The smaller female had been racing through the woods, barreling down the paths and mazes of trees. She hadnt stopped since she left her den, and her breath was still graceful and eased. She was an energetic young female, who could do all sorts of cardio exercise and not feel a thing. Her breathing wasnt even beginning to become labored.
But her tongue hung out the side of her mouth as she ran..Panting only slightly.
As the forest threatened to end over a high cliff that overlook the sea, she halted, shoving her big paws into the grass and dirt in an attempt to stop herself.
She stopped just enough to see over the cliff to the raging waters and rocks below.
"That coulda been bad." She mused, smiling at her luck.
She had grown to be a very clever, talented young wolfess, who loved nothing more than a good adventure. Her mother, being the spiteful mean one she was, still had not completely rubbed off on Shezaaam. She was much too like her father.. But everyone always said that was a good thing,so she accepted it.
Standing back up, she trotted back to the trees, and stared the darkness of the forest down.

Dark pads lowered delicately onto the rocks, moving slowly but with a streamlined pace that didn't let up. Moving about swiftly wasn't the lone creatures aim, after all, his paws carried him right along the edge of a cliff overlooking the swirling hues of blues below as they crashed into the rumbling stones. Those pale eyes of his cautiously looked over the edge while he moved, behaving more like a cat than the proud species he was. Instead his gray claws scraped at the surface of the platforms, pulling him forward.
Gren was well aware that he was close to pack lands, and a rather feral pack at that, though it was unknown to him that he had already passed the border and was moving along the northern shores, brushing the side of the ocean. The wooded area to his side was pleasant, a comfortable setting though not at all an easy path for a weary traveler. Luckily, he wasn't weary. Or at least so he believed. Physically he was doing alright, managing well enough on his own, however, mentally, emotionally, he was very much still being patched up. Though the infamous parting was well from his mind, it would creep forward whenever he realized it was just himself sitting alone in the wilderness.
But that story was for another time, something he didn't want to discuss as he moved along, not having anyone to speak with regardless. It wasn't until something quite interesting caught his attention did his paws fall short of the rocks and instead one hung in the air like a pointer who had caught whiff of a pheasant across his path. But instead of a bird, the scent of a wolf attracted the male. A young female it seemed...but where? Ebony nose resided skyward as he moved, shifting his body toward the smell, eager enough to make contact even if this she-wolf was from a feisty pack.

Her head raised, staring deeper into the darkness. Her ears perked, and her eyes widened slightly. SHe was looking for any indication that someone might be there.. She could smell the creature..And it carried the same musky scent of wolf. Not as many smells were on him..So she assumed he did not travel in a pack..Or wasnt now.
"Hello?"
She called out, standing, and lifting a front paw as she stared..Much like a pointer.
She was always eager to meet others..She was a very social little thing. She very much adored the world and its offerings. But she couldnt help but feel slightly nervous about being out here, alone, with a big male wolf coming by.
"Is someone there?" She asked, stepping into the shadows.

The voice was called to his right, forcing his ears to swivel in the direction of the sound while his white eyes glanced through the foliage, searching for the source. His pose shifted comfortably, not willing to drive himself away from the scene just yet though it was obvious caution was on mind. Though they seemed alone now, it was he who was in a predicament knowing full well that any amount of wolves could come to her aid if she called them forward. Still, there was something about her tone that didn't seem threatening. Friendly even.
The male stepped toward the voice, hesitating only to contemplate the purpose of their meeting. Grencia couldn't be described as antisocial, after all, he liked people and used to be a rather social being among wolves. But due to recent events, the wolf had grown further and further away from civilization only venturing to start conversation when he felt loneliness tugging at his heart. Perhaps this was a sign that joining a pack would be useful...however, Gren couldn't bring himself to interact when he knew the chance of developing relationships would be strong. Commitment was not on his agenda.
"Evening," he murmured gently, stepping further toward the voice until his eyes spotted the young she-wolf, an adolescent by wolf standards. A soft smile breached his muzzle, giving him a calm exterior. "I'm sure you don't want my lecture, but isn't it dangerous to be walking out here alone?" His voice was not at all condescending, nor worried. A slight amusement rung from it, but nothing rude, and certainly mellow.

The female stopped when she the shadow move.
Wait.. Shadow? Was it hers? No..Hers was still next to her.
She cocked her head, gazing into the darkness. As the male stepped out, she breathed a sigh of relief as she had most definately been dancing witht he thought of being scared.
He was a nice looking wolf..He didnt seem mean..and his pelt was marvelously decorated.
"Well hello!" She said happily as she wagged her tail, stepping closer to the male to get a scent. Oh father would be angry if he saw his daughter sniffing a male..
"Dangerous? Naw.. Not around here.. I'm only..well.." She sniffed the air a bit. "A long way from home." She giggled.
"My name is Shezaam. Daughter of Wazaam and Twist from the Aqua Azul pack." She always introduced herself that way..She was proud, and she favored long titles anyway.

Upon observing the female, he noticed her lovely color pattern, the hues of blue and orange mingling delectably across her body which was tall, but still small in her young age, alerting him to just how old she was. Once more he wondered why she had ventured out alone at such a time without her pack to aid her if confliction arose. Not that he would be the cause. He didn't have the same interests as some males.
She certainly was friendly. This was an appreciated change of pace. As she moved forward to attain his scent, he traded his for hers but instead stayed still as his head moved to take in her unique smell. Gren respectfully watched her, hardly moving. He could only grin when she answered him, replying to his statement about being out alone in the night and perhaps she was understanding his perspective. All the same, it was obvious she was confident.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Shezaam," he murmured gently, watching her and listening as she spoke so eagerly. "You have impressive lineage." It was obvious to him that she was proud of her family, as she should be, but the mention of the alphas grew an intimidated anxiety in the lone male who didn't want to interfere with the Aqua Azul pack. They were powerful, of many, and though perhaps a broken pack, it would be easy to glue the pieces back together to become an unstoppable force. And it would only take a few of them to drive him out of the territory if he were aloud to leave with his life.
"I'm Gren," he said finally, "I'm no longer from a pack."

She watched him watch her, and her eyes were focused as she intently took in his look. He had an odd white marking..with a checkerboard pattern that seemed..to meld into his skin. As if that part of his body was nothing more than design. She cocked her head, her emerald orbs glittering. She had nothing to fear out here really.. She was powerful, and she had been trained by the pack's warriors. With her pack being so tense lately, she was happy to have that training.. Treachery and mutiny were what these times carried..And it feared her a bit. She worried for her parents, who she saw as being very much in love, but running a pack of bandits. She loved her pack though..That was for sure. They may have been at war, but her family was in that pack..And they believed in it.
"Eh, it isnt that impressive." She said smiling. Bringing up her pack, either usually broke the conversation, causing the other to turn and flee, or spark interest in the others eyes about the possible wars between packs. "But its special to me." She said.
She was young..But she was maturing quickly, and soon would be an adult. Or so her mother kept telling her.
"Its lovely to meet you Gren." She wagged her tail, and cocked her head. "No pack? Thats quite interesting. Ive never met anyone outside of a pack before." She had heard of them before..Loners..But she didnt dislike him because of it..Like her father and mother would.

He could hear the tone in her voice when she questioned why it was he was without a pack, but didn't mind, knowing full well that it was probably something unusual for the female to come across, coming from a highly shielded pack herself. His tail gave a swift swish before falling still once more while his white eyes continued to observe her silently, wondering exactly what her parents looked like to get that interesting mixture of colors in the daughter, and what her siblings looked like as well.
"Well, I was born into a pack long ago," he murmured before continuing, "But I was driven out when the population got too large. I second time I was with a pack was during a few vicious confrontations between neighboring territories who needed some assistance. I decided to join to learn how to earn my keep and in all honesty being a loner can be...lonely."
He was done talking about himself though it was very little that he gave away to the teenager. All the same, he was uncomfortable revealing any information about himself to wolves whom he did not know and perhaps only revealed the more intimate pieces of the puzzle to two other wolves whom had exited his life quite a long time ago. Gren was still young physically, but old and worn in every other way.
"You must love your family very much. That's good to know," he grinned, having noticed her statement about her pack and even though she was being modest, it was true that she felt a sense of pride in the pack.

Shezaaam listened to his story, her ears perked and her head high. So his pack had run him out? Wow.. Even the turmoiling pack she came from would never run out one of their own..Unless there was something deeper in the issue..But she was sure she'd never been through a famine either. She ate well, slept well, and lived like a princess. She was used to gettingher way, though she was kind about it. She did have a temper sometimes..When it came to someone stepping between her and what she wanted. But she was a good girl at heart.
"Wow. If my brothers ever were driven out,I dont know what I'd do." She said with a nod. She truly didnt have a connection with Tsunami, and Tempeste's death had sparred a great wall in her fathers eyes..Tempeste had been a clumsy fool.
"Aw..Well I'll be your friend Gren. You don't have to be lonely anymore." She said with a soft grin, as she nudged him gently.
She nodded, once again thinking about her family..Yes..Sadly she lvoed them. "Very much. They are all I have."

Gren had no doubt that this wasn't the sort of pack that had to fear from drought, starvation, and over population, so he didn't go into the conversation with the perspective that Shezaam would completely understand. Of course she could sympathize, but that wasn't the same as actually living it. But all in all, Grencia didn't regret the acts of his pack and actually had found their decision a benefit, or a blessing even during certain periods of his life where it was difficult for him to have wanted to live in a pack. His family had given him the chance to make something of himself, and see the world with a new, open perspective.
But at least she was close enough to her family to know that she would miss them if they were ever separated. That was an admirable attribute.
The male gave a soft smile at her next statement, wondering what had brought it on or if he had given the wrong impression. It was correct that being a lone wolf was lonely for one who was genuinely born friendly and optimistic, but over the years he had grown more accustomed to being on his own and learned to accept his fate. "When he can't see the future, he worries" someone once said about him, and it was true when it came to being around other wolves as well. He felt as though he had more control when he was with others of his kind, and even felt as though a future was visible. When he was out on his own...the whole world could be flipped upside down and he wouldn't have known the difference.
"Thank you, Shezaam. That's very nice of you," he murmured and gave her a gentle nudge back to express his gratitude for the offer. He didn't expect them to become great companions, knowing that soon enough he'd have to leave this territory and wander off into another.

The wolfess was a failure to her family..and she was still going to miss them. She knew something was very off about that, and knew that she would never leave her pack..ever..Even if mother was upset with how she had turned out.
She wagged her tail, a grin coming across her face and a fangy smile soon followed.
"So Gren, Now that we are buddies.." She began, teasing a little.
"What should we do?" She normally spent this time asking questions to learn of the other wolf, but he didnt seem like the question type..So she would start slow, and if anything, eventually she would get to the questioning.
She looked at him, cocking her head and wafting her tail side to side.
She liked this male..He seemed entertaining, though he was very guarded. Guarded was good..It meant there was intelligence behind that face.

The question seemed plausible and the interested wolf thought for a moment, not knowing the territory enough to know if there was anything they could do together. Plus he had to consider the parents or other potential pack members to run into. All the same, he was eager to once more start up his weary paws. Perhaps they could visit the ocean below the jagged cliffs that roared in the distance. Or maybe there was something more enticing in the current area.
"I don't know...do you have any ideas?" he asked the young female, looking into those emerald eyes of hers as if he could see the answer there. His tail shifted just as her wagged lightly.
His clear lenses slide away to glance about the shadows, able to see a good distance even during this hour, and his black nose dipped into the air, sampling the scents that wafted his way. The older male observed the woods with an air of curiosity while he waited patiently for a suggestion from the female. For once in quite some time, his smile was genuine, gentle, and eager. His mind was for the moment off the past, sidetracked by the youthful female whose friendly attitude gave him a bit of a confidence boost.
((He should meet up with some of her pack members sometime. Maybe in their next rp?))

Sure<33]
Shezaam saw him thinking, and hertail wagged even harder. He was thinking about it,which meant she hadnt been wrong to offer it. That was a good sign.
"Well..Theres always my favorite spot in the forest. Its like a little grove, but its a stream..Its a quiet, relaxing place." She didn't add thats where she went to escape her family.
She looked into his cloudy eyes, and wondered how he could see..But they were beautiful eyes. Truly.
"Ya know Gren..I gotta say, you have awesome markings..Ive never seen anything like em." She said, walking to his side, and examing the checkerboard on his body.

The grove with which she delicately spoke of sounded lovely. He had no objections to visiting the quiet area with the female's permission. Of course he didn't know of its purpose to her, but all the same he understood that the quiet little grove alongside a stream was perhaps a sanctuary for Shezaam. "It sounds wonderful, I'd like to visit it," he murmured in reply before giving a small wag to express himself further.
His eyes turned away for a moment to peer once more through the woods. Being a loner meant he had to be observant and vigilant at all times, even when around someone he felt he could trust. Finally he returned his gaze to the young she-wolf and listened to her compliments.
"Thank you," he muttered, "Your colorations are nice as well. The blue along with the orange combination blends nicely." Gren may have even found her attractive if she were a little older and his preferences not tend to be a bit twisted. Though, it had been a long time since he found any attraction to anyone, and he found it difficult to pull away from his antisocial tendencies as a lone wolf.

She wagged her tail, standing and offering a whine of happiness.
"Good! Then its settled. I'll show you the secret to my sanity." She smiled at that..She loved calling it her Secret. She enjoyed having something no one else had.
"Its actually, not far from here, but we'd have to leave now, because I will be returning to my pack before nightfall..Hopefully.."
She knew damn well she was never back in time. She was always being reprimanded by her father for being rebelious.. She knew it was just his fear of her finding a new pack..Which she wasnt at all sure she could ever do.
She giggled at his explaination of her nicely swirled colors. She was a perfect mix of her mother and father.. She was the pride and joy of her father..Though he was in a rutt of depression at the moment. His mind plagued with the thought of the pack failing. That was mothers fault..Her and Alas..Somehow she felt htat Alas was the cause of all this turmoil though nothing had ever been said to her about it.
He was an attractive wolf..Even if he was older, and she was young. It madfe him all the more appealing, and she smiled, batting her eyes slightly, but not enough to actually be considered flirting.
"Shall we go?"
