My topic is twofold: First I love cases, Not only because they keep your guitar clean and safe. But may also be that it's like opening a present everytime. XD Second, do you use a hardshell, soft case or no case?

Hard case. It litterally WAS openening a present the first time I opened it... It was my birthday, and I had been waiting for my first electric guitar, and what do I get on my birthday? a pretty little tweed case with my Telecaster inside xD. Yeah. I really wish it wasn't tweed though - it looks wonderful but I cant put stickers n' s**t on it.

Currently have no case at the moment, Though when I get this LP I'm saving for I'll buy one with it. Any suggestions for a good $50-$75 hardcase?

Arknon i use a hardshell coffin bass case ..its the only one that wi'll fit my warlock and plus it used to be used for my rogue lx400 bass .... I want to get on for my P-Bass too. Those are pretty tough cases. Yeah but I use both a gig bag, a tweed case, and another tweed case from the 50's, that smells like the old days.

For my accoustic...I'm not sure. I guess it's not soft, but it's not a hardshell to me. Do you guys know what I'm talking about? It looks kind of soft on the top like cardboard or something. I hardly ever use it. It came with the guitar. Well, also, I never actually bought my guitar. I acquired this guitar through my family. It's like a family heirloom.
I also have a softcase, gig bag thing for my electric, but those things are nice because you can stuff chords and books in them. It also never gets used because my dano is irreplacable and almost never leaves the apt.

I have a gig bag, pretty heavily padded. I think it retails for around $50. Expensive lil bugger, came free with my guitar.
That's a damn durable bag, I can trust it for short trips, but I wouldn't for anything where it could have something fall on it... I'd pick up a nice hardshell for that.... As well as for any guitar that cost more than $500.

I use a hard case, simply because that is what came with my guitar xp It was really ugly when i got it, so I made it pretty! I put rhinestones on the outside, and i lined the inside with lime green faux fur instead of the stupid blue felt that was there before. It looks awesome!
