Pardon my vent, but I sort of have to get it off my chest. I'm a little calmer about it now, but I'm still highly irritated. So here goes..

I guess I should start from the beginning. I'll try to make these as short and sweet as I can because I'm sure it'll be long as it is. Sooo.. I have this gum in my shop called Digigum, so anyway I decided to make some little pixel versions of them and sell them for a little cheaper than the vector full sized counter parts. I got a suggestion from a friend and customer that it might be nice to see the little DigiMinis as I call them as the flags of the four cities. So in turn I made a Gambino, Durem, Barton, and Aekea DigiMinis and put them in my shop for sale. In the last week I've had one person PM me telling me that she stole the Durem one, but didn't know that anyone was selling them and then paid me for it. Then I had another person PM saying that she was looking around Photobucket and found the Minis and asked if she could use it.. At least she asked, but I told her I was selling them and she paid me for it.

And the rest of the story goes..

I have been having tons of customers in my shop this week, mostly wanting the Team Gaia Minis. Fine. Well of the girls that ordered informed me and provided me with a link to a profile where someone had my Barton Mini in the sig, but it was edited differently and animated. I eventually found the source of the editing, animating, and distribution of my Minis. I reported the thread and asked him nicely in a PM to remove the minis from his thread and sig, which he did, but completely denied that he stole my Minis and said that my art looked like his.

'Course being a little teenager.. he's trying to get out of it without having anything happen to him and being as grown up as he can about it. So I'm irritated that my art was stolen, edited, animated, credited to someone who didn't do jack from scratch, spread my art around without my permission, etc. etc. So there is a great deal of damage that has been done that can't be undone. Not to mention and my name was completely edited off my Minis.

I see a great deal of resemblance. I don't see how my art looks like his when its the same flipping base, etc.

I'm sorry to hear that someone took your art and ran away with it, Kurio. I think I've only ever had one person take my art and claim it as their own. In a sense, you might think of it as flattery. One of the highest forms. They liked it so much that they wanted to claim they drew it. I know how irritating it can be when you find your signature has been removed from an art piece that you worked so hard on. Teenagers are still kids in that way. They don't really think things through some times. I can only hope that he will think twice about taking someone else's art, manipulating it a little and then calling it his own.

Both of those are way better than my weekend. We just watched movies. My dog knocked my laptop on the floor and messed it up a bit.

Kita, I've been to a Ren Fest once. I loved it. I wanted to go back this summer, but finding cash for a 4 hour one way ride plus food and gifts. Lots of money.
