Gaia online - you might be able to buy it if you can find one being sold in the marketplace. otherwise, you'll need to use real money to buy virtual gaia cash.
MapleStory - you can sell any items in the MTS [Maple Trade System] located by the big green button next to the red cash shop button. Here, you can auction something for example 60% glove att scroll for, lets say 5,000 nx for arguments sake [NOTE: I dont know the correct "price"]
Advantages : you can get nx without buying any with your real money
Connected between all the servers of global maple story, dont know about the other versions.
Disadvantages : you might be scammed
