Sioka perked as she moved along, content after a successful hunt. The lands were alive with strangers, and since she had started making friends here and there, she was eager to meet others... The males still made her wary -she wasn't bold enough to pace up and speak to them- but she figured if she tried, she'd have the courage to meet other females...
With a bit of practice, maybe she could get good at this friendship thing...

A sigh left her maw as she sat at the base of a tree in silence. She needed some time to herself...away from Gaara to just reflect. No, what she really needed was a friend or some friends. Some female friends of which she could confide in, get advice and vise versa.

Sioka moved along through the lands, alone, but not as heavy-hearted as she had once been. The sight of the acacia and its welcoming shade had her altering her course so she paced toward it, and as she drew closer she noted the black lioness at its roots.
She didn't look very happy... Sioka spoke before she lost her courage... "Excuse me, Miss? Are you alright? You... Look a little sad."
She ducked her chin shyly.

Valora's head perked in surprise. Was she really that far into herself that she hadn't even sensed the other female? Forcing a smile, she welcomed the lioness to come into the cool shade. "Oh it's nothing. I wouldn't want you to worry about it anyway. Wouldn't want to put a damper on your day. I'm Valora...and you miss?"

"Sioka... New to this land, I'm afraid... Came here after losing my love and only friend.. Only just started meeting others.. I'm afraid there's not much you can say to put a damper on me.." She smiled sadly as she slid into the shade. "Are you sure there isn't anything I can do to help?"

" I too came here after losing something so dear to me. My pride and three of my cubs were slaughtered by two legged poachers and my fourth cub just disappeared. My king and I had gone to search for him but as time progressed we began to bicker. We blamed each other for what had happened. However, in our hearts we knew that neither of us were to blame, so we chose to continue our relationship as friends and split up to find our son."
Sliding to the ground she rest her head against her forepaws, closed her eyes for a brief moment and sighed. "By the time I arrived back to the lands of my birth...here, I had moved on and was ready to find new love. Thats when I met Gaara. Such a sweet male, riddled with so much pain and conflict. I befriended him and stayed by his side aiding him in becoming better. Over time I fell in love with him and he with me...or so I though. Just a few weeks ago he came to me with cubs. They were a product of rape and so I could not be angry with him. It wasn't his fault. His mind had been tampered with by this vile lion known as knives. Then not too long after I find that he has cubs with a demoness called Discord. Two boys."
"Its begun to make me wonder if the first set were of a rape...it's begun to make me wonder if he actually does love me. And to top it off now I find that Tyranny has returned to these lands after I find my son, a full grown adult now with a mate of his own. I don't know what I should do. I love Gaara with all my being...but I do still love Tyranny." Tears fell down her cheeks. "If I choose to go back to Tyranny it will kill Gaara and if I stay with Gaara instead of being with Tyranny who wishes to have me back...Tyranny...he'd.....I don't know what to do."

Sioka nodded slightly, sympathy filling her. Sympathy, and some understanding. True enough, she understood losing a mate.. Though her way was more violent.. Yet... Valora had lost cubs... And for all that she and Alkenth had loved, Sioka never knew what it felt like to have cubs grow in one's belly... To birth them, escourt them through this world, love them...
And to lose them... It was a pain she could not even guess... But she grieved for the lioness. The choices before her were not easy -the lesser of two evils? the greater of two loves? too similar- and Sioka had never had to face such a choice...
"Who... Who speaks to your soul more?" She asked finally, her voice soft. "Who reaches deep into you, and touches your heart, when he simply says your name? Who do you trust to protect the heart he could so easily crush?"
She glanced at the female, giving a small smile. "It sounds to me this Gaara has hurt you... And broken the trust you had... I do not know if I could recover from such a wound, certainly not twice..."

"Tyranny...I fell more drawn to him. I know many would think that I should go to him then...but there is the fact that we left each other to keep from hating each other. Even if that wasn't the case...I...I could never bring myself to hurt Gaara. No matter how much he's hurt me. I couldn't even wish such a pain on my worst enemy. No one deserves to be alone or deserves to have to deal with heart break. Maybe...maybe it would be best if I just denied them both and left from from this place..."
A sigh left her maw and she just shook her head. "No. That wouldn't work. Tyranny wouldn't just sit back and let me be alone. He'd make sure I'd have someone by my side...even if it meant that the lion was not him. Thats what I love so much about him. How he puts the happiness of his friends and family first before his own."

Sioka smiled, her heart someone warmed by the fact that there was no hesitation in the reply. Valora seemed to feel for both males... It was, a hard place to be, she could tell.
"Perhaps you left only because you thought such a thing would occur." She said softly, shifting slightly. "Who is to say you would have come to hate each other? I do not think such a thing would happen.. But I sympathize with you, over Gaara..."
She ducked her head, silent for a moment. "I do not think you should be alone for anything... I would hope, you would accept my friendship... I have choosen a den site not far from here... A small cave.. Room for myself, perhaps two or three others... We wouldn't be crowded, if you decided to visit.. You'd be welcome to stay and try to figure things out..."
