They traded Taylor?? They traded SHOCKY!. NY Giants are IDIOTS. They could have had a two TE tandem that would have been perfect for Eli. Both of their TE's are uber talented and huge targets (and safety checkdowns) for a non-mobile QB such as Eli.
The big dummies.
Taylor? Meh that didn't surprise me. The dolphins didn't want him anyways

I think it was better for both teams, and th enfl overall.
Forst Jason Taylor. He was going to only play 1 more year if he was going to stay in Miami. Now he has said that he will play his last 2 years on his contract and go from there.
Jeremy Shocky was disgruntal in NY. He was causing Eli problems by trying to get more passes thrown his way. He will play more and better in New Orleans (Which sucks because now NO are going to be better in passing, which will test tampa, and make them a bigger threat in the divison that is the NFC south.
All in all, i think that all teams involved got a good deal.

Well yes and no @Duke.
If Shockey was a distraction in NY with the Giants then who says he won't be one to the Saints? We've had a relatively quiet locker room, and even distraction wannabe's like Horn were tossed away.
Now you are bringing a guy who calls for the ball 24/7 to an offense that is dedicated to spreading the ball around. Keep in mind that Bush is still in development but a big threat as a reciever coming out of the backfield, which means less catches for big mouth Shockey

He wants to be in NO, which means he will settle down. I think Brees will respect him more than Eli did, and will be able to stand up to him, unlike Eli. He is freidns with Sean payton, so he will work out fine in NO. As for Bush, if he dsnt rush for over 1000 yds and 10 TD's then hes a nobody peroid. And sorry man, but the Buccaneers are winning the Divison, espically if we land Brett Favre.

The news of the Giants trading Shockey hit me hard. I was away, and catching a glimpse of the news was heartbreaking. As a Giants fan, I've followed Shockey during his whole career in New York. I know that Jeremy and the Giants organization weren't really on the same page, but to trade him to the Saints for two mediocre draft picks wasn't such a good idea. Shockey has great talent. A great catcher and route runner, a red zone threat, and a great run blocker. Kevin Boss is good, but the Giants are trusting him way too much to fill the shoes of Jeremy. A four time Pro Bowler in six years with New York. Other than Michael Strahan, I've never seen a Giants' player play with as much enthusiasm and energy as Shockey. His performance on the field outshined his bad mentality, which is why I think it was a bad move by the Giants. The Giants are no doubt better with Shockey in their offense, and they could regret basically giving away a vital weapon for Eli Manning. I am pissed off about this move, but I wish Shockey the best in New Orleans.
Jason Taylor to the Redskins was a huge plus. They improve their defensive line immensely, to compete in a tough NFC East division. The Dolphins didn't get much in return, although Taylor could only play for one more year.

Jaso Taylor said he will deffinately be playing 2 more years in the NFL.

With the Dolphins, he said he'd play probably one more year, but now that he's with the contending Redskins, he'd love to play more (then the Jaguars actually should have made a bid for him). Also, DE Phillip Daniels got injured and is out for the season, so that probably sparked the trade. Anyways, yeah, Shockey was the man. Hair, tattoos, toughness, performance on the field. He actually got along well with teammates, but I guess it was just the front office and Coughlin. He played with so much energy and excitement. ...Actually, I have a funny Shockey memory. Last year, I went to Giants' training camp for a day. About half an hour after the final practice of the day, I walk towards the parking lot. Out of nowhere comes Shockey racing out of the lot, with either a white Hummer or white Cadillac Escalade SUV. He stops, lets out two hot blondes, laughing, and then speeds away again. Priceless! lol

At Giants training camp, I got stuff signed from Jacobs, Shockey, and Toomer. It's pretty mellow at Giants training camp at Albany. At least more mellow than other training camps I've seen online or on ESPN or NFL Network. Just fans sitting on the hill, talking, drinking, eating, and watching drills and scrimmages. My favorite parts are the kickers' long FG drill, the QB accuracy drill, and the 8 on 8. I might go back this year, probably in two weeks if I do.
