It had taken a while to get used to the body, even for someone like him. Numb joints, frayed senses, it was all just a part of traveling. But this... form. It wasn't like any other experience, which was saying quite a lot for a man... an individual like Cable. He wasn't sure he would ever be accustomed to this additional fur coat, the four-legged stance, the tails! But he could function.
Not for the first time, he checked the archive. There was nothing to offer on the world that surrounded him, though the landscaping and plants were by no means unfamiliar to him. There was no information on what he was, what was even going on back in his world. He knew he'd have to just go find out for himself by looking for something more... local. Could he even communicate through sound? Well, it was time to find out.
After a while of walking, following his senses toward the feel of higher brain function, a cabin of sorts stretched itself into his view. He paused, allowing his mind to stretch itself slowly, gentle and ghostly fingers that would never even alert those it touched upon. To an outsider it would simply look as if he had sat to take a break, awkwardly curling his techno-organic tails. A small frown creased his lips thoughtfully. He couldn't tell if these minds were like his or not. A human's mind, easily identifiable, but he didn't know just exactly what he was dealing with now, or if there would be any that were even remotely close to being like him. The prospect seemed iffy, but he was an optimist.

The four-leaf clover hovered above the ground only ever so slightly. Her mechanical wings barely moved at all. They were more for show anyway. She only needed them as an aid of sorts to float above the ground. Even so, she felt the need to sometimes flap them as if they were real wings.
Green eyes peered about curiously for any unique signs of life. When she saw the odd looking male in the not too far distance her head canted slightly to the side. His body from what it seemed was half mechanical. How curious. She had never seen anyone quite like him before.
She floated her way toward him, curious eyes examining him all the while. If she knew manners she probably would have known it were not polite to stare. But she didn't know much manners from being imprisoned for since she could remember. Though the curious thought of if she were able to control his mechnical parts did cross her mind once or twice. It was probably not a good idea if she wanted to make friends, though.

Well, Cable couldn't not notice her. Her presence, at least. If her approaching mind didn't do it then the overcasting shadow did. Removing himself from his focus, the male turned his head to oblige whatever it was that had been curious enough to approach. There was no one at first, then he glanced upward and saw the winged creature.
"Hello," He hailed her, pleased to hear his voice sound intelligible to his own ears. He didn't even notice how those swiveled forward on their own alertly, but it might have bothered him a little. "Feel like coming down this way?" His tone seemed like he were inviting her more than posing a question. Before he had even moved he had tested some of his powers earlier, and he knew he should be able to float up to her level if he wanted to. He would wait and see if it wasn't absolutely necessary, though, not quite trusting himself to actually exert anything until he was more secure with his body and his environment.

"Hello," She answered him politely. He was still rather interesting in her mind. Half mechnical and half flesh. She figured he was some poor guy who got transformed into these furry bodies like herself and many others when they came here. But she found this body rather comforting. At the least it wasn't too drastically different from her human body.
Responding to his request, her paws softly touched against the ground. She was only maybe a paw's length away from his face, though. Unfamiliar with personal space or the normality of a normal creature, she simply sat there in the same position staring at him with curiousity.

He hadn't ever been so relieved to actually be able to communicate before. Dozens of languages imbedded into his skull from a previous life and unsure whether or not he could speak even one. As she settled, Cable didn't seem threatened by the distance. Or lack-thereof. Some people, a lot of people, were afraid to be close, but not him. As long as things remained chaste, he didn't have any qualms. When he leaned back, it was merely to observe her face, her general form. He couldn't deny that she looked a lot like he assumed he did. Fur, long ears, three tails. The wings were different, or perhaps he was just the different one not having them. He had no other reference to go by aside from himself really.
"That's better," He thanked her kindly, the glow in his left eye dimming some as if out of courtesy. "My name is Cable. May I ask yours?" He could have reached out and took what he wanted from her mind, but he chose not to in such an instant, for reasons expressed previously.

Su wouldn't know the first thing about love or acting on raw emotion. Caring for someone was something hard to come by; even more so in her case. In the past she did care for a few who cared for her well-being in return, but even then it was a difficult concept for her. So unless someone else acted first, she would not so much as to touch another. But even something as meaningful as a kiss she might pass off as another "normal" gesture.
"I'm Su. Nice to meet you, Cable." He had a strange name. Cable? Like the wires connecting two pieces of hardware? She knew more about technology than about people. Everyday she was surrounded with technology, and her powers gave her control of such devices. "Are you named after the wires?" She asked curiously.

"Su." He echoed, nodding a bit just to show her that he had heard and would remember it. Even if their meeting ended within the next moment, he probably would. At her question, his ears twitched involuntarily, a small smile quirking his lips for no particular reason. She was a clever one, wasn't she? "Among other things. It was a name I assumed for a job and it stuck."
His azure gaze went past her for a moment, scanning the land, looking over the cabin once more. "Is this your home, Su?"

Home? She never really had a home. The cage wasn't much of a home even if she tried to make it homey. Here maybe less so since the world was still rather unfamiliar to her. And everything here was rather primitive in comparison to the cyber-punk world she lived in.
"Not really." She shrugged her shoulders before continuing, "I never really had a home to begin with, though. Is this your home? I've never seen you around before." Not that she got out much.

Never had much of a home? He tilted his head slightly, wondering if that was an uncommon occurrence for such animals as much as it was humans. She didn't seem to concerned, however.
"No, it's not. I guess you could say...I'm sort of new to this place," And this body, and these senses, and this speech. "I think I'll go have a look over there, though. Would you like to join me?"

Ever since she could remember she was in that government "cage" which she so fondly though of prison. Her mother sold her off to the experiment long ago, so she never really understood the concept of home too well. She was staying at a place, yes. There were many residents in that house who she was on neutral terms with, yes, but she couldn't quite think of it as "home" as she never really knew what exactly home was.
"Sure. Is there anything you're looking for?" Maybe he was looking for "home" since he inquired about that just now.

"I'm just looking for the sake of looking," He would respond, slowly easing onto his feet. I was only his left forepaw that was metal, and he didn't really need to be mindful of that one so much as the fleshy ones. That one would do its job of being sturdy if nothing else. "Shall we?"
He began to walk, one paw in front of the next. "So, Su, can you tell me a little about yourself?"

Nodding, she got to her feet as well, following his lead as closely as possible. Her mechanical wings were folded against her back, allowing the ease of walking beside him. But if he wanted to just look around she could've told him what was around here. Mostly nature stuff. A rather primitive place, probably even for him who seemed to come from a technologically advanced world.
"Like what? What do you want to know?" No one really asked her such a question before this situation. She couldn't exactly start off all cheerful and happy saying she grew up in some big happy family. Her knowledge of everything was limited. Maybe perhaps the only thing most familiar to her was isolation and loniness. Aside from that, she didn't know what else to say. It wasn't an exciting story either. Only a few months ago was she granted freedom from her captors. Then she somehow ended here in this strange world as a furry-incarnate.

Even in his future, there was a wilderness untouched. Preserves, really, like park sites of the twentieth-first century. Only they were the only things left. There wasn't much of anything to enjoy in that time, and that was the whole reason for his initial travel. No doubt he was from a world more advanced than hers had ever known, if his arm and tails didn't speak enough of it. If not, he had been to worlds that certainly would be. Still, Nathan had a definite appreciation for nature, life, just as much as much if not more than his technology. He would never forget his visit to Scotland before the time of his birth. Even though he had been on a mission of sorts there, it had stirred something within him. He had learned to appreciate quite a lot, in short.
"Is there something wrong with any of it?" It almost seemed as if he knew- he didn't, but it seemed like he did. Every person had something about them that they wanted to hide, something that was even aching to be told. Some more than others. Granted, she didn't exactly seem very troubled at all. Very gently, he told her,"I'll listen to anything you'd like to tell me." As they reached the porch, he climbed he steps, turning that one bright blue eye upon her.

There were parks in her world, for sure. Within her own cage was one of the largest abundance of nature she knew. Many sorts of trees and flowers grew there, but she was the only life form aside from the flora who lived there. All her companions were either trees, grass, flowers or mechanical birds who would every so often deliver her information or were used as communication devices.
She was never very talkative probably because of her isolation from others. Perhaps it was also because she didn't really know just how to properly carry out and hold a conversation with another intelligent life form. She could very well communicate with another, but for an extended period of time would prove difficult.
"Will you at least...give me a starting point? I don't know where to start." Green eyes glanced back, a little embarassed at her last statement.

Cable was pretty personable. After a while he was just so used to it that it had gotten to be second nature for him. He cared. It was different from those that only asked for self interest. As she confessed to him, he gave a small nod as if he understood completely.
"Well," He mused, "I guess the easiest thing would be your likes and dislikes. What do you like to do around here?" They didn't have to go into her past right away- it really didn't matter too much, at least not as much as the individual she had become because of it.
