The last full conversation that she had taken part in had caused her mind to whirl, contemplating things that she would not have thought of otherwise. Love? Affection? Silly things like gathering flowers? Bah! Who did that anyways? What lioness in her right mind would appreciate tokens of softness over signs of strength?

Not her, that was certain. If a male came up to her to drop flowers at her paws she wouldn't know what to think, let alone how she would react... And yet he had said that his mate appreciated such things; that she smiled because of them.

Strange was the world that she was finding herself roaming further and further into in search of an old friend... So very different from the lands that she called home.

Dath was stalking over the lands per his normal routine. He aws always interested in mortals. As soon as he was getting bored with them, one would always do something to entertain him. There were many different ways of entertainment, but none the less it would always give him a little more faith to not completely write them out. And besides, if he did get a little to bored with them, he could always kill them. There wasn't anything wrong with that.

His ears perked up as he heard something. Another bird, he assumed, but he still looked up. Ruffling his wings, his gold eyes caught sight of a lioness. One that didn't look like some delicate twig either. Interesting. His mind flashed Shisi for a moment, forcing him to physically shake his head. Blasted woman became more of what he thought about, instead of Laana. Women! They always were talented on casting a spell within him. He'd pin the blame on them, not himself.

Curiosity was something he never denied, and with that he slowly padded his way towards the lioness, his god-like features showing in all their glory.

She froze upon hearing movement, ears turning towards the sound as her claws extended, digging into the ground as her body tensed in preparation for whatever may have invaded her train of disruptive thoughts. When he came into view she tensed a bit further, even going so far as to take a half-step back in preparation to pounce or dash, whichever the need be.

Oddly, the first words to come out of her mouth were neither of greeting nor of defense. They were, all things considered, quite random and not at all sensible. "... You aren't going to turn into a spider, are you?"

Dath paused where he was, staring at her for a long moment. What? The questions was so rediculous, so something that he wasn't expecting that he burst out into laughter. It wasn't quite a kind laughter, but it wasn't evil. Just a bit devious.

"And what would you do if I did? Squash me under that paw of yours?" The idea was simply amazing, even if it was a bit revolting. He never was one for the small things, and a spider was not something on his list of interesting creatures.

"Quite an odd question to ask after seeing a god, wouldn't you think?" He took a few steps closer before pausing, shaking out his black mane and resting his equally raven-black wings.

The look that crossed her face for a brief moment said only that she had asked the question in earnest and had not expected laughter as a response... But that look faded quickly, replaced with a smirk that brought a gleam to her golden eyes.

"Having seen a god who did just that, I consider it a rather normal question to ask. Wouldn't want to see the same trick twice, would we?" Her brow lofted slightly as she lifted her gaze to take an appraisal of the god standing before her. He was... Much different than the last she'd crossed paths with. "You don't seem like the sort who'd enjoy that type of thing anyways."

Heh. She had a quick wit. His interest in her took a new turn. He normally approached any mortal he saw, but half the time he would just startle them with his flashy wings before disappearing, thoroughly confusing them. He only stuck around and talked with the ones that could entertain him, and she was certainly doing a fine job of that.

"I'm not into flashy tricks. I'd rather be a bit more upfront with things than go hide in the form of an insect." He flicked his tail behind him, arching his head a bit so he could examine her while looking down the bridge of his nose. His jewelry caught a bit of the sunlight, mimicing the colour of his eyes.

"And as upfront as I may be, I'll admit that you seem interesting for a mortal." A smug grin grew on his face, knowing that she should take it as a compliment that he took a second look at her. It wasn't every day that he'd take interesting in someone, let alone any other god out there.

"Not into flashy tricks... But into other things that flash." She murmured, just barely resisting the urge to nose at one of his gleaming accessories. That bit of awe was shaken off as well as she directed her gaze higher, unafraid to meet his eyes with her own.

"Interesting, am I? You aren't the sort of god who says that to all of the girls, are you?" Again, with that smirk as her eyes drifted to his grin. "Something about that look seems to say that you could answer either way..."

"Hmph." He raised his head high, giving his mane a little shake. "I'm not above things that prove just who I am." He always had to be in the spotlight. It didn't matter if the attention was good or bad, he always relished in it. Any little bit that he could get, he'd take. Except if any of it was from his twin, Seitaru'kai. She was just in her own league. Yuck.

"I have a hunch you won't believe me," he said with a small snarl, flicking his tail behind him with impatience. "I merely state that when I meet a girl who has guts. Hell, whenever I meet any mortal with the nerve to stand up to me."

"I might. What reason would you have to lie to a lioness that you might never see again?" Her brow lofted slightly, head cocking to the side for a moment before she bowed it in an almost polite acknowledgment of him and his words, golden eyes drifting back up.

"That's three times now you've complimented me... Thank you." A slight smirk returned to her muzzle. "I have always believed that actions speak louder than words or adornments. You hold yourself in a way that proves who you are. You are a god... A proud one with a strong body." Not at all like the last god that she had met; an old, round god whose strength had only seemed to be in the loudness of his voice and the rumble of his stomach.

"Hey now, just because this is my first time seeing you doesn't mean I won't see you again." After the dealings with Shisi, he certainly looked forward to any and all future meetings with that lioness. Laana on the other hand...she was aging, and that constant reminder when he was around her bothered him more than he could ever describe. So he would simply (at times) act like she didn't exist. It fixed the problem for the moment, didn't it?

Dath was feeling quite proud of himself. Give a little attention, recieve a lot. And he was certainly feeling like he was getting this today. He couldn't help but offer a grin in return to her compliment. "Well, it seems you're quite familiar of gods, wth the way that you speak." He paused for a moment, settling himself down on his hind legs in a relaxing sitting position. He brought up his left paw to examine, flexing his claws in and out in a feeble attempt to impress.

"I was raised to believe that Fortune guides us in one way or another. If She crosses my path with yours again, so be it." Her golden eyes gleamed once more, smirk returning in full, tail flickered back and forth behind her. "I certainly wouldn't mind. It is not every day that one finds themselves in such company..."

Her eyes drifted back down to his paw as he brought it up, almost admiring how large it was as she pondered just what sort of damage it could do to whatever it struck out at. "Familiar with gods?" She shook her head slowly, eyes lifting to his face once more. "Familiar with warriors?" Her brow lofted and she nodded once. "The gold you wear may draw eyes to you... But if those eyes are connected to someone with any sense that shine wouldn't be what kept their attention, certainly not when they could be admiring your other assets."

Dath's curiosity took a new turn. Fortune? With the way the lioness was wording it, she must mean a goddess. Fortune? Peh. Why did morals always believe in such things like that? Dath always assumed that things would just happen, and there wasn't ever anyone to thank. Most likely because he had little to no respect of other gods, and so he'd never thank another god for something. Especially if he didn't think they had a single thing to do with him.

"Fortune?" He tossed all these ideas around in his head, but as soon as she was pressing another compliment at him, he gladly tossed that thought aside. "Warrior, eh? You certainly know how to call them, don't you?" He swished his tail behind him on the ground, ruffling his wings up a bit to let them rest more comfortable on his back. Yesss, quite pleasing. "A name?"

"Mm... I know those that I have grown up amongst. Beyond that? It is a matter of comparing what one knows to what stands before them." She nodded, looking over him once more with an obvious appreciation for his form. "What I know is the build of one used to using their body, built for strength and defense as well as offense with large paws and sharp claws..."

She shifted on her paws, her own tail giving a light flicker as she took a step towards him so that she could get a better look at his wings. They were nothing at all like the fragile, feathered things attached to the birds she'd caught before. "Mwindaji... Yours?"

Hm. He worked out through her speech, interested in the compliments that he had given her, but not much else. She seemed quite knowledgeable in this 'warrior' catergory she was pushing him into. It didn't quite make him nervous, but it was definately much different than what he was used to. She was a tough lioness, one that wouldn't take any crap. Or so he assumed. He'd have to play at this a little differently, just to see if he could really get anywhere.

"Dath'charukai." He stated his name calmly, keeping her name within his mind so he wouldn't forget it. It would come in handy if he ever wanted to search her out again. More unique than some names he had come across. "In our realm, I'm considered Chaos." A smirk appeared on his face, always proud of his domain.

Chaos. He said that so smoothly; so naturally. Of course it would be natural to him to introduce himself as such. It was, after all, who he was. Why wouldn't it be natural?

Natural or not it made her a bit wary. Chaos could be dangerous thing, as she had seen first hand when her pride had been attacked. She would have to be cautious with this male, keeping her guard up at least inwardly as she continued to chat easily on the outside.

"So..." She took another step closer to him, brow quirking as she glanced up. "... What do gods such as yourself generally do when they've crossed paths with a mortal like me?"
