((eer...I was reading this really cute Manhwa called Safe Again Today, and so er...I'm kind of doing something like this...is it alright for me to make a thread if the rules thing hasn't been posted in the section? Oh well...)) PlotAmongst the normality of human life, there dwells a different species; aliens. Most do not differ from the average human, some need to change their form to accommodate the lifestyle. They cannot return from where they left - due to time differences - until the technology reaches that point, so they live alongside humans...but wait, how exactly do they transcend without notice? Hey, aren't there people obsessed with these kinds of things? Oi, what's the government got to say about this?

First, race list for convenient usage. If you make an original alien, I'll add one.

Angels
Race: Mimior
Planet(s): Thina, Boreom (Thinians can have multiple wings with multiple colors and sizes, where Boreoms have one large pair, colors vary.)
Neko/cat
Race: Laga
Planet(s): Irelis
Human with different colors and/or number of fingers
Race: Xelgim
Planet(s): Yomik, Ribia, Nilear (all in same solar system. Xelgim are the most advanced of all the races.)
Human with blue skin, black lips, white eyes, and minimal psychic abilities.
Race: Aruzan
Planet(s): Areeza, Arzeena
Vampire/demon
Race: Yim (they do not suffer lust for blood, they just get hungry.)

Details
The Aliens: For reasons ranging from escape to exploration, these people left their own planet to Earth. Most have translators, and the ones that don't learn the language like any foreigner would. Some aliens can't breath oxygen too well, but there's plenty of other gases so they're fine...but all that pollution may cause a nasty cough until they adjust.
The Hosts: Hey, what are you doing in my house? These people have either found an alien or an alien found them. Their job is to teach the basics of human lifestyle to the aliens so they don't stick out or attract too much attention, and supply food and shelter. Be careful, some food and drinks may be poisonous to your guest!
The Hunters: Not as menacing as they sound, these people are alien fanatics, or are at least very suspicious. Their role is to attempt to uncover the poor alien, raising their ego and on occasion drawing government attention. But if they're nice people they may be friends with the alien and protect their secret.
The Government: Dangerous! There's no way of telling the people who want to experiment and the people who supply the Hosts with info apart, so be careful! The good guys give you a translator, some planet info, and a breathing chip to make it easier to digest the unfamiliar, dirty atmosphere. Then they'll check up on you and keep you from the bad guys, who's curiosity towards aliens may disastrous results...

RULES
*Follow both the gaia TOS and the guild rules.
*You are allowed two characters, but one must be human and the other alien. Because sometimes you don't feel like looking for a host.
*No mary-sueing. I'll probably catch it when you submit the profile, but still, no. You are not royalty, nor can you fight (save some hosts who have a history of training, and every government person). Noooo.
*Dear Aliens; No drama pleeeaaaase. This is a light-hearted RP, so try to tone it down until later, when they start getting homesick or something. This also means no escaped subjects from the government. Do not want.
*Dear hunters; you do not KNOW an alien. You SUSPECT(usually with freakish accuracy). Keep that in mind. Oh, and don't just reveal them in public, it's rude and plot-shattering.
*PM me your profile with the title 'my star is here' if you're an alien and 'is that your star?' if you're a human.

Personality: Curious and a bit uncomfortable around people. Unfortunately, he has the emotional range of a plank, making him nearly impossible to work with.
Bio: He was pretty weird to all the people on Mimior too. The main difference is they thought he was possessed/hiding something, and they stuffed him into an old crashed Xelgim spaceship, where he accidentally launched himself into space. When he landed on earth he stood on the twins' coffee table and after a bit of working out told them via pictographs he was an alien. He speaks in broken english now, but can understand full sentences.
Behavior problems: Has extremely odd reactions to eating things and becomes nervous when confronted. He also does a lot of weird things they're trying to train him out of. His feathers react strongly to his excitement, and he isn't used to earth music so his wings go berserk when listening.
Key Disguise: A backpack with a big hole cut in it to put his wings in.

Bio: These inseparable twins live together alone. Their parents moved in from Japan, but they were born after that. When Lito arrived, they did their best to teach him English and behavior lessons, but they aren't exactly the best teachers. They view Lito as an adoptive son.---

Personality: Adam is a nice guy. He tries to act tough to hide his soft side, but if it came down to it he couldn't harm a fly, unless he was mad of course. He is a very helpful person and rarely says no when someone asks something of him.
Bio:Adam has just recently moved into his own place after rooming with a friend on his first year away from home. He has a job at a music shop selling CDs and instruments. On top of having a job, him and a couple of his friends have a small band that does instrumentals. He never had a strong belief about aliens or extra terrestrials.

Personality: Minishae was always carefree and wild, but looked after her brother, becoming a little more responsible. She doesn't talk very much, and prefers to show people her feelings rather than tell them. Guipta is extremely shy around people. Even if he's known someone for a long time he is timid. The only person who he doesn't seem afraid of is his sister.
Bio:Mini would often go exploring, and get lost, and would drag Gwee along. Their parents wanted them to learn something about discipline, so they sent them off to their sister planet, Arzeena, but they got caught in a meteor shower and knocked off course, and now they landed on earth.
Behavior Problems: Minishae always seems to say the wrong thing, forgetting that humans don't have psychic abilities, and she likes to touch people rather than talk to them, because she learns that way. Guipta is upset easily because of his personality. People on their planet are usually nicer, because they can tap into each other's feelings rather than having to share them.
Key Disguise: Makeup and contacts, plus long clothes and pants to cover up their blue skin. Gloves, and sometimes scarves.

Personality:Yumi has a "maybe, maybe not" attitude. She doesn't directly say that something doesn't exist, but that doesn't mean she thinks that it does. She's somewhere around the middle. She likes to act mysterious and is very mischievous. She can act childish sometimes, and will only listen when she wants to. She also has a interest in astrology.
Bio:Yumi had a brother who believed very strongly in the existence of aliens. She looked up to him and studied astrology to try to get closer to him, but he never paid much attention to her. His mind always seemed far away, and he would talk about the blue people he could "hear" sometimes. It got to be such a problem that her parents talked about sending him to an mental hospital. He over heard them and ran away, never to be heard from again. That was 6 years ago. Now her parents and her have moved to a new town to start anew.Story

"Alright, Lito! What do you say?" Lito cocked his head, and licked his lips. Sarah stared fixated at him. Finally, he took a deep breath and spoke. "Iee ahm Ahnjaleetoh, buet I ahm called Leetoh. I ahm from ay foraynn countray." Sarah and Alan looked at eachother, grinned, and smacked both their hands together, cheering.
"He did it!"
"He said it!"
"Woyrk?" Lito said loudly. Sarah sat down and patted the small book she was holding.
"This book has a translation to most of the words you'll see, so hopefully you won't have any trouble. You need to catch up on earth history and stuff, so the school you're going to will be a middle school, kay?" Lito nodded. Sarah took his hand and turned to Alan. "Well, ciao! I'll be dropping him off then!"

The coffee pot made a hissing sound that echoed through the kitchen. Adam walked into the kitchen and poured himself a cup, taking a large sip of it. Black and plain. He lied it that way. After finishing he carlessly tossed the cup into the sink without shattering or cracking it, then slipped on the black sleevless he'd placed on the table, picked out specially to match his gray carpenter jeans. He was getting ready to head out for work.

Miz jolted awake when her cell phone buzzed in her pocket. She lifted herself up blearily, and creaked open her eyes. Aw man, I fell asleep at my telescope again? she thought aimlessly, pushing it away and fishing for her phone. "Oh no! I gotta get to work," she jumped up when she saw the alarm clock she had set. Scattering all the papers and star maps from her lap to the floor, she ran back into her little one bedroom apartment, throwing on one of her nicer looking outfits, grabbed her bag and ran out the door. She gave one little glance at her neighbor's house, then shook her head and dashed off towards the nearest bus station.

"S-skeool?" Lito asked, pointing at the school. Sarah nodded. He looked delighted, but noticing all the people, he grew nervous. She patted his head. He looked apprehensive, trying to decide between clutching Sarah's skirt until she brought him home or entering the school. Seeing this decision in his face, she gave him a quick hug.
"Don't worry, if anything goes wrong, just ask the teacher if you can call me, and you can hear my voice again!" Lito slowly uncurled his fingers and backed up. She gestured him to go farther. He took a deep breath, whirled around, and ran for the school. Two or three feathers fell from the backpack, which she quickly retrieved. Sighing with relief, she headed home, clutching the cream-colored feathers, thinking of how hard it was to take care of an alien.

Adam left his house and pulled his bicycle from the side. It was a chrome metal, but it shone like it were platinum. He hopped on the bike and turned down the street, heading toward the record store. He'd noticed his neighbor rushing out of her house, he thought she was an odd girl. Pushing his unimportant thoughts aside he soon reached the store, unlocking the door and walking in lazily. He was on time. He walked behind the counter and opened the register. "Favorite part of the day..." He sadi sarcastically as he pulled a safe out from under the counter, entered the code, and placed the money back in the register. His boss had the strangest way of sorting out the income. Once he was finished he turned on the small radio on the ocunter to the local rock station. 'Free Bird' by Lynryd Skynyrd echoed through the empty store.

Looking at her phone, Miz almost screamed. Crap crap crap crap, my one time to actually be with other people, and I'm horribly late! Unable to catch her bus, she runs down the stairs and heads for the subway. Dashing up the stairs, she finally made it to the school. Hands on her knees, and panting hard, she jogs up, trying to straighten her untidy hair. Reaching the office, she introduced herself to the secretary. "Um, hello? I'm Miz Clarence, here for the career day in class B-4. I'm the technical branch volunteer?" Nodding, the secretary smiled sweetly and led her to the room.

Adam sighed. After an hour of nothing he'd now ahve to go to the school for a career day. He was representative for the music department. After he'd tlaked to his boss, he agreed to let him go. Adam got on his bike and quickly rode to the school. Once he got there he walked into the office and walked over to the lady behidn the counter. "I'm...here for career day." He said awkwardly. "Adam." The woman nodded and led him to the room. he'd noticed that it was a different lady than the one who'd spoken to him last week about it. Once he entered the room he looked around. None of the students had gotten there yet.

Miz jumped when she heard the door open. Is that the kids? Looking up from the computer she was setting up from her presentation, she nearly had a nosebleed. Wha-What? Why is he here? Oh no! I won't be able to think, crap, I'm gonna look like a total loser in front of a bunch of middle schoolers! Uh, what do I say? What do I do? Of course, Miz being a total genius, this all went through her head in a matter of milliseconds. Standing up, she walked over to say hi. But her pant leg had gotten caught on a drawer at the desk, and she fell on her face, ripping her pants. Crap, this sucks, she though despairingly.
