I've finished working on 1-12. The whole first page. You guys can add your stuff to the last few, now. =3 I'll work on 13-20 later on today, maybe. We still have Hector's story to do... It's going to be a long walkthrough!

Sorry sorry sorry! I don't have much time lately lately lately.

Right now I'm just adding a lot of walkthrough skeletons and seeing how many I can fill out. =3

Don't post here! This is how this is going to work: I'll post my strategy and the items and characters, and you guys will type in your strategies under that. Also, we'll do character analysis each time we get a new character in the chapter. I want you to add yours too. =3 Oks? I'll set up the prologue and the first chapter right now, and you guys can add your strategies and character analysis.
Sain Sain Sain!! Pwease take screenshots and put them in the post? This is going to be the introduction post. After that, each chapter and all it's info will go into another post. If you have comments or questions about how I'm setting it up pm me ok?

So... Start adding strategies. =3

Hey hey!! We need an Eliwood's story banner now =3

New characters: Lyndis
How to get character: Just start the game.

Items: None.

Victory: Seize the Gate

Boss:
Batta
Class: Brigand
Level: 2
HP: 21
Weapon: Iron Axe

Strategies and Comments:

Magegirl Nino's Strategy: Well there isn't much to strategize about in this chapter. Pretty much, you just go through the motions and Lyn tells you what to do. The boss fight will go the same every single time. Lyn will hit him, he'll hit her and she'll go down to six or so hp. Just when it looks like he's gonna kill her, she'll get a critical and kill him! End of chapter. =3

Nomad Rath's Strategy: It's too easy... You can choose to not have her guiding you, if you choose hard mode. Things will also happen slightly different in that mode, too. But the outcome will end up being the same. Lyn pwns Batta the Beast. Welcome to the game, newby.

Danni-chan's Strategy: Like the others said, not much strategy here if you're still doin' Easy mode. ^^ But if you decide to do Lyn's Mode on Hard, there's a bit of a trick to it! The best way to not get yourself killed on the first chapter is to move close to the first bandit, let him attack you, heal if necessary, then repeat if his health's not low enough for you to finish him off. Use this strategy for the boss, too, and it'll be a piece of cake!

Tibarn's Strategy: Seriously? The tutorial's got it pretty well down. Just go for it, and use a vulnerary if you get hurt. You have two. If you're really cautious in Hard Mode, move yourself next to Batta and let him attack first, so that you can heal again if he hits you. But he probably won't.

Character analysis:

Magegirl Nino's comments:

Lyndis: Lyn is the first person you meet in Fire Emblem. She uses a sword until she turns into a "Blade Lord", which enables her to learn to use a bow too. Considering you pretty much have to use her, we won't be telling you not to. =3 She's got pretty good stats, I suppose. If you're leveling her up in the arena, I'd suggest you be careful. She's vulnerable even if Ninian is protecting her. And if Lyn dies, you have to start the chapter over. Once you get your first Heaven Seal, I think you should use it on Lyn first because that way she has a better chance of getting to level 20.

Nomad Rath's comments:
Lyndis: She's hott. Not using her well is a sin, too.

Danni-chan's comments:
I love Lyndis with all my heart and if I was a guy (or a lesbian) I'd marry her in a heartbeat. ;A; <3 (EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT SHE WOULD TOTALLY MARRY KENT AND NOT ME OR RATH) Her stats are a lot like those of a myrmidon/swordmaster such as Guy, Karel, or Karla, so treat her as such. Make sure she doesn't get mobbed by too many enemies all at once, or you'll wind up with a game over. Don't pit her against high-defense units like Knights, either, since, like a Myrmidon, her strength is lower than other melee units. (Unless the level difference is big enough for her to pwn them) I agree with Nino in suggesting promoting her first, because she pwns and Hector can take care of himself until you get your second Heaven Seal.

EtsukoNino comments:
Oh, god, Lyn. Not only do I believe she's over rated, I've had some horrid experiences with this girl so my opinion of her isn't as high as others. Of the three lords, she normally has the higher speed and skill. Her defense is average, her resistance is... it's higher then Hectors, and even if she has the higher luck, she'll make you second guess it if you make her charge into battle stupid-like. Keep in mind, no matter how much you night hate Lyn, you HAVE to use her in the final chapter and other chapters in between so don't neglect her! I also suggest that you start working on her supports within her story so when you finally meet her again in Eliwood's story, you can just throw her next to Wil (Kent, etc) and get it.

Tibarn's comments: Lyn has, hands-down, the coolest battle animations in the game, both normal AND critical, especially when she becomes a Blade Lord. She also tends to be the worst of the three lords, though I've had files where she's been better than Eliwood. She's easiest to train, though, which is nice, because she really needs it. She really lacks in HP, Def, and Res-- but I've seen her Def jump by 3 and her Res jump by FIVE points when she promotes, which made her durable enough to be pretty safe in the fray. And even if her defenses are crap, her skill and speed tend to max out, so she's a dodgemaster. Her support with Rath gets her great bonuses, making it my favorite by far.

New Characters:
Sain, Kent
How to get characters: Automatically given, no effort required.

Items: None.

Victory: Defeat all Enemies

Boss:
Zugu
Class: Brigand
Level: 4
HP: 23
Weapon: Iron Axe

Strategies:

Magegirl Nino's Strategy:
Like the first one, there's barely any strategy needed in this one. It'll force you to use Sain to try and defeat the first bandit, but he will miss. Like an idiot. Then Kent will give him a sword. You'll also be forced to hand Lyn's extra vulnerary to Sain and make him use it. However, it'll be easy to get rid of the other bandits. When you get to Zugu, try to beat him with Lyn so that she gets the bulk of the experience. You can surround him with Sain and Kent if Lyn can't beat him in one turn.

Nomad Rath's Strategy: ...Sigh... what an exciting beginning, right? Don't worry, it'll get better, trust me. If you play on hard mode, Sain won't be an idiot, and you won't have to use a vulnerary. But you'll have to trade over the sword from Kent yourself. There's a few forests to take advantage of, to give your character a terrain boost. Try taking out the boss with Lyn, so that she'll get stronger. As you're doing that, make fun of the boss' retarded name. It'll entertain you.

Tibarn's Strategy: This is really, really basic, but it's designed to teach you about some of the most basic aspects of the game-- weapon triangle and terrain bonuses. Use those to your advantage and this level should be cake. I actually think it's okay if you give the boss kill to Sain here-- Lyn is way easier to train up than any cavaliers.

Character Analysis:

Magegirl Nino's comments:

Sain: Sain and Kent are pretty much the same aside from a few differences in stats. And for some reason in my game Kent always stays a level or two ahead of Sain. Sain is a good unit, and not a bad candidate for your final party. It's really your choice who you use.

Kent: Like I said they're pretty similar. Kent is pretty cool too, and has the potential to become really powerful. In my experience, Kent has better accuracy, but Sain strikes twice more often.

Nomad Rath's comments:
Sain: The more humourous one of the knights you get in the game. He's the green knight of the classic green and red knights that you get in the FE games. This lady-chasing knight tends to be better in my game.

Kent: He's unfairly stereotyped as a boring character. He's your classic red knight of the game. I personally favour Sain over him, but Kent's still a decent character.

`Salt Fairy's comments:
Sain: I've always liked Sain as a character; he's the sort of lovable lecher I just adore playing in RPs and such. As a unit, I favor Sain over Kent as he makes a VERY useful Paladin when you max him out to 20 before upgrading him.
Sadly, you're really only going to find use in that strategy if you're upping him before you get to Eliwood/Hector's Story, which you can only do if you're playing hard mode.

Kent: The admirable knight, ever loyal and faithful. Kent makes me think of a big friendly dog that will defend you like crazy. Kent has always bored me from a character perspective. I mean, he's so damn predictable. There's no JUICE ever. Sain's got some serious character going on.
But Kent? Naaaaah.
Most people LOVE Kent as a unit because he's fast, mounted, can use multiple weapons, and is DAMN accurate. And I'll give him this; he really is accurate.
Thing is, his stats other than his accuracy are fairly bland. Sain EXCELS in his good stats, where as Kent just sort of stays boring and well-rounded.
If you're a beginner, stick with Kent and keep Sain out of trouble. If you're looking for a really fun game, play Sain and use Kent as infrequently as possible.

Danni-chan's comments:
Ah, the dynamic duo...Every Fire Emblem's got a pair of red and green cavaliers, from Cain and Abel in FE1 to Oscar and Kieran in FE9 and 10, and Kent and Sain are this game's. I love them both. They've got great interactions and are hilarious together! (I'm also a huge KentxLyn fan, and I love how Sain does his best to help Kent out in that aspect, heehee) But on battle stats, Sain is sturdier and hits harder than Kent, but Kent is faster and more accurate than Sain. Honestly, I use both. XD I even had both of them in my party in the final battle! Then again, I have a problem with playing favorites--my first playthrough, I only used characters I really liked. (And left Priscilla in the dust, hohoho.) It depends on you who you use, really.

Tibarn's comments: Whoo boy. Kent and Sain are wonderful characters, but between them, Sain is decidedly the better unit, IMO. Accuracy is important and all, but it won't make up for lackluster speed and strength. Now, going for endgame Paladin, I tend to prefer Lowen-- but I'm also not a big fan of Paladins, unless they can be high-movement, high-speed tanks.

New characters: None

Items: Mani Katti (End of the chapter)

Victory: Seize the throne.

Boss:
Glass
Class: Mercenary
Level: 3
Weapon: Iron Sword

Strategies:

Magegirl Nino's strategy: You'll be told to go visit the houses. After you do, start sending Sain and Kent, with swords equipped, up to beat the axe guy coming toward you. Send Lyn down to beat the three by the hills, and head her toward the door. Since Sain and Kent can't follow her here, have them pound away at the cracked wall and send them into the room. There is one axe guy waiting for you in the room. Once you've killed him, have the boys wait until you get Lyn into the door. Heal up if necessary, and end the turn so they can all move again. Sain and Kent should attack Glass from the sides with their lances, and get the final blow with Lyn.
After the end of this chapter, you get the Mani Katti. The Mani Katti is Lyn's awesome sword, only usable by her. Even if you use it up, you'll get another one when she returns to you in Eliwood's story, so don't worry. =3

Nomad Rath's Strategy: There's a few houses at the bottom-left of this map. Like all mere houses, they do nothing to help you, except give you spiffy info, which you probably already knew. After to dispose of the bandits near you, send Lyn down, past the mountains, to get rid of all the bandits, and enter the door. Kent and Sain are horseman, which means that they cannot cross over maintains... no, not even these tiny mountains. It's annoying, but it won't be too much of a hassle in the game. Anyway, have them break the hole in the wall, so that they can enter the building. When they get in, take out the bandit, then just wait for Lyndis. When Lyn gets in, have her take out the boss, so that she can get the exp. Surround him, then weaken him with Kent and Sain, and have Lyn deliver the final blow. You then get an actual good sword for Lyn... use it, but make sure that it doesn't wear out before the final chapter in Lyn's story. That's about it... things are picking up, but it's still pretty easy.

Chapter 3: Band of Mercenaries

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

New characters: Florina, Wil
How - Florina: Automatically Given, no effort required.
How - Will: Visit south village.

Shops:
Armory-
Iron Sword- 460g
Iron Lance - 360g

Items: 2000g - Top left house

Victory: Defeat all enemies

Boss:
Migal
Class: Bandit
Level: 6
Hp: 25
Weapon: Steel Axe

Strategies:

Magegirl Nino's strategy:
Send Lyn up, and recruit Wil in the house. Florina should be sent to beat the Mercenary above and to the right of her. I think she always criticals and beats him, but I'm not too sure. She always does it for me. Send Sain and Kent to handle the bad guys coming in from the right. Wil can handle the brigand to the right of where the mercenary was. Just leave him there for now. Send Florina up and get the 2000 G in the house in the far top left. It should be easy for Sain, Kent, and Lyn to handle everybody to the right. Watch out with that archer and Florina. He'll kill her. Once you've killed all the enemies, it's time for the boss, Migal. He won't move. What I like to do is send Wil up there and beat him with arrows 'til he dies. However, Lyn also makes easy mince meat of him.

Nomad Rath's Strategy This chapter introduces wonderful places known as villages. Visiting villages always helps you... sometimes you get items, and other times you get characters. This time happens to give you a character... Wil.. your first archer! I always send Florina up to attack the bandit above her. if she doesn't best it, then go back down as far as she's able to reach with her "canto" ability, it it's called in FE9 and 10.
-breaks off to continue later after refreshing his memory ^^;-

EtsukoNino's strategy:
Its a pretty easy chapter. Building off of what everyone else has said:
Watch out for Florina's HP because its ridiculously low. If you want to kill the boss easy and get some extra experience, have Wil attack since there's no threat of being counter-attacked and the boss won't move. You can finish him off with Wil or Florina to get experience. Otherwise, just surround the boss with your units and go all out.

KuraiKitty's strategy:
At this point, I'm already choosing which units I'm going to raise- pick your own at this point, and begin focusing on them. Should you choose Florina as a future unit (you can see my views on her later), use her to finish off weakened enemies. Remember that you can always click on enemies to see their movement and attack ranges, and keep her out of them. While she can take a hit and survive, two hits and she's down for the count.

Dividing up your experience points among all of your units is not advised. Choose now, or pay later- though the consequences aren't terribly severe now, Hector Hard Mode's Noble Lady of Caelin will have you screaming if you haven't focused your points enough.

Wil is fairly easy to raise, if you so choose, and as stated before, poking the boss with arrows is a fairly easy task. Again, if using Florina, have her finish him off, but don't have her attempt to take him on single-handedly.

Character Analysis:

Magegirl Nino's comments:
Florina: I love Florina! She makes a wonderful unit in the later game! Just get her to about level six by the end of Lyn's story and she'll kick easy butt later on! She's one of my favorites. At first I always neglected her because she was weak to arrows and axes. Just keep her away from those. She's just great. That is all.

Wil: Wil is... good, I guess. I normally don't use him after Lyn's story. Sometimes I use Rebecca, but normally I neglect archers. Aren't I horrible? I did level him all the way up once before, and he made a great Archer. I remember that I even used him in the final stage. Swiss cheese Lloyd-zombie... <3

Nomad Rath's comments:
Florina: ....Honestly, I never bother to use her at all, except for Lyn's story. I do NOT like Pegasus units.... well, most. I found her to be incredibly weak, and I frankly didn't feel like baby sitting her until she was an acceptable unit. The only thing that's good about her is her pairing with Hector, in my opinion.

Wil: One of my favourite units. I prefer him over Rebeca... not that you can't use them both.. they have support convos, and Wil is the prime suspect for being Wolt's father... [Wolt is Rebeca's son.] Wil becomes a great unit, and if you use him well in Lyn's story, he should be at a fair level when you get him back later. Just be careful not to leave him out in the open, since he's an archer, who can only attack from a distance.

EtsukoNino's comments
Depending on how much you use them, Wil and Florina can become your absolute worst or some of your best units.
Wil: Wil's greatest faults come in his class. He's an archer which means he won't be able to attack up close even when you promote him. A lot of people are quick to drop Wil for Rath later in the game who has more movement and can learn to use a sword later in the game. However, Wil is a great unit and has always ended up being one of my best. His stats are good and he's able to support with a fair range of other great units, meaning he can get added stat bonuses later in the game. His supports are generally fun to read too!
Florina: Ah, Florina. When I first played the game I didn't use her at all! Like all pegasus knights, she starts off as an epic failure. Anything and everything is capable in killing her two hits and if you're a unit whore, you'll get tired of restarting the game for her. Don't be fooled by her pitiful, earlier stages though! If you're patient and level her up, she can easily take out armies! Being a peg. knight, she will always have a weakness for arrows but you can combat that by using the Delphi shield that you get later on in the game. When you get her sisters, Florina can also perform the Triangle Attack on enemies. Should you choose to take Florina to the final chapter, she can support with Hector, Lyn, and Ninian.

Danni-chan's comments:
Wil and Florina! Lyndis' Legion is getting bigger now!
Wil: Wil's a rather good archer, in my opinion. Then again, I've got enough patience to deal with units that need a little protecting. *loves mages* I usually alternate between him and Rebecca, who you'll get later on, because he's stronger than she is. He can actually finish off units when he's trained up enough. He's also a fun character and is undeniably the daddy of Roy's best friend in FE6.
Florina: SHE RIDES ON AWESOME'S BACK, OF COURSE SHE'S A GREAT UNIT! *shot* Seriously, if you're patient enough to take care of her, she's worth it. Usually. She's got great RES, so you won't have too much of a problem around mages. (Unless there's a lot of them.) And always be careful around archers and other melee units--her defense isn't too great. Neither is anything else when you first get her, actually. Handle with care!

KuraiKitty's comments:
Wil: Since I highly favor Rebecca for her higher evasion skills, I generally ditch Wil for the luckier archer. Though Wil is noted for his relatively high Strength and Defense (for an archer), archers shouldn't be in harm's way to begin with, making the latter stat a moot point. Really, though, it's all a matter of preference. I did find him to be far too slow to be of any use, however.

Florina: Having favored high Speed/Luck combos for as long as I can remember, Florina fits this bill perfectly. Though initially very frail, leveling her up a few times will quickly relieve this problem, making way to a fast, very evasive unit. Her extra movement will be quite the valuable asset in later levels, especially once the chapters take the player to the mountainous terrain of Bern.

Her relatively high Resistance will be most welcome, especially in later levels.

However, tread with caution- with her low Con, her Speed takes quite a beating from Iron Lances. Slims are the best weapons for her, though she takes marvelously to swords after promotion.

Chapter 4: In Occupation's Shadow

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

New characters: Dorcas
How - Dorcas: Send Lyn east, talk to Fighter.

Items: Iron Axe (dropped by enemy)

Victory:
Protect Natalie for 7 turns.

Boss:

Carjiga
Class: Brigand
Level: 8
HP: 27
Weapon: Steel Axe

Enemy Reinforcements:

Turn:........Class:........Level:........Place:
2-6........Mercenary........1........ Top Right Corner
2-6........Fighter........2........ Bottom Left Corner

Strategies:

Magegirl Nino's strategy:

Protect! I don't think you should worry about the boss. Just protect everybody. First off, send Lyn to the right opening. When you get a chance, have her talk to Dorcas, and he'll join your team... Sain and Kent should stand in the big opening, their swords equipped, ready for the flood of brigands. Send Wil up to the left to fight the enemies on the other side of the wall. Once you clear the right, send Lyn and Florina up to handle the reinforcements in the top right.

Dios de Television's strategy:

Screw the weapons triangle! You want experience, correct? You must defy the triangle! Send Lyn alone to the right, Kent and Sain to handle the opening, Florina stabs the opening while Wil speeds up the process. || Dorcas has vulneraries, so he can handle the swordsmen; send Lyndis south to deal with an archer. When you get wiggle room with Kent/Sain send them their separate ways. One goes southwest and one goes southeast towards the boss. Florina also has vulneraries as well.

EtsukoNino's strategy:
If you goal is just to survive, have Kent and Sain protect the front entrance with their swords equipped. Make sure one of them has a vulnerary just in case, especially if you're playing on hard mode and Sain only has a lance. Have Wil protect the west entrance where the bandit is trying to break down the wall. Florina can help Lyn at the east or help Wil when the wall breaks. If you're going for the experience, stick Sain or Kent in front of the entrance to Natalie's room with Wil behind him for support. Have the other units charge in on the boss and whatever other units you feel like killing. KEEP IN MIND: even when you kill the boss, you STILL have to survive 7 turns and reinforcements wilL STILL come.

KuraiKitty's strategy:
This is where you can do one of two things: play offensively, or play defensively. Personally, I prefer the latter route, myself. Using the weapon triangle (I'm not sure about you, but 15% accuracy increase and a 1 increase in damage is quite nice...), send Lyndis eastward, recruiting Dorcas in the process. Send Kent and/or Sain down with Iron Swords (Giving Kent the Iron Lance if you're in Hard Mode to compensate for Sain's already poor accuracy.), making sure to spend the first turn clogging the southern entrance before moving forward in a complete offensive. Wil can generally handle himself to the west.

Once the brigands to the east are killed, feel free to send out Florina- the mercenaries that show up are easy pickings for her, so long as you give her a Vulnerary and prevent the mercenaries from sitting in the forested tiles.

Character Analysis:

Magegirl Nino's comments:

Dorcas: ... HAHAHAHA!! DORCAS OMG!! Ok now that that's out of my system... I don't like this guy. If you want a Warrior, I like Bartre better... Even though he doesn't have the best name either... BAR TRAY! I apologize... That wasn't mature... But seriously... o.o; Bartre has better accuracy, in my opinion. I never use Dorcas...

Dios de Television's comments:
If Dorcas ever dies on you... oh well. Don't bother restarting your game, more useful characters will come.

EtsukoNino's comments:
Dorcas: I never used him but my brother has so I'll say what he says, "He's great, he's really good! BLAH BLAH BLAH." Even for my brother, Dorcas never made the cut to the final chapter. In Lyn's chapter he's a good unit to have. Have him weaken you enemies and have your weaker units come in and hijack exp.

Danni-chan's comments:
Lol, Dorcas must be helping cook meals or something for the money that he's paid for Natalie's illness, because it doesn't seem like he gets to do much fighting. XD I don't use him except for the occasional weakening of a unit so someone else can take the exp. (He looks like a nice guy, though...)

KuraiKitty's comments:
An awful unit. Dorcas's stats will be sub-par at best, and fails to be competitive unless stat-increasing items are given. Even as a unit weakener, he takes far too much damage to be useful and is best left behind. Even moving him is a waste of time. No wonder why he didn't get paid much.

Soaring Raven Vika's comments:
Jeez, with all this negativity about Dorcas you'd think he'd be a pathetic unit. He's not, actually. He may not make it to your endgame (Bartre, when you get him, will quickly become your player of choice) but for the time you actually bother to use him he's not that bad. He's got some solid defense and attack as you'd expect from a Fighter. (Bartre will beat him hands down in speed.) Since Lyn mode focuses on throwing axe-wielding bandits at you, he doesn't get the chance to shine, but he's lethal against lance-wielding soldiers.

Chapter 5: Beyond the Borders

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

New characters: Serra, Erk

How - Serra and Erk: Send Lyn to speak with Serra.

Shops:
Armory:
Javelin - 400g
Hand Axe - 300g
Iron Bow - 540g

Items: Iron Sword: Bandit in top right drops

Victory:
Defeat all enemies

Boss:

Bug
Class: Brigand
Level: 9
HP: 29
Weapon: Steel Axe

Enemy Reinforcements:

None

Strategies:

Magegirl Nino's strategy:
First send Lyn to speak to Serra. Heal Erk, and have him attack the archer. Sain and Kent can go beat up the brigand directly above, and you could possibly send Florina towards the mercenary near where the archer was. The Brigand that's left has an Iron sword. Watch out for the archer near the armory. Don't send Florina. o.o; Kent or Sain can go and get javelins for the three of them. The boss won't move. You can beat him with ranged attacks if you want to. To give Wil or Erk a little extra experience.

Dios de Television's strategy:
There's no wrong way to do this. I forgot to count, but I think this is the one level where you outnumber the enemy. Just.... move forward until you get to the boss and then kill the boss with Erk. Easiest way. Or you can try out the Mani Katti if you've been saving it. Don't ration the weapon into uselessness.

KuraiKitty's strategy:
Dios has a pretty good strategy, though I personally refrain from using the Mani Katti during this chapter. Its usefulness is far too great to waste it on cannon fodder like this. Prevent Dorcas from getting exp (just a waste, really...) by keeping him in the back, and keep Serra at hand to heal up those little cuts and bruises. Remember: Florina's still fragile!

Character Analysis:

Magegirl Nino's comments:

Serra: Serra is your sole healer for the rest of Lyn's story. However, Once I get Priscilla, I usually neglect Serra because Prissy can move faster. Poor Serra. She becomes a pretty good light magic user if you train her enough. But I find that when Lucius becomes a Bishop, he can do both of their jobs and more.

Erk: Erk isn't a bad mage. He's weak to physical attacks, but what mage isn't? He becomes a powerful ally when you spend time on him. Personally, I prefer Nino. For reasons other than the obvious. XP

Nomad Rath's comments:
Serra: ....Dear goodness, she's annoying. I only use her for Lyn's story, and then dump her for Priscilla, who is cavalry.

Erk:
I guess he's a decent mage, but when Pent comes in, many people just ditch him. Poor Erk.

Zelym's comments:
Erk: He is a good help at the start, but not necessary for everything; and he gets shown up by a Sage later. If you'd like all the magic users you can get, go ahead and use him, because mages have their ups and downs. His growths aren't the best, leaving his stats a little less terrific in the later chapters, but he doesn't die much if you tend to him.

Serra: Her personality can get annoying, but she's not a bad unit at all. Yes, Priscilla is better, but you get her later, and Serra is here now. Having both accessible makes for a useful experience because you can divide your units better, heal ones faster, and heal each other if needed, since healers can't heal themselves.

EtsukoNino's comments:
Erk; What else can I say that hasn't been said already? Yes, a lot of people switch Erk out for Pent but once you promote Erk, ERK > PENT. During Lyn's game, raise him to a decent level so when you find him again later in the game, he doesn't act all suicidal.
Serra; a lot of people neglect her for her personality but she's actually pretty good. She's critical in Lyn's chapter, being your own and only healer in the story. Later on in the game she can promote to a bishop and learn light magic which only a few characters in the game can learn. Her stats are good and (I like her personality) if her personality bothers you so much, don't read her supports;

Danni-chan's comments:
Erk: I love him. <3 He's a great character and has some great supports, and he's always been a reliable mage for me. (I tried using Nino when I got her and managed to promote her, but Erk was already doing awesomely and was at a higher level...and if it ain't broke, then don't fix it!) Use him use him use him. And support him with Serra because the other healer you get is a Mary-Sue who supports with half the men.
Serra: I don't know why everyone hates Serra. D: I think she's funny! When she's a cleric, she's just your average cleric. Heals things. Yeah. But she was AWESOME when I promoted her. It made me laugh that she did more damage than Erk did when she was 3 or 4 levels beneath him. XD Poor Erk. Since I hate hate HATE that red-haired demon Mary-Sue of a troubadour, I'm telling you to go for Serra instead. Plus, she healed more HP at the same level at one point.

KuraiKitty's comments:
Erk: Decent to a point. Though he's reliable, yes, I find that there are so many good magical units that he's just another one in the anima-user lineup. I personally have never gotten stellar results with him, but if you're going for a ranked run, then his usefulness can't be beat- using Nino will massacre your rankings.
Serra: Serra's not a bad unit- she's actually a better light magic user than Lucius, though I love 'em both to death. Serra's stat caps are well-suited to her class, allowing her to become a good evasive and offensive unit in one package. While her HP and Defense (naturally) leave something to be desired, her usefulness is unparalleled in Lyn's story, as she's your only available healer. Not only are her supports rather amusing, but she gets her own theme music and moves much farther in deserts than Priscilla. Oh, and she's not a Mary-Sue, thank goodness for that.

New characters: Matthew, Rath

Items:
Angelic Robe - Chest
Armorslayer - Chest
Door Key - House in the middle of the map.

Victory:
Trigger three switches

Boss:

Bool
Class: Knight
Level: 5
HP: 26
Weapon: Steel Lance

Enemy Reinforcements:

None

Strategies:

Magegirl Nino's strategy:

I always send Rath up to get Matthew, and immediately send Matthew to the right to get the Angelic Robe. On the way, have Matthew open the door to the first switch, and have whomever can reach go step on it. Who you use the robe on is your business. Angelic Robes add 7 hp to whomever you give it to. Meanwhile, take out the Mercenaries near the bottom of the map with Wil, Erk, and one of the cavaliers while the other cavalier visits the house to get the door key. Send a small group of people toward the door near the bottom right, and another small group to meet up with Mathew. Beat up the soldier near the other door, and have Matthew go in there to get the ArmorSlayer. Once someone stands on the switch in the bottom right corner, the boss room opens. You'll see an archer, and a strong looking Knight. Bool isn't too bad, though. Don't send Matthew up there. o.o; Wait until you get some other people up there. You can pound at him with Erk, because he's got a magic weakness, or give the Armor Slayer to Lyn and let her kick his butt. Or you could try to beat him with Sain and Kent... There's a hundred ways to get this guy. But when you're finished, have someone step on the switch, and you're done.

Tibarn's Strategy: Pssst, hey. Use the Angelic Robe on Florina. Matthew's good at dodging and staying out of trouble, Florina isn't so good at either of those. People are drawn to Florina like she's a big ol' bug zapper. Only, you know, this time it's the zapper that flies around and the mosquitoes are like those things from Jumanji.

Character Analysis:

Magegirl Nino's comments:

Matthew
: Ooooh Matthew! We love you Matt! I spend a lot of time on this boy. For me, he becomes Jaffar-level-kick-a** before he even gets promoted. He's a wonderful addition to your team. ^.^ Four stars. But of course when you first get him... Ooooh no. Keep him far far far out of trouble. He's worse than Florina. o.o; Send him after weak units with a backup friend. I love this guy. Just spend time on him, trust him a little more than you think you can, and he'll kick butt for you.

Rath: Oooh... Rath... sweatdrop ::Glances at Rathy-kun:: Well... If you take time to promote him, realistically, he's a good unit. I never got him a spot in my final party... ::Guilt:: You see, if he stays level 8 throughout Lyn's story, because you were too busy leveling up everybody else, then he comes into Eliwood's story when your party is at about... Level 15 or so, you've already started promoting your units... Rath is just behind. You could abuse the arena in the next level, however. I never miss a chance to abuse the arena.

Nomad Rath's comments:
Matthew: He's very weak at first, because he's a little thief, so keep him safe and let him mooch some killing exp. once in a while, if you want to use him. Most people prefer him, due to the fact that you can get him to grow all the way up into a level 20 assassin. I personally prefer Jaffar, because I mainly choose my units based on if I like them or not.

Rath: He levels up very slowly in Lyn's story, because he's already at a high level for that story, making him your strongest character aside from Wallace, who you only get to make sure that you don't lose. You get Rath again a good while through the game, and his level is probably low... not as low as others might say, because he's still a decent unit when you get him back. Seriously... by the next two levels, I already have him maxed out in his first tier, and several levels into his 2nd tier. I always bring him into my final level with the reinfleche bow, I think it's called. He is UTTER PWNAGE.

Dios de Television's comments:
Rathy Kun: Slow to level up, but sometimes you need an archer somewhere double the distance than a land unit. He's worth using most of the game, but you get so many mages later that can use strong attacks both far and close quarters that Rath ends up being unused. [however, Rath can learn to use swords, too.]

Matthew: Useless at first, like most beginner units. You'll end up with the choice of Matthew or another thief named Legault; if you don't level up Matthew now the choice becomes obvious later.

Tibarn's comments:
Matthew: Definitely my favorite thief, he's a funny guy, a great character with an excellent story, and he has quite possibly the best dodge in the game. I don't always take him to Assassin, because he can be superfluous to Jaffar... but I also know that he can make one hell of an Assassin. Jaffar just... is so good already... ._. It's much easier to use him. Matthew's unbelievably frail at the beginning, but if you put some work into him in Lyn mode, it'll be a big help when you get to Hector mode.

Rath: RATH. HOLY s**t RATH. Way underappreciated, I consider him the single best archer in the game, despite his inability to use ballistae (he's kind of attached to his horse). Of course, I never use ballistae anyway. Mneah, ballistae. No wait, there is one level I use them, right after you get back from the Dread Isle, there's one there that is great for taking down pesky wyverns. BUT RATH OH MY GOD. He's unbelievable. I personally like to give Rath Afa's Drops if it's still worth it by the time I get them. A good Rath can take control of the entire battlefield, and his sword crit looks almost as cool as Lyn's and Guy's crits. Support him with Lyn to make them both into critmasters, and watch as Rath destroys everything in his path. I can't tell you how many times Rath made me bust out laughing with joy in my last playthrough just from the totally awesome way he would annihilate everything that came his way.

Rath also has the single coolest endgame quote of any character. That quote alone is worth taking him to the final chapter. EVEN IF HE'S STILL A LEVEL EIGHT NOMAD. YES I AM SERIOUS IT IS THAT COOL.

Chapter 7: Siblings Abroad

New characters:
Nils, Lucius
How - Both: Automatically given, no effort required.

Shops:

Vendor:
Vulnerary - 300g

Fire Magic - 560g

Items:
Iron Lance - Bandit near the first bridge
Pure Water - Village in the top right corner

Victory:
Defeat Heintz

Secrets:

Chapter 7x: Defeat Heintz within 15 turns

Boss:

Heintz
Class: Shaman
Level: 5
HP: 22
Weapon: Flux

Enemy Reinforcements:

None

Strategies:

Magegirl Nino's strategy:
Ok, first thing: Follow the directions and defeat the shaman with Lucius. As soon as Lucius has gotten rid of him, have Florina immediately pick him up, and fly him over the mountains to the bottom of the map, across from the boss. Make sure she has a Javelin equipped, because she'll be attacked by a Shaman. Don't worry. As long as you haven't been completely neglecting the poor girl, she'll get rid of him easily. Send the rest of the team through the map. Get Florina and Lucius in position and let Heintz attack one of them. He should be easily beaten within two turns. Watch out for the bandit near Heintz. You could have Lucius beat his butt for you while Florina waits to be attacked. Heintz should go down. If you did it right, you'll get a scene during the story where Ninian goes "Ooh" Or something. Then she'll talk about her ring being stolen.

Dios de Television's strategy:
Send Florina to defeat the rogue Shaman. If she was damaged heal her with Serra. Grab Lucius with Florina and send them over the mountain to defeat the boss. Everyone else will walk and most everyone will be useless. Want a surprise? Visit the southeast house.

KuraiKitty's strategy:
Agreed with Dios- at this point, her Res should be high enough and her movement is more than adequate for her to run over, skewer the Shaman on a spit, and be done with it in less than three turns. If you've raised her, that is.

Though it implies that you should destroy the Shaman with Lucius, I would advise against it- the enemy has high enough Res to force you to use far too many uses of Light to make it worth it.

Character Analysis:

Magegirl Nino's comments:
Lucius: OH MY GOD! I love this man! I love this man with all my heart! Don't you just want to hug him? =o Ok about his power level. It's OVER NINE THO-- Ok I won't do that to you. Lucius can kill pretty much whatever he faces in one or two hits. He's easy to level up. And very powerful. When you get all your magic users promoted, you'll notice that Lucius's Magic is almost double Priscilla's. Meaning when he uses a ranged staff, or purge, or whatever, his range will be HUGE! Plus, as soon as you promote him, his staff rating jumps from nothing to C. It's amazing. Lucius is my favorite by far, and I wouldn't go into the final chapter without him. I just wouldn't. He's a must for me.
And ok, he waaaay looks like a woman. And stands like a woman. And talks like a woman. But seriously. o.o; Give this guy a chance. So he was born girly. >.> When I first met Lucius (Yes. Met. Because I'm that much of an FE nerd.) I was like "Oh some village b***h.. ::Yawn:: because I was half asleep. Then he said he was a monk. Then I looked all over for evidence of him being a man-- I found it in the guidebook. It says he. 0.0;

Nils: Nothing really to say about Nils. Since he doesn't fight or anything, just keep him away from enemies. Have him to level 7 before you end Lyn's chapter, so that you get an extra side quest. =3 He's really useful.

Nomad Rath's comments:
Lucius: I friggin' thought Lucius was a girl for Lyn's entire story. It creeped me out to learn he was a guy.

Nils: Nils is Nils... He's useful, to give a unit an extra turn, but he seriously needs to find some longer shorts.

Zelym's comments:
Abuse Nils. Use him as much as possible. AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. He takes a lot of level, but he won't die when you receive him later. And he's excellently useful in both times.

Dios de Television's comments:
Lucius: Girly girl.
Nils: I've used Nils to level 20 before, he's quite useful. Not in this level though.

Soren-san's comments:
Lucius: Am I the only one who thought he was a guy? He may be girly, but that doesn't mean he can't fight! I used him as much as I possibly could, I got some impressive stats out of him! His stat growths were pleasing, as for his speed builds up so that he can dodge a lot of attacks, and his magic builds up quickly so that he can usually wipe out an amateur enemy in one turn(because he hits twice). As my favourite magic unit, I used him during the last chapter. He and Hector devastated the morphs, and Nergal too. So, don't neglect Lucius.

Nils: I like him more than his sister, Ninian. I wish that Nils was the one to travel with you. But anyways. Use him as much as you like, his skill of his comes in handy some times. Also, getting him to level 7 is really important if you want to do a certain little side-quest. Especially if you have Hector's Hard Route unlocked, because the half-price card is good. Very good.

KuraiKitty's comments:
Lucius: I love his personality, I love his supports, but by god, does his Luck suck. Though his attacks are fairly powerful and his staff effectiveness is virtually unparalleled, he's not going to be dodging much at all, making him an unfortunate magnet to attacks. With his poor Defense and HP, it doesn't bode well, especially for a front-line magic user. I recommend Serra, though his persona and presence make him a strong contender in terms of useful magical units.

Nils: A good kid, but you don't get to support him at all during the story. A shame, really. As Soren-san said, level 7 is the key- the Silver card and the additional chapter after that make raising him highly recommended. His Speed and Luck- the two stats he needs for high Evasion- are extremely high, making him a good unit.

3.............Shaman......1........ To the left of the boss
3.............Mage..........1........ To the right of the boss

Strategies:

Magegirl Nino's strategy:
First of all, you're going to want to get Matthew into the room with the chest. So send someone strong to try and beat the soldier in front of the room with the chest. As soon as the soldier is beaten, start pounding away at the wall. There's an archer in the room that's really gonna get in your way. Whomever is breaking the wall should have a ranged attack to fight the archer. As soon as you get the wall broken rush someone in to block the enemy thief. Also make sure they have a ranged attack ready for the shaman and the mage. They shouldn't be hard. Meanwhile start sending Lyn up the right side with some other people. Lyn and your other cavalier, Wil and Lucius and Erk... Send Serra wherever you want. Beat the soldiers up there...
When you get to the boss he's really easy. Just surround him with people who can attack from far away, because he won't move.

Dios de Television's strategy:
Bring all of your units which can attack 2 squares away. Rath, Lucius, Wil, Erk, and any unit with a javelin. Send Matthew west to get the chest. If you fail to get to the chest before the enemy thief, try and see if you can steal the thief's lockpick. Send a cavalier(1) with Matthew to break your way in. Personally, I also sent a mage just in case. I sent the other cavalier(2) east with another mage to deal with the enemy cavalier. Cavalier(1) is either healed or uses a vulnerary and blocks the boss's room. DONT STAND IN THE DOORWAY, but one space before so you're still technically in the hallway. Beat the boss however you want.

4.............Soldier........2........ 2 of them. One on each castle in the bottom left corner.

Strategies:

Magegirl Nino's strategy:
Ok, I am sorry to say I have never once gotten Wil to the ballista! Can't help you there. You can send one of the cavaliers, or anybody you want that can beat the shaman, the mage, and withstand the Ballista all at once and get to the village in time. Nils can help a bit. Send the person just within Nils' range in the direction of the village, have him play, then rescue him with Florina to keep him out of the range of that stupid ballista. This should give the unit a few more spaces. Anyways, keep everybody else where they are. The soldiers coming your way are really easy to beat with Lucius, Erk, Lyn, and Wil. Once the Ballista has run out of arrows start fighting your way down. Make sure you keep Nils working so he's level seven when you end Lyn's story. When you get down to the boss, check the enemies' weapons. They're reavers! Both the mercenary and the soldier will attack at once, so don't just throw Florina in there or something. She'll die. Attack each enemy with the weapon you'd least expect, and you'll do fine. =3 The boss? Lyn can beat his butt in a couple of turns. Mani Katti = pwn in this level.
Oh by the way, Matthew for some reason goes away during this chapter. I don't remember why... o.o;

Dios de Television's strategy:
I can honestly say that I HAVE gotten Wil to the arrow shoosty thing. Many times. Make sure you select Nils. Kay, so the dialog tells Florina to stay on the ground. Bull, send her straight for the ballista. Careful, its a delicate process now. Serra and Nils have to stay behind the mountain healing Florina as she is attacked. Going back, healed, and Nillified for another turn. Everyone else goes around. I never confronted the boss directly, just arrowed him to death. My Nils is way behind schedule. Matthew explains he was gone to find out information. This is where Lyn's party learns that her grandfather is being poisoned.

1,2...........Archer........1........ Fort in the top right corner.
1-4.........Brigand........1........ Fort in the mountains in the lower left corner.
1,2........Brigand........2........ Fort in the mountains to the left of the castle

Strategies:

Magegirl Nino's strategy:
Ok so the fog is going to come in on turn three. Get ready. You get Wallace immediately. He's got a Knight Crest. It will make you use it on him. -.- I always wondered if you could like... Use it on Sain in Hard mode or something. Anyways. Send someone up to get the torch. Station Lucius right in front of the fort in the mountains in the lower left corner. He can't go any closer, but he can handle the bandits that come out starting the next turn. Have Sain and Kent run upwards. Station one cavalier where he can handle the soldiers about to come from the fort in the top left, and the other Cavalier to handle any enemies coming in from between those mountains across from the other one. Usually I have Florina drop someone off on the fort in the mountains to the right of the village. This way, you block anything from coming out of there at all. Leave Serra and Nils behind to help Lucius. He may need healing if his spells miss. Send everybody else, with Wallace in the lead, across the bridge. Have Wallace equip an axe. Fight your way to the castle. Generally you won't get there until things have quieted down. I always beat Eagler with Wallace. It's easy that way. If you want a challenge, try to beat him with anyone else! =3

Rath's Strategy:
On hard mode, you don't have to use the knight crest, but if you want wallace later, you'll have to get to him quickly before he dies, which can be hard enough even as a general. Anyway, I always play this chapter differently. Usually, I go up by the village and go around that way, while keeping some units back to deal with the bandits over the mountains. Once I can safely move out, I make my way around to check for enemies and stuff, and then i surround the boss and finish him off easily... and I NEVER use Wallace to finish a boss. Ever.

Dios de Television's strategy:
Its amazing how exactly the same Nino's strategy is to mine. 'Cept I used Erk instead.

Cheap Trick: You can get Nils to level 7 by not doing anything for 60 turns as you have someone wait, and then Nils flutes them active.

KuraiKitty's strategy:
Normally, I use Wallace on the bottom left fort, with Erk as his backup- I never use the knight anyway, so at least he serves as a semi-effective road block. Hard Mode is marvelous in that you can steal the Knight Crest from Wallace, so do so- strip him of his prize and give it to a Cavalier if you've raised Sain or Kent. If you haven't raised either, then you can sell it later on for some good weaponry in the final chapter of Lyn's Story.

Advance carefully eastward, making sure to keep Matthew just behind the front lines, away from Javelin fire and arrows. The fort in the middle of the forested area is a good place to claim as a stronghold, so long as your units have enough accuracy to strike at foes hiding in the woods around the area. As a note: Eagler does not require one to use Wallace. Poke him with a few arrows from Rath, then move in for the kill with the Mani Katti, if you want an easy way to go. Otherwise, move in your Cavaliers and use the weapon triangle to your advantage, and Eagler will go down quickly. If you've planned it so that the last blow is from a magic user, it's even easier, as his Resistance is fairly low. Just make sure that their accuracy is high, or you'll risk retaliation and possible death. Use your head, and Nils's flute, to help you on your conquest.

Character Analysis:

Magegirl Nino's comments:
Wallace: : Ugh. This guy really annoys me. He's bald and loud. He's strong, but he's annoying! And if you train Lyn, Eliwood, and Hector a lot you may never see Wallace again! He's basically here to make sure Eagler doesn't kick your sorry booty. That's it. He's useful here. That is all.

Nomad Rath's comments:
Wallace: I think he's a cool enough caracter and I love his support conversations. Especially with Wil and Vaida. XD But I always use Oswin instead, because I like to actually raise my units from low levels, rather then using pre-promotes. Also, Oswin actually has hair.

Zelym's comments:
Wallace... Play in hard mode, only use Sain, and then by the end of the segment, he will be level at least 18 with all the abuse, and you can promote! All the units get NERFED for this, though, so it's not a good idea.

KuraiKitty's comments:
Wallace: Well, I've only gotten Wallace once in Hector's Story, for lack of lord training (my first play through, admittedly), so I haven't got much to say in personal experience. I also haven't played Lyn's story on Easy, so I'm not sure how much worse he could get if he used the Knight's Crest early. :/ His personality is funny, but I have serious doubts that he's at all useful in the later parts of the game, especially since you can miss him if you don't fulfill the proper chapter requirements later on.

Magegirl Nino's strategy:

Here we go! Last chapter in Lyn's story. If you've been using Lucius and Serra a lot, and forgot to buy them a lightning and heal staff earlier in the game, they've just about run out by now. (They always do for me.) So the first thing I do is check all the evil guys' ranges, and send Florina flailing madly toward the shops in the bottom. Everybody else hurries their butts up to try and get to the Energy ring. Or to try and gain any ground at all before it starts raining. When you get the energy ring, use it on someone right away, because it's leaving after this chapter. Beat up anybody in your way. It's not that hard. However, when I got everybody down to the shops, I ended up with all those stupid cavaliers trying to eat my Matthew! (Lucky my Mathew was level 8 ). So try and keep your strongest units up at the front so that they can deal with them. Once you've got most of the enemies cleared out, it's time to deal with Lundgren. Beat up that knight in front of him, but don't get too close. The evil man has an evil Javelin. o.o;
Now. If your Lyn is very, very strong, you can try to beat him with Lyn. Set up a rescue system. Have Florina standing by, don't attack with Lyn, but let her granduncle attack her, then rescue her, have a cavalier take her, put her down, get her healed, and Nils her up.
I find Lucius the easiest. Whilst Lung face has his Lance equipped, he can't hurt your Lucy-boy. Have Lu attack, rescue him with Florina, take him and put him down with a cavalier. Next turn, rinse, repeat. Never leave him in Lundgren's range. This should take only two or three turns. In my experience, Sain and Kent can't handle him. Wallace can do it, but who wants to waste the exp on him?! I don't think anybody else can be strong enough at this point. Maybe Erk can do the same as Lucius if you've been working on him. OH! A note! Make sure that after you beat Lundgren, you sit around and have Nils play to people until he's level 7. This way you can get that Kishuna level later.

EtsukoNino's strategy:
Building off of what Nino said, I'd also like to add that it rains every few turns in this chapter, thus, critically reducing your movement. You can continue to press on in the rain or just stay tight in area until the rain ends. This chapter is an excellent way to get experience for those non-combative units like Nils and Serra. Have a unit with a distanced attack like magic or a javelin attack Lundgren, have Nils play for him and move the said unit out of the way. If needed, have Serra heal. Repeat, and repeat until Lundgren breaks his javelin or you just get bored and decide to kill him off. Lundgren will never move. Other things you should note is that any and all items you have gained from the last few chapters will dissappear from your inventory after this chapter so don't be afraid to use your more expensive weapons and stat-boosting items. Also, if you're hell-bent on leveling up Serra on this chapter, don't raise her level up too high. For some reason, if you have her at a very, very high level in Lyn's story she comes back at like... level eight in Eliwood/Hector's story. Same goes for Matthew.

KuraiKitty's strategy:
I'd just like to add two things. First off, if you don't plan on abusing Lundgren for experience, you can feel free to sell Wallace's Knight Crest to the store for extra cash if you need it. After all, promoting early is the worst thing possible- always go up to level 20 before promotion! Secondly, if you should be abusing the idiot who can't even deliver poison properly (Come on, how hard is it to tip a whole bottle of poison in? If you want to poison someone, it's not hard to deliver a lethal dose. Lundgren, you're a moron.), just keep in mind that the rain will not stop after approximately 50 turns have passed, making running in and rescuing units difficult. Wear out his Silver Lance, then his Javelin, and you can cash in on free hits. Waiting for his health to recover does get tedious, though. Remember to level Nils up to at least 7!

Character endings:
Kent, Knight of Lycia: For his bravery in fulfilling his command, Kent is named Knight Commander of Caelin. It is a high honor for one so young, but no one denies his worth.
Sain, Knight of Lycia: Sain has earned the honor of being named subcommander of the Caelin knights. Despite his promotion, he still scoffs at authority and woos the village girls. He is much loved by the citizenry.
Florina, Pegasus Knight of Ilia: Florina has arranged to stay in Caelin. She spends her every waking hour in rigorous training, hoping to become invaluable to Lyn. Her fear of men has lessened, but…only slightly.
Wil, Archer of Pharae: With his cheery outlook and his happy-go-lucky demeanor, Wil has become quite dear to Marquess Caelin’s household. Kent is teaching him manners befitting a sworn man of Castle Caelin.
Dorcas, Fighter of Biran: Once Lyn’s true heritage is recognized in Caelin, Dorcas returns to his home in Biran. There, he cares for his wife and makes a good living as a mercenary, fighting the local bandits.
Serra, Cleric of Ositia: Ultimately, Erk succeeds in seeing Serra safely to Ositia. While her behavior is irritating at best, she is sorely missed. Her ascerbic tongue has become legendary.
Erk, the Wandering Mage: His contract with Serra complete, Erk sets off for Etruria. His time as a mercenary is just part of his training, and he is glad to see it end. He has since returned to his mentor.
Rath, the Sacaen Nomad: In the celebration following Lyn’s return to Caelin, Rath slips out unseen. Whether he has returned to Sacae or has continued to work as a mercenary, no one knows.
Matthew, the Enigmatic Thief: Matthew vanishes after the final battle, and his whereabouts remain a mystery.
Nils, the Mysterious Musician: Nils and his sister, Ninia, take their leave of Castle Caelin after a few days. He may well be traveling the land, mastering his musical skills somewhere.
Lucius, the Traveling Monk: Lucius studies in Caelin for a time, but he departs after receiving summon to another land. He has since been seen traveling with a hard-eyed mercenary.
Wallace, the Caelin General: For Wallace, Lyn’s struggle only whets his appetite for battle. He sets off in search of a cause worthy of his blade. He lacks any sense of direction, so it may be years before he returns.
Mark, the Tactician: Mark leaves Lyn to continue his training. He plans on traveling throughout Lycia. Lyn refuses to say good-bye, believing in her heart that she will see him again.
Lyn, the Swordfighter from Sacae: Lyn now lives with her grandfather as Lady Lyndis of Castle Caelin. Under her loving care, Lord Hausen recovers, and now the two of them go for many walks in the Caelin gardens.
On clear, dry nights, Lyn can be seen high atop a hill near the castle. Perhaps she is remembering the home of her youth, the plains of Sacae.

Groznyi
Class: Brigand
Level: 5
HP: 25
Weapon: Iron Axe
Enemy Reinforcements:

None

Strategies:

Magegirl Nino's strategy:

Here we go! Eliwood's story! So at the beginning of the chapter you get four units. Wow. Marcus can obviously go kick everybody's butts, but you don't want to waste exp on him. Eliwood, of course, is weak at the beginning. Team him up with Lowen and go start beating up bandits. They're not too hard. On the second turn you get Bartre and Dorcas. Ooooh yay. Joy. Joy indeed. Get the dragonshield with whomever is closest, and head to the boss. Fight everybody around him. Just keep Rebecca out of the way. She'll die. Duh. o.o; Now the boss, of course, won't move. So Rebecca can take him out after like ten turns. Eliwood would need to retreat and heal at least once. Marcus can knock him silly, and Lowen could do a pretty good job. I never tried with the axe men. o.o I just don't care enough about them.
Character Analysis:

Magegirl Nino's comments:
Eliwood: Here's the main character of this story. Classic heroic prince-type person. Brave, but kind of weak. You'll have to be cautious with Eliwood. Finish off enemies and level him up like you did Florina or Matthew for a while. After a bit he can handle himself. In Chapter 27 he'll promote and he will be able to use a lance.

Marcus: Marcus is your pre-promote resident old dude. He'll kick butt for you, but if you use him a lot nobody else will get any experience. And he doesn't end up the best paladin either. Use him for a while, then drop him for someone else. Don't waste too much time or work on him.

Lowen: Ok. Here's your cavalier. Lowen can grow up to be a pretty darn good paladin. Just spend some time on him. If you want to use Sain or Kent I guess you can just leave Lowen out of it. You end up with the same thing either way. A kick butt horse dude.

Rebecca: Yay. An archer. Oh goody. She's better than Wil when you work on her. I've taken her to the final battle before and she did pretty well. But she dies a lot at the beginning. Low hp.

Bartre: Okies. If you want Karla, train this guy, basically. He gets really really strong when he becomes a warrior. I, personally think he's ugly~ You'll have to level him up all the way to get him strong enough to survive Karla.

Dorcas: See Chapter four.

Nomad Rath's comments:
Eliwood: He's your weakest lord, but you have to use him, so get him to mooch some killing exp, and he'll eventually be able to handle himself.
Markus: He's your classic starting paladin that FE games have. I think Marcus is cool enough, but I only use him when I absolutely need him to kill a specific unit. Using him too much will not allow your other characters to grow.
Lowen: I like Lowen. Sometimes I use him and sometimes I don't. It depends on if I want to use Kent or not... I always use Sain no matter what.
Rebeca: Unlike what Nino said, I'd have to disagree that she's better than Wil. I use Wil.. not Rebeca.
Bartre: I do not judge my characters based upon how "ugly~" they might be... besides, he has nice hair. Anyway, I only use him if I want to get Karla... but I do prefer him to Dorcas.

EtsukoNino's comments:
Eliwood: Congratulations, Eliwood! You are the carbon copy of every RPG hero ever made! A lot of people dislike him because of his, "Let's go find my father and save the world!" personality but I like him. In fact, he's my favorite of the three lords. Sure, his attack and defense isn't out of this world like Hector's and Lyn could outrun him in a race any day, but Eliwood makes up for it in being an incredibly balanced unit. He fails pretty hard in the first few chapters and you'll probably have to baby him a bit, but your patience will be rewarded. He becomes a mounted unit and learns how to use a lance upon promotion.
Marcus: Newbie players make the mistake of relying on Marcus to save their butts. Marcus is strong in the beginning and can take out anyone in two turns or less but anyone would tell you that he isn't worth it. All he does is still valuable experience from your weaker and better units. If Marcus ever had a purpose, it's to be a meatshield.
Lowen and Bartre: Never used them, no comment.
Rebecca: Please read what I said about Wil in earlier chapters. Like Wil, she's an awesome unit and can support with some really good units.

Kurai's comments:
Eliwood: The phrase, "Jack of all trades, master of none!" would sit rather nicely with Eliwood. While he doesn't have any particularly debilitating stats (though his Res leaves something to be desired), there are none that excel, either. A well-rounded lord, Eliwood needs some serious babying in the beginning to get his levels up to a competitive level. While he gets a lance upon promotion, that won't be for a good long time- expect Eliwood to lounge about at level 20 doing absolutely nothing for quite a few chapters in the future.

Marcus: Now, allow me to say this, at the very least- he's not useless. In the early missions, he's an excellent meat shield- give his weapons to someone and let him run off to get villages, rescue Priscilla in a few levels, etc. However, he's positively atrocious in combat. New players to the Fire Emblem series will be tempted to use this unit because he appears to be powerful- however, his stat growths are so terribly sub-par (not to mention that he'll only get about 1-2 exp. per enemy in the first few levels) that using him quickly becomes a detriment. Ditch him as soon as humanly possible, and don't let him participate in combat.

Lowen: The proverbial tank of the cavaliers, his Defense is his primary stat. Unfortunately, both his Strength and Speed leave something to be desired, making his usefulness relatively limited. Use him if you want- I personally don't- but don't expect a speedy powerhouse.

Bartre: I've never liked Warriors, but he does turn out to be the best one in this game. ...Of course, being that there's only three, and the first one you get sucks and the last is a pre-promote (Geitz), that's not saying much. All in all, he turns out to be relatively quick with high HP and Strength, but his defenses in both physical and magical senses are poor, at best. While Warriors are meant to be sent ahead, his poor defenses are often the death of him. His stats are barely enough to survive the final chapters, and being that Dart is a much better axe user, I'd recommend not raising him. Of course, if you're in Hector's Mode and would like to get Karla, raising him is mandatory.

Rebecca: Rebecca... think of her as a ranged Florina. She's initially very frail, but upon promotion, becomes an evasive little devil with a Critical rate that's generally through the roof. Her Strength is high enough to single-handedly deal with enemies later, but at this point in the game, she's meant to kill off weakened foes. Her Speed and Luck allow her to be an extremely evasive unit, and her high Skill contributes to her high Critical rates later in the game. Her defenses are sorely lacking, but then again, archers aren't meant to be exposed to such attacks, anyways. Keep her protected, and you'll be rewarded with an amazing Sniper in the later half of the game.

Chapter 12: Birds of a Feather

New characters:
Hector, Oswin
How: They come in on the fourth turn.

Shops:
Armory:
Iron Sword - 460g
Iron Lance - 360g
Iron Axe - 270g
Iron Bow - 540g

Items:
Secret Book - Village above your starting point.

Victory:
Defeat all enemy units

Boss:

Zagan
Class: Fighter
Level: 9
HP: 32
Weapon: Steel Axe

Movement: Yes! He'll move toward Eliwood, I think.

Enemy Reinforcements:

None

Strategies:

Magegirl Nino's strategy:
In Eli's story I think you start out with about 10k in gold. Good! So. Send someone up to get the Secret book. Send Eliwood toward the little fort nearest you. Send everybody else to back him up. He's going to get bombarded. On the fourth turn, Oswin and Hector come out near the top of the map. Hurry them downward. They can handle whatever they find on their way down. The boss here moves! He's going to move down and try to get Eliwood. I usually use Marcus or Lowen to take him down. Buy Eli and Hector a sword and axe, respectively. This way they won't have to use their rare weapons too much.

Character Analysis:

Magegirl Nino's comments:

Hector: Hector is a beast! His accuracy is low, and he usually only strikes once in the beginning, but he can handle himself. There's no need to worry about this big guy.

Oswin: You get Oswin at about level 9. I like Oswin. His defense, being a Knight, is off the charts. Take your time, raise him up to level 20 then promote him. He'll be your big brick wall. Impossible to beat him.

Zelym's comments:
Hector is the best lord you get in this game. Being a reject and not using him is asinine. Not knowing what asinine means is asinine. Hector is not asinine. You can throw him in the arena and makes lots of money... You'll be rich.

As for Oswin, Nino is right.
