Little Phoenix Shelley was yet another random lion cub left out on his own. How he managed to get himself lost or abandoned or orphaned was anyone's guess. It didn't matter really, the fact of the matter was that the infant cub was currently out on his own.
He had big, soulful eyes that looked around carefully at everything around him and seemed to internalize it all. Every step he took was carefully placed, and everything he looked at stared at long enough to be remembered. It was, to the little thing, a brand new world full of undiscovered possibilities and he didn't look like he wanted to miss any of it.

He didn't need to learn to control his powers, he already had control of them. Tasuhel walked straight with his head held high, tail raised and a mind full of confidence. Today was a new day, and if he could, he would go see his half-siblings. He enjoyed their company, espicially Kesi's. Poor thing could hardly see straight nowadays.
As he contined to walk, he picked up an unfamiliar scent. Curious, he trotted onward, wondering who he might soon meet.

Shelley froze and sniffed the air, then looked around in bewilderment before dashing under a bush to hide himself. But when the new scent appeared and proved to just be another cub (!!), Shelley slowly poked his had from under the bushes, then a paw, and then half of his body was out. He considered the other cub carefully before a smile slowly lit in his eyes, "Ooo?"
His version of hello.

Stopping, he tilted his head before smiling a gentle smile, lowering his body. This one was younger than him, so he had an inkling he wouldn't know the ways of the world quite yet.
"Hello, our name is Tasuhel Sasuno...What is yours?" he asked in a silky tone. He knew his sister would calm down when he spoke like that, and hoped it would help the younger one as well.

Phoenix Shelley's eyes lit up in pure delight at the other cub's words, and he now took a few more steps out from under the bushes so he was all out. His face scrunched up at Tasuhel's words like they confused him, but he finally managed a reply back. He spoke slowly and uncertainly, trying to enunciate his words correctly but still managing to botch them fairly badly.
"Mmm, name's P-nix Shelley." A pause, and a clearly thoughtful expression. What was next? Ooh, yes!! "Nice t'meet."
He looked at Tasuhel uncertainly. Had that been right?

His smile softened further as the cublet spoke. He was young, alright. But that's what worried him. With what was out there, this young one could get hurt, or even worse. Sitting up straight, Tasu nodded at Shelley's words. "It is nice to meet you too, Shelley. Tell us, are you alone? Do you have guardians near?" he asked, trying not to seem too worried.

Phoenix Shelley looked pleased to no end to have gotten the nod of approval, he now sat down straight, mimicking Tasu's posture as he considered the next puzzle of words.
Shelley took a confused look around. He thought "us" meant more than one person? Ooh, he must have been wrong. And the rest of that?
"Gardens?" He asked, looking fully lost at what that word could mean, "Not alone, you here....Mmm..." That wasn't right. How should it be put? Maybe he should try out this new grammar, "Us's not alone. Not now," the confusion lifted back to a pleased smile as he looked at Tasu, forgetting to use words to express out loud what he clearly said in his face. Tasu was there, so two meant neither of them were alone!
