He'd been watching her for some time now. Patience pays off they say, and patience did pay off this time. There she went...again...just a little hop, but a noticeable one, and the girl was looking around self-consciously. Had anyone seen her?
"Yes, I did." The tall, dark-skinned man with casual jeans and a casual tshirt stepped out to answer the question that was written all over her face.
"As a matter of fact, a few of your friends have Youtube videos out. Kinda scary, man, if the wrong people find you..." He teleported from where he was to a few feet over, just to try to stop the rising panic he saw in her face, "But I ain't the wrong people. Needa helpin' hand?"

Tanya took a few steps back from the stranger who'd unfortunately caught her mid practice. It was just a small one seeing if she could accurately predict where's she'd end up after teleporting by focusing on a particular spot. So far she'd had varying degrees of success.
Apparently having a few friends along last time for safety reasons had been a bad idea. ********, that was the last time she asked anyone along to watch her for safety reasons, apparently she couldn't trust anyone anymore. on the other hand not having them there meant she'd not had any lookouts during this practice and now she'd been caught.
The young woman chewed nervously on her bottom lip. " Which friends and who are you?"

"Iunno," Percy shrugged, "Whoever OMGBFFJill is. Don't worry, a friend of mine had it taken down," he frowned, "Along with the blog entries. Man, ya gotta be careful. Ain't no where friendly to us freaks. I know I ain't anyone you know, but I got the power too. We're practically blood siblings, you know. I can help you out---even with problems, if ya got them from this internet mess."
Percy shook his head, "Man, all this high-tech stuff."

This guy seemed friendly enough though Tanya still didn't fully trust him. he could be some government employed tracking hound or something for all she knew. Then again it wasn't like she could really run from him and he was offering to help her.
She sighed softly at the mention of blog entries, those had been friends locked and still were a problem? Then again her friends weren't all that reliable it seemed. Still blogging was important, it allowed her to stay connected to the rest of the world and them to her. it was apparently however not going to be an option in the future.
" Hey don't knock technology we'd be nothing better than animals without it." Particularly simple technology like microwaves which were the extent of Tanyas's ability to prepare meals.
" Also I wouldn't mind help making sure I don't end up in the middle of a highway."

Percy held a hand up as a truce, "Yeah, I guess kittens don't get the job done."
Then laughed, "Highway? There are worse things! I'd hate to land myself in a wall or something. Or in the middle of a pack of teenage girls--Man, those teenage girls--I can talk, y'see, I got one."
Percy came forward now, offering a hand, "Sorry, I'm Percy. I can teleport anywhere I've been, so long as I can remember it well enough," he winked, "And I'm blessed with dummy-proof on my powers. Ain't able to stick myself in a wall or chair....I ain't never tried it on purpose either. You ever tried teleportin' to the place you're most happy with? Easiest thing to remember, and m'be the best start."

A wall! She could end up in a wall? No way that's it she was done, there was no way Tanya was taking those sorts of risks, for all she knew her inability to get anything done as of yet made her defective. it would be just her luck too , become a freak who's crippled power wise.
With a resigned look she shook the man's hand and gave a small smile " Tanya , and as of yet I can't even reliably get to a place I can see never mind one I'm imagining being in."
She tried to think about the place that made her happiest. The dance floor? Her computer chair? The chapters/starbucks on sheppard avenue? There were a lot of places Tanya liked being and felt happy and comfortable but she wasn't certain she actually had one that called to her more than the others. Not to mention that pretty much none of them were good idea to suddenly pop into even if she could.
Although a small part of the young woman relished the thought of scaring the hell out of the acne coated little b*****d that kept screwing up her order at the starbucks.

"Yeah? I felt like that too. In the end, I was tryin' too hard. Wanna go somewhere? I got plenty of safe spots to travel to, if you wanna see bits of the world. Don't know much about Canada though," He shrugged with admitting that, "Mostly America. I dunno, some people say seeing or exper'encing similar abilities help. I wouldn't know, never met another teleporter." He grinned, "Glad to meetcha, Tanya."
Percy hadn't a clue on how to help out another person, and some of that nervousness showed. He wanted to though. He honestly wanted to help this girl out and help her to avoid the disasters she was heading for with all the publicity her friends had been giving her. If anything, he was sincere.

Tanya felt a bit overwhelmed, this guy he was just so, happy or at least chatty. Still he was offering to help her and she sorely needed it, besides who turned down a chance at free travel. Somewhere in the back of her mind there was a snarky comment about airmiles but she shoved the thought away.
" I'd love to go somewhere I've actually never left Canada before so pretty much anywhere would be interesting to see." she smiled a bit at Percy. " Glad to meet you too, not thrilled to learn my friends are lying little bitches but at least you got the problem fixed. " She shook her head at that and sighed a little . " Anyways I'm up for a trip to anywhere safe as long as we're back before seven, I have a class then and my professor has this thing about being on time or else."

"I'll bring ya back by 6:30," Percy winked, "You ready?"
A moment later, they weren't there anymore and they were in some really dark place, "Man, nope, wrong one."
He repeated that a few times, exclamations about being in the wrong place getting more and more amused sounding--After that first go, it was obvious he was intentionally getting it all wrong. But he finally stopped, the two of them standing somewhere outside.
"Come on," he waved her forward to get to a clearing instead of underneath some low-branched trees, then he sat on the mostly dirt-packed and weed-grown ground, "Was that anything like you do?" He was curious. He had no idea--would she be able to take anything from that? He doubted it, other than the lesson that she would be able to do better later, but---Hey, it was worth the asking.

The trip itself had been both trilling and terrifying for Tanya. So many jumps so fast made her feel a bit off balance , mostly because she barely got to see her surrounding before they'd been off again. Still the knowledge that one day she too could travel all over the world in minutes was one hell of a rush.
After looking around for a few seconds Tanya followed Percy into the clearly and sat down herself. This place was nice, so very unlike the bustling city she spent most of her time in. It'd be nice to be able to escape like this from time to time.
She chewed thoughtfully on her lower lip before answering the question. " Sort of . I get that same thing where everything disappears for a second. Can't see or hear or anything and then suddenly it's all back." A little disorienting but worth the price she thought.

Percy nodded, "Ok, let's get started. How d'ya do when you're really into a video game? Or whatever you're interested in? Ya know when you're so into something, you don't know what goin on around you at all? You gotta teach yourself to get real interested in details so's you can concentrate and learn how to always hit the right place."
He walked over to a particularly rough looking tree that was part of a triangle. He now pointed this out. A young sapling and a stack of stones made up the other two corners. He pulled a can of spray paint from up in the crook of the three.
"Best way to remember is if you set something up yerself. I stacked those stones there, pretty sure you can move 'em to your liking. And you can color bits of the world here--It'll help you to visualize this place." He offered the can of spray paint to Tanya with a grin, "Give it a try?"
