Mental abuse from a boyfriend I had when I was in 11th-12th grade. I hated myself because he made me feel everything was always my fault and no matter how hard I tried to do everything right, I was always wrong.
I haven't had much therapy, I've gone a few times but I'm on pills which actually are helping (the first kind weren't). I'm reasurred by friends and others since then that I'm not a ******** up and that if I do the best I can, then I didn't mess up.
And I'm sure the severity of the situation doesn't sound at all bad, but I know that if my next bf after him didn't help me get out of that relationship, I may very well have married that man. He was twice my age.

[ ]I think the worst would have to be a car crash that wasn't my fault. It was on Christmas Eve. I was only a few months into my permit and my mom was in the car with me. Our light turned green and the van in front of me went. I followed after, and some guy blew his red light at full speed and slammed into the driver side of my mom's car, right about where I was sitting. My mom's '04 Honda Accord was completely totaled. Apparently, if I had been going any faster, the car could've T-boned. My mom and I didn't have to be taken away to the hospital, but we had to go through 5 months of chiropractic treatment for back and shoulder pain. There was a very good eye-witness (Who actually happened to be an attorney or something like that), so no blame was placed on me whatsoever. However, it was very traumatizing. I was able to sign for my settlement money as soon as I turned 18, about 2 years after the accident. I'm able to drive just fine now, but I didn't drive for about a month for the accident and it took me even longer to be able to even look at that intersection, let alone drive through it. I was doing well enough with hours that I was able to get my license on time. I'm not the most confident driver around, but I can get by.

Wow... can I even follow after that... Of course, you got over it, so yay! Nothing bad really happans to me, just the realization that I'm pretty much a douchey, lazy, low-life, washed up, has been, kid who spends most of his time on the internet pouring salt on other people's wounds and oogling animated child pornography. I have a downloading, self-inscripted, addiction that could get me a pretty hefty fine, also that my mind has been put into dissaray through the things I've seen on the internet, yet I still crave more... Maybe the part is that I don't have an online persona, what I say, how I say it, and when I say it reflects that of my personality, I was a great student back in first grade, now I can barely... can't even pass a math test, my only hobby of gaming is highly flawed, I couldn't defend a fort on hard if my life depended on it. That good part, I love every aspect of, no mater what I go through, my life is much better then someone else's.

[ ]I thought he might've been stoned, but apparently, he was just stupid and "in a hurry". *shakes head* What's even better is he didn't even brake at all.
@Pretty When I Cry: According to my dad, who deals with people's idiotic car accidents all day, the accident I was in doesn't happen very often. For living somewhere where there are a lot of people who run red lights, you are definitely very lucky not to have been in any type of accident involving those people.

I think it would be horrible to get into a bad car accident. Driving can be such a scarrty thing WITHOUT accidents, you know?

[ ]@Pretty When I Cry: It was. It's one of those things where you think that nothing will happen to you because the odds of being in a car accident at any given time aren't terribly high. But it's also one of the leading causes of death, which is mind-blowing.
@TacoGod5: I know, right? I'm still not an extremely confident driver, even though I've had my license for a while. People just drive like assholes no matter where you are and roads can be confusing at times.

About 70% of the people where I live are age 65+ millionares...so they drive a) all over the road b) slowly (yet menacingly) c) without care because they're gonna die soon and they have the money to buy a new car

Only witnessed one old guy here who drove crazy. He made an illegal U-turn over a double yellow. I saw it in my rear-view mirror. His old lady was even in the car with him.
