Flicking her tail this way and that, Cavalia paced along the streambed, in water up to her belly. It was cool on so warm and bright a day as this, darkening her red socks and her grey legs to a stone color. Her slightly rose belly turned grey with each splash of water, slowly covered as she drew in deeper. Moving toward the bank she continued to walk, not yet ready to swim.
"What to do today." The Princess mused. Her sister was away -visiting prides and exploring- and here she was.. Wandering.. Alone.

Tabansi was sun bathing, he was sick of his father's bull s**t and his mother's immaturity with that bird boy. His dark eyes fluttered shut as he let the sun beat down on him on the sunning rock. He was bored but he was also very relaxed right now and he liked the feeling. He was sick of choosing sides, so this was good for him. He too was alone, and though he didn't like it, he was dealing with it.

Cavalia moved to the bank and shook herself, setting across the pride lands at a gentle trot. She was rather hungry, she decided... Hmm.. Antelope? No... Wildebeast? A little too much effort... Something lite... Gazelle... Perhaps a rabit..
The sight of a male draped on a rock caught her attetion, making her crane her head to the right so she could better consider him. She slightly altered her course, drawing a little closer. She wasn't sure why she moved toward him, but somehow found herself standing there. "Hello."

Tabansi's nose scented her first, and his eyes slowly opened when he heard a greeting. He looked up to see a grey female with dark red features compared to his indigo. It amused him slightly, "Hello," he replied in his father's gruff voice. His eyes held a gentleness to them to make sure she knew that she was in a gent's company and no one elses.
His eyes looked to hers, they were aqua like the water that his mother loved so much. He smiled at the thought though that drained him of even more energy. "What's a lady like you doing all the way out in these parts?" he asked casually as he stretched and got to his paws. He jumped from the rock and landed quite gracefully for as big as he was, next to her.

She smiled at the gruff tone and the friendly glint in his eye. He seemed nice enough. She took a half step back when he jumped down, eyes a little wider at his sudden closeness.
"I... I was just out wandering." She replied at last, blushing slightly and ducking her head. "I.. I do it a lot... And you? What are you doing out here?"

Tabansi watched as she shyed away from him and she had a bit of a stumble in her voice. He watched her for a moment before he thought a moment for her question. "Getting away," he replied most sincerely. His indigo eyes never left her face as it would be rude of him to simply ignore her or not look at her while converse with her. His mother had taught him better.

"From what?" She asked before she could think to be polite, color flaming in her cheeks. "I am sorry.. I spoke without thinking... I am curious, but that is no excuse for rudeness..."
She shifted slightly. "I hope I am not inhibiting your goals..."

He smiled weakly, "It's alright, no offense taken m'lady." He looked to her more honestly. "Family really, all drama...no one is really happy. My mother mostly, she's tough though. I'm sure she'll get through it." he thought thoughtfully. He looked at her and figured she would be most confused. "My father left for many moons so my mother left figuring he had found another, which he had before, and mated with another. He came back furious, blamed her and my mother is now single with a cub. The other went with it's father." he laughed hesitantly. "Soak that up. It'll give you a headache, trust me."
