Styracosaurus is a genus of herbivorous ceratopsian dinosaur from the Cretaceous Period (Campanian stage), about 76.5 to 75.0 million years ago.
They are large animals, weighing in at nearly 3 tons, and standing roughly 6 feet tall. Like many other ceratopsians, Styracosaurus are herd animals that travel together in large groups, usually for protection.
While they are generally considered calm, good-natured animals, it is still advised that anyone attempting to raise one take extreme caution; the horn on the tip of Styracosaurus's nose is a deadly weapon, used like a dagger to pierce into perceived threats. Their massive bulk also makes them very dangerous, as they could easily trample anything that gets in their way.
