Name: Akiko Koten Age: 16 (turning 17 very soon) Personality: Happy, kind, shy at first, outgoing when you get to know her, cute, silly, a small attitude, as a bit of a silver tongue when she is angry, and a bit tom-boyish. History: Akiko was born in Okinawa, Japan but her and her parents moved to America. They have just moved back from there to move into Domino, Japan. She can sing and play the guitar. She's a bit of a tom-boy and can sometimes end up getting into trouble for pranks. She's been homesick though since she left home. Also, she loved games and video games. Amitse sat at the edge of the docks, her toes in the water and the breeze seemed to play with her hair. her expression was a mixture of pain and anger. she glared at the small white ship that approached the docks. she could make out a boy about her age with a nice tan and sandy blond, and very spiky hair. her faded red colored eyes stared at him blankly then turned back out towards the ocean as she gazed at the sunrise.
Yugi was walking towards school. he saw Amitse earlier and wondered why she was skipping school today. he remembered her aunt screaming at her last night for reasons unknown and heard a smack, maybe that was why...... His thoughts were cut short when he saw Akiko, his cheeks turned a light pink as he walked up to her "h-hey Akiko, sorry abut you being homesick and all." he said kindly.

As the boat arrived to shore, Malik came upon the deck. His eyes were filled with anger and emptiness. The boat docked and he jumped onto deck. He had few bags with him, just enough was needed for his small stay here. And it would be a small stay, he would deal with the Pharoah quickly and be back in no time. He walked onto land- seeing a girl staring at him. His eyes narrowed at her. When he was a bout to walk past her, he stopped and said, "One should tame their eyes- for a vulture might come down and pluck them out." He said as he shot a glare at her. He didn't want anything to do with anybody he didn't have to deal with.
Akiko had her arms folded on the top of a fence using them to lean up against. She looked over and smiled at Yugi. "Oh hey," she said then paused, "so, I guess you heard." She looked away from him and into the distance. She had gotten into a verbal fight with somebody who was trying to date her. She said no and he kept being persistent. She told him she didn't need anybody, he told her he could make her feel better, she blurted out 'what do you know? I'm thousands of miles away from my home and alone now! You think your insignificant company could make me feel better?!' followed by a tone of insults and curses. They weren't many people around when it happened, but she guessed he was around to hear it. She scratched her head a bit and smiled quirky. "I'm not all that homesick- well, maybe. But the guy was a jerk and I just got really mad." She turned her body around and leaned against the fence with her back to it. "I heard from other girls that he's just a male whore that likes picking up chicks. I should've just laughed in his face and walked away. But, it was bad timing on his part," she said. "But anyway, how was class for you today?" she said. She's only been here for three days but she started talking to Yugi. Well, he started talking to her. The first few days she mildly spoke with him- she was too shy. But now she was talking a bit more with him.

Amitse glowered at Malik as she stood she crossed her arms "oh really? well one should keep his tongue tied before I tie it for him." she hissed bitterly "just leave me alone, life is a pain enough and your smart a** doesn't help anything...." there was evidence of cut marks on her writs and arms, it was obvious she was depressed and had anger issues.

Yugi sighed "yeah he's famous for that...." he then looked in the direction of Amitse's house "well it was quiet and boring and Amitse didn't come to school again. I don't think she should keep on living there.... it's bad for her." Yugi patted Akiko's shoulder "I'm sorry, hey maybe you can hang out with me and my friends? we're going to the park later to have fun want to join? it'll be good for you to get your mind off of things." he offered sweetly.
[[hmmm I was thinking that amitse could take a strole into the shadow realm and she would end up finding Marik(the Yami) what do you think?]]

[[Does Yugi live near Amitse? Are they friends? And yes! I would like it if she somehow taps into the shadow realm and sees Marik. Also, I don't mean to be so hard on your character- just trying to keep Malik in character. He'll break down eventually]]
How dare this woman say such things to him. He narrowed his eyes slightly then returned them to their normal narrowness. He did not take mind to her cuts on her wrists, though he saw them. He brought up his hand and gestured his finger for her to come close to him- not saying a word until she was close.
Akiko stopped and thought for a moment. "Amitse...... oh it's hard to remember all these new people. Who is she again?" she asked. She then looked sad and said, "Why has she been skipping, and..... why is it bad where she lives?" Akiko then shook her head and added quickly, "No, you don't have to tell me. I shouldn't be so nosey." She then smiled a bit. She hadn't been asked to hang out with anybody since she's moved here. "Oh really?" she said enthusiastically, "that would be great! Where should I meet up with you guys?"

[[lol yeah i was thinking a few houses away from each other. in a way yes. lol that would be so cool. hmm cool i don't mind, i like arguing anyways XD]]
Amitse came a bit closer and looked him directly in the eyes "what?" she said plainly. her eyes faded to show no emotion.
Yugi laughed softly "its ok, and how about here since you're still getting use to being around here." he suggested politely.

When she was close enough he whispered sinisterly, "Keep it up, and you'll be very alone in the shadows......" He was refering to the shadow realm of coarse, but she wouldn't know that. As far as he knew, he was done with her. He pulled away from her and attempted to walk away. He had better things on his mind. He had to find a place to stay and prepare his plans to steal the puzzle from the Pharoah, as well as steal his life away from him. Malik's rod was in a cylinder case that was on his back (a strap was across his shoulder- it was much like a sword sheath on his back).
"Ok then, we'll meet back here soon ok?" she said as she waved him off and walked to her house.

Amitse laughed coldly "shadows? the shadow Realm is no foreign place to me...." she could care less if he heard or not. "oh and Malik, watch who you play mind games with... I'm all too familiar with it." she held her Millennium rose at her side as she opened the shadow realm before her and slowly stepped through. it would seem strange to most that someone knew their name without them telling her. you see she had a unique ability to know others names just by looking into their eyes.
the portal slowly closed behind her as she wandered the darkness. the docks were no longer a place for her to relax and clear her mind. her eyes glowed with anger and hatred. she had to let it out so she yelled at the top of her lungs, no one would here her after all... or would they? "WHY IS EVERYONE OUT TO GET ME!!!! WHY!!!!!!" she fell to her knees as she clutched her item in her fist "....why...." she said for the last time but at a whisper. she lowered her head and her hair covered her face as so many months of anger and rage began to pour out of her. she was so mad that she started to cry silently as she glared at the darkness below her. a single tear hit it and made a oft ripple. "....why am I so alone??" her eyes became emotionless once more as she just stared.

Yugi nodded and waved back as he walked inside and went upstairs to get dressed for later.

It's not rare for Malik to be shocked, but he was. This woman knew about the shadow realm? How could that be?! His eyes widened, how did she know who he was. He felt a cold shiver go done his spine as she spoke. He tried to seem unphased, but his eyes showed differently. Suddenly, a portal appeared and she entered it. And then, she was gone. "What just happened?" he murmured to himself. Everything went quiet for a moment or two. Then there was this horrible ring in his ear. Malik cupped his ears with his hands and growled. "Ahhhh!" he groaned in pain. It was like a shriek that rang louder and louder in his ears- it shot through his chest multiple times. He felt everything go cold and fade to black...
Malik's eyes went dull then narrowed as they glowed a brilliant gold. His hair spiked a bit and an evil grin unfolded onto his face. Marik had awoken, this scream he heard brought him out. The evil eye shone brightly on his forehead. He took out his Millennium rob and slashed it through the air. In doing so, a portal much like Amitse's appeared. He entered in it and disappeared. He had located her, as he was attempting to do. He walked up behind her. He could use this girl, she was strong- he could fell it. So he had to lie to her to get her to join him. "I too am alone in this dark retched world," he said as he laid his head on her shoulder. "But you don't have to be anymore. You know of the shadows- I have my own and they are my home. But I don't want to be in them anymore, just as you don't either," he tried to sound as sincere as possible- but everything was a lie.
[[I was thinking that Marik could use her to get to Yugi or something. But because Malik also entered with Marik in Amitse's realm (Malik is in his subconscous) Malik was able to feel Amitse's pain and feels sorry for her. He tries to stay away so Marik won't hurt or use her. But maybe Marik tries to say that Malik is trying to keep him locked away ect. What do you think?]]
Akiko entered in her house and went straight to her room. she smiled the whole time. Even though Yugi has talked to her and such during school- she only thought they were acquaintances. But now, maybe they could become friends. She was lonely since she moved here. She quickly changed out of her school clothes and into her normal wear. After brushing her long hair, she put on her hat. She really hated that she couldn't wear it during school, but oh well. She brought along an mp3 player and a small handheld gaming device incase she wanted to play. She doubled checked to see if she had everything and she left to return to the spot.
Joey was already at his house to change and such. He decided to meet up with Yugi at his house. He approached the Kame Game Shop and knocked on the door. He didn't wait to have the door opened for him so he entered himself. "Yo Yug! I'm hear!," he said as he looked around for his friend.

Amitse felt his head on her shoulder and it made her uneasy. "why..... you don't even know me." she stood up and faced him. her eyes were still dull and she seemed not to trust him as she held her item close to herself. "for all i know.... you would end up using me like everyone else." her anger was rising "use and then trash like I'm garbage!" she said bitterly as tears continued to stream down her cheeks as she collapsed once more "thats...all they ever do....is use and abuse me like some slave! nothings ever good enough for them...nothing." her rage died down. "why would you want someone like me.... someone who can't even control herself. i have nothing to offer."

Yugi ran downstairs "hey Joey! Akiko is going to join us today, she needs people to be with and have fun. I hope you don't mind." he said in his usual happy voice as he began to head out towards her house with some of the stuff for the park.

"I know you, I know that look in your eyes. They are of someone who was hurt and needs to be set free. I see them everytime I look in the mirror," he said then smirked. "Do you know my name?" he added remembering she was able to guess Malik's name. Perhaps she could tell they were two different people? He hoped, in order for him to gain her trust. "Somebody who is used never uses another. I suffer that as well. Do you know what I am? What Malik is? Do you see we are two people in one vessle? He keeps me locked away in my world of shadows. I want to be free- as do you. And I know a way. I know a way to make everything that hurts you go away," he said. He loved screwing with people's minds. It was so fun. He could feel Malik trying to take control back over- however, Marik was well in control.
Akiko was about to leave when she did forget something. She ran back in to get her orb chocker. It was a chocker with an orb on it. She loved it, it was a fantastic gift she got from her father. After so she went back out her front door. However, she didn't get very far.
"Oh? You mean that chick with the hat?" Joey said trying to think of her. "Yea- she flipped out at that kid today. That was hilarious! I've never seen a girl do that before- not like that! About time too," he added. "I don't know much about her, but if you say she's cool, then she's cool with me," he said as he followed his friend to her house. When they got there, Akiko was just about to leave. "Hey there- where are you going?" he said with a smile.
Akiko looked up to see they were already at her house. "Oh! You guys are here!," she said as she locked the door and walked up to them. "Guess I took too long huh?" she joked.
"Nah, we're just being gentlemen and escorting a lady," Joey joked back.
"Haha, I'd use the word 'lady' loosely if I were you," she said as she put her hands on her hips and gave him a comedic look.
[[should I bring in tristan and/or tea? do you want to be either of them?
Ok, so she has the orb- I changed my mind. But Amme isn't in it. It was Amme's at one point though. So maybe it stirs Atem's mind up- he feels connected to it and starts to remember small bits (or maybe sees Amme but doesn't know who she is). And he could feel connected a bit to Akiko as Yugi does too? Also, the orb has powers but they aren't unlocked yet. But she has a small talent (like Amitse), she describes people personalities by colors. But she can't see her own really. How does that sound?]]

Amitse's body relaxed as did her emotions after all he understands her feelings. "you name is Marik. I can tell what you are you are a Yami I believe they are called and yes i can see that and how do I make what hurts me go away?" she seemed confused and hopeful at the same time. she stood to be eye level with him.
Yugi laughed. he then felt Atem stir at the sight of Akiko's orb.
Atem looked at the orb as memories flashed in his mind. it was him an Amme. his sweet Amme and now she had returned. though she looked a bit different. "amme?" he seemed to try and reach out to her.
[[lol and maybe I can actually give Amitse a Yami that hasn't mearly awakened yet but Marik can end up awakening her that way he'll have someone too XD. hmmm I can play Tea idk about tristan ^^'.lol sounds good XD.]]

[[I was thinking maybe she doesn't have a yami. Since Marik is supposed to be pure evil- I can't see him getting along with another person. I wanted to make it where Marik causes trouble for Amitse and Malik. I dunno, that's what I had in mind- what do you think?]]
Marik smirked to himself, he had her now. "Yes, that's correct. I see you have some powers of your own," he said as he stood with her. "There is an easy way to rid your pain. You see, there is a special item- just like the one you have in your possession. But it's much stronger. It has strange powers, and it could be able to help both of us out."
Malik was trying to regain control. There was this horrible stain on his heart. He could feel Amitse's pain and suffering. It was like daggers through his heart. He groaned and screamed in his unconscous. Marik was making sure to keep him pressed out of conscousness. And it was putting strain on his soul. Not to mention, the force from Amitse's pain. However, Marik was able to cover it all up- there way no sign of Malik that could be detected.
Akiko raised an eyebrow and smiled quirkly. "What was that?" she said not sure what he said to her. Did he say Amme? Who or what was that? She moved away from him and cupped the orb, "Nah uh uh- no touching this. My dad gave this to me and it's very special ok?" She never let anybody touch it because there was a meaning to it.
"Why is it special? Doesn't look that expensive?" Joey asked curiously.
Akiko smiled smally and replied, "My dad gave it to me when I was in the hospital. I was little, about 12 or something. I was really sick. He said it was outside our door and he gave it to me." She removed her hands from it and added, "I don't wear it to school, because I'm afraid I'll lose it. That's why you haven't seen me with it before." She looked at Yugi, he looked..... different. He also seemed very dazed. "Hey, um..... are you ok? Why don't we head to the park ok?" she said. She had a strange feeling as soon as he mummbled that word.
[[nevermind about Tea and Tristan- they'll just get in the way. I would have been tristan though, but nah XD ]]
