I wish to use this as my own story thread for the horror/adventure/real life/fiction story I'm writing. I use different chapters and the story thread would be mess (no offense). So, I'll post my stories below for critique. Enjoy! ^^

Chapter One

The others at school claim the house I recently moved into is haunted. They always come up and ask me, “Did anyone die yet?” I think that’s ridiculous. There are no such things as ghosts, spirits, vampires, or werewolves. We all get in a huge argument, for whenever they ask me questions about ‘the hauntings’, I tell them that they’re crazy. Why? Well, because they are! There is no recorded history on ghosts or whatever you want to call them.

I put up cameras over the house to prove the kids at school that ghosts aren’t real. So far, I haven’t got anything. I’m hoping I’m not wrong…

The lunch bell rang. Everyone ran out the room to get a good place in the lunch line. Not that it matters, school food is always disgusting. I sat there and sighed, slowly putting my things away, until everyone but the teacher and I were in the room. I grabbed my bag and walked up to her.

“Um…Mrs. Cornwallis?” I mumbled.

“Yes, Lauren?” She was cleaning the whiteboard.

“The others seem to act like little kids still,” I sighed. “They believe my house is haunted and ask me questions about hauntings.”

Mrs. Cornwallis dropped her eraser and turned quickly towards. “I suggest you move out of that house. As soon as possible.”

I blinked. “Not you, too, Mrs. Cornwallis!”

She didn’t answer. She stood there wide eyed, staring at me. I rolled my eyes and walked out of the room, towards the lunchroom. I always sat alone with my own lunch. I didn’t have any friends here. I never had friends, actually. Everyone always sat away from, staring at me like I’m a piece of art.

I can’t believe Mrs. Cornwallis believes it, too, I sighed. I wonder who died in that house.

After school I walk home by myself again. I always seem by myself. My parents don’t even come at night. I fend for myself always. I’m perfectly fine with that.

I walked in the door of my old house. We moved here, to Connecticut, a couple days ago from Dallas. Yes, from Texas. No, I don’t have an accent. I threw my back down and yelled out my entry, as if anyone was home, it was still fun to do.

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a soda, turning around from the fridge. I gasped and dropped the soda, jumping back. My back was against the fridge, my eyes wide with horror.

There, standing in front of me, was a ghost, dressed in colonial clothes…

“Ah, this is the one,” he smiled.

Two more ghosts, a maid from the Victorian ages and an elder man, who looks like he died a couple years ago, appeared next to him.

“You’re coming with us,” the maid smirked and grabbed my arm.

“Ah?! What?! Get your hands offa me!” I yelled, trying to pull away. I should’ve been able to, their ghosts for Heaven’s sake!

Suddenly, a light shone bright, causing me to close my eyes. When I opened them, we were in the world between ours, Heaven, and Hell…
