sending dried leaves tumbling from his back. Blank eyes stared almost hauntingly up at the trees he had just flown through to land roughly on the forest floor. Tail rythmically tapping the earth, dogtags clinking together almost delicatly, he quickly made his way towards the nearest opening, leaves crunching under clawed paws.
Eyes roamed the forest, though to any on lookers it only appeared as a slight widening and narrowing of eyelids, before locking onto light streaming through a patch in the trees. Muscled wings tired from the flight over the forest hung limpy from his shoulders, twitching slightly at the idea of being confined to dense forrest if the need arose to take flight again, his pace quickened ever so slightly.
