Ok, first off, I have to get this out of my system . . .
OMG I have a GUILD! SQUEEEEEEE!
Eh heh, ok, I'm good. But really, how cool is this!
SO! First topic of discussion! The Harry Potter type RP. I'm thinking I wanna tweek the world a bit and at least have a more structured form of magic rather than one that moves at the speed of plot.

my answer: yes!! and my question: how would we tweak it? Would we keep some of the characters from Harry Potter? or is it just going to be a magical boarding school?

Damn my n00bish avvie.
You both make me feel inadequate.
But anyway, on topic. I think that we should just pretend it's the Harry Potter world, but that none of the Harry Potter characters that we know exist. This means no Voldemort and no war.
I don't know what you mean about a more 'stuctured' form of magic, though.

Mmmm, I like that, having it be HP without any of the characters. And I'm thinking there should be a little . . . more I guess, to casting spells. Like it takes some amount of willpower as well as words. So you could cast a lot of low level spells during the day but a high level spell would leave you feeling drained. Kinda like in Eragon if either of you have read that XD If not, you must. It is teh awesome.
But ANYWAYS! That brings up another question! Wands or no wands?

A lot of fanfic I read incorporates the use of that idea of magic taking certain levels of effort and draining you if you use a high power spell, so it'd be easy to use in the RP
But... I think we should use wands... because... they're magical?
