It was the hours before dusk with the sun drifting high in the sky. Standing in the tall brown grass stood a lioness as dark as the night sky, varying in shades of black and browns. She was tall and elegant in her stance, staring at the lowering sun with a distance in her yellow eyes. Things had become difficult lately. Ever since Amana's death, ever since this whole fiasco with Sureika... Magnolia was beginning to wonder if things would ever settle down. Hardships had endured for her and her brother-in-law and now work was becoming hard to find. Perhaps things were getting too much to bare...

Multicolored eyes scaned the area. She was taking her fathers advice and was going out to spend some time she needed to spend with herself. She flicked the hair out of her eyes and continued her prowl. Of where she was going, who knew, Zarah was always doing somthing diffrent. She made her way to a shady tree and flopped down flicking her tail behind her, thinking about her sister... and her mother. She loved her father but she still wished her mother was alive. She shook her head trying not to think about it. She knew that she was dead and there was nothing she could do about it and that was it.

Skittering across the grasslands, a small mouse moved through the greens to see the large furry creature whom took up residence on the rodent's lawn. Moving forward without a seeming ounce of fear, it reached over to sniff at the pale furred creature with a squeak."Hey, get out of here." Magnolia moved close, shewing the brightly colored mouse from the female. With a twist of her head, Noli mused lightly. The lioness had much different fur than she, the brightness, the markings... she was beautiful. Smiling lightly, Magnolia took a step back. "I'm sorry to disturb you.. it's my job to keep the mice out of the fields. They eat the crop." She tried to throw the idea off non-nonchalantly, as though she hadn't noticed the alluring nature the female possessed.

Zarah blinked at the mouse then blinked again at the female who approched her. She let out a small smile, nodding to her. Her bright diffrent colored eyes, staring into Magnolia's own, yellow eyes. Zarah's look was soft as she nodded. "I've seen worse rodents around. Mice are nothing to worry about." She looked at the other female, looking at all of the diffrent fetures, she had somthing about her. "My name is Zarah." She said lightly.

Noticing the female was actually talking to her, Magnolia turned her head to regard her more carefully. "It's a pleasure to meet you Zarah, my name is Magnolia." With a flick of her tail, Magnolia lowered herself slightly with a grace. "Yes.. I have to keep all the rodents away. The farmers around here are very picky. May I ask what brings you all the way out here?"

Zarah smiled slightly and then flicked her hair out of her eyes again. "Very beautiful name, along with you." She gave a playful wink then arched a brow, farmers? She truely didn't know what those were, but she didn't feel like asking questions today. "I'm here because my father insited I needed to get out. I really don't see why though." She rolled her eyes at the idea. "You?" She caved in to question asking.

Had she just called her beautiful? Magnolia blinked as her eyes swiveled down to the female, a light blush painted her cheeks and for a moment Magnolia actually felt herself softening instantly to the cute white girl that was watching her. "Your father?" She couldn't help but ask. The only family she had was Kamea after her wife died sometime earlier. The talk of parents or other relatives seemed slightly strange to her. Magnolia had been alone and fending for herself for a while. "I'm here because I need money. It's my job." She moved her head out into the sun, shutting her eyes against the inflamed rays that now flickered against her dark coat.
