Dead guild = slow.

The fewer topics, the less activity in a guild. I do have some experience in this area.
An active guild is a healthy guild.
And if the guild is slowing down, it's because people have already put their two cents in for every existing thread, and there aren't very many.
Stagnation is never good.

I'm sorry I wasn't trying to be rude. I to have a lot of experience with guilds and their runnings. The amount of threads has nothing to do with the amount of subs. A guild with two subs can easily be more active then a guild with 10. Supply on demand. If you add subs too early then it can lead to a guilds death, they're unrelated for the most part. I wasn't trying to argue with anyone, I just think that maybe things have jumped the gun a little.

Active members are the best thing for a guild.

I'm pretty sure I misunderstood you completely, Fairy. I mean threads, and I'm guessing you're talking about subforums? I've never heard anyone refer to them as "subs" or "subies", so I assumed you meant subject or something. =s
I apologize, and if you mean subforums, I agree. Too many = less activity.

MATE. FEED.
She meant subforums. But, I'd have to agree with her. Sometimes too many subs can slowly kill a guild.
KILL. REPEAT.

As I said, I'm on the same page as her as far as subforums go. They're rarely necessary unless the guild is so active that the main forum is too busy to keep up with.
Aside from one for crewmembers and maybe one for spam, they're just overkill.

MATE. FEED.
So basically: more threads + active members = yay.
KILL. REPEAT.

What I mean is some of the forums are not needed so much, if you push things into their own subforum then the guilds looks kind of dead and thats not so good. Its one to be neat another to be over the top. At the moment its cool but if it goes at this pace then it will be too much too soon. Normally I would agree 1 for crew, 1 for spam/games etc and then add when the members demand. I'm not say that its happening to this guild, but it could. Personally change can take me a while to get used to because I am just that sort of person, I don't cope well with loads of changes at once (although I should be).

Just out of curiosity, did you have another account prior to this one?

Yes I did.
I had a falling out with my friend(in real life) last year and she in turn filled my inbox with hateful messages from herself and her online friends. I don't like arguing so I moved into my mule. When I checked back my inbox was full of messages so I'm guessing they will just continue to fill it up. All in all I have been on gaia for .... I dunno I think(maybe a little later) I was 13 or 14 when I joined, I'm 18 now so yeah. Whys that?

Because you said you had been running guilds for awhile, so I knew this couldn't have been your first account. x3

Ahh I see.
To be fair, this account was made a while ago.. All you need is say 10k to become a guild trader, its a fast way to build up gold. How long have you been on gaia?
