I'm really bored and still pumped up from seeing this movie so I'm gonna write about it. I obviously have too much time on my hands. lol ( beware of spoilers...but only small ones, i promise)
The Dark Knight:
I had been waiting a LONG time for this movie. I loved the first one and was excited to see Heath as the Joker, as well as Bale returning to his suit.
By the time I went to this movie, I had really high expectations for it. Never, however, could I have imagined it being as amazing as it is.
It was way better than most comic book superhero movies. It was more dark and serious, without mutants and superhumans/aliens.
The Joker is definitley one of the more creepy and evil villians; he has no apparent reason for doing what he does and not very concerned with who dies and has no rules. Heath was a wonderful Joker. You could tell he really tried his best to become this sick, homicidal freak, and he was quite scary at times, but the humor of his character was the best. And then it was Heath Ledger, so it was a pretty goodlooking Joker. Definitely my favorite character of the movie. It's hard not to like a character who can make a pencil disappear.
Christian Bale was a great Batman again. He's so perfect at pulling off both sides: Bruce Wayne and Batman. It was even cool to see him beat the crap out of the Joker. He gets a new suit in the movie, way better than the last.. Not to mention a really cool batpod.
I think the biggest surprise of the movie was Harvey Dent. I didn't think I was gonna like this character at all. I wasn't the biggest fan of Aaron Eckhart and he just seemed unneccesary ( seeing as they already had a villian ). However I really liked how he was added to the mix and it's amazing to see him go from a great leader and role model to the society to a revenge obsessed Harvey Two-Face. And the graphics for his face were really cool. It wasn't over done and it looked like what it should look like: burnt and ugly. I hope they don't really kill him at the end, he would be really cool to keep in the story.
Rachel was never one of my favorite characters. I was glad to hear Katie Holmes was gone, but still wasn't thrilled to hear it would be Maggie Gyllenhaal. I thought her performance was OK. Eventhough I dislike the character, I still couldn't believe they killed her, that was a shock.
I also really liked they included Gary Oldman again as Lieut. Gordon. He was a fun character in the last one, and I'm glad you got to see a lot more of him in the Dark Knight.
Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman were really good in this movie too. Besides the Joker, they are the funniest characters in the movie. I was glad to see more of them this time, also, since their roles are really important to the story : they keep Wayne in line and help him as Batman.
My Favorite Part: Pretty much any time the Joker was on screen, because it was always funny but with a hint of creepy. I wish he could have been in it more.
My Least Favorite Part: When Batman pulls himself into that moving plane..that was corny.
So pretty much, if you haven't got the point, I loved this movie. And I have no one to talk to right now. lol

So I went and saw this movie again ..and wow! it's even better the second time. You totally notice things that would be insignificant the first time around. Like at the beginning when the female officer who works for Gordon who ends up bringing Rachel to the Joker talks about her mother being moved into the hospital. Also I noticed and wanted to yell "Noooo!" (lol) when the judge gets in her car and when the commisioner drinks his drink.
I also realized how much I really do like the character of Harvey Dent. I believe in Harvey Dent!
And unfortunately I was reminded of how horrid the bags under M. G.'s eyes are. Ewww. Alls fine when she blows up though.
And most ridiculous of them all, I realized how freckin awesome the Joker's socks are when he has his signature purple suit on!
I love this movie so much and can't wait for it to come out on DVD! or possibley to go see it again in theaters.Hopefully I'll have to write again but until then.....
