Just beyond the perimeter of the Realm HQ was a shallow forest. And passed that was a wide meadow in which a clear creek traveled through. A harsh chiming could be heard in the open field though, as Celes scratched harshly against her black collar. As a child it had been loose and entertaining to nom at. But now that she had grown into it, her neck fur was often itchy and in need of a good scratch. Unleashing it wasn't an option, not with her furry paws and numerous spikes prodding out around the item.
Finished with her task as best as possible, the femme then continued on her way to the creek. The rest of the family was busy; not unusual for their active family. But when Tea and Youou began their games of rough housing, Celes often took that time to exit to other grounds. Like this one here, with the body of water now crossing before her. Celes blinked down at the liquid, smiling softly to its purity and tranquility. Hoping to find influence of it, she curled beside the creek with intentions of a short nap. Tails tucked close to her nose and within moments the sound of bubbling water was lulling her to sleep.

AS per usual, the reclusive Zazel was out on her own. Having more or less drifted away from her family, the femme normally wandered about on her own, pondering the words of the people she'd met and working at learning to control her less then stable ability. It hadn't worked so far but her outlook had begun to change, due in part to her encounter of one Celes.
Crossing a trail to enter the brush on the other side, she lifted her nose and sniffed the air habitually - Zazel normally avoided people. Even if she found she could handle a few people at once, she never really tried to seek out company. A familiar scent was in the wind and she paused, turning to face the direction the wind was coming from.
"Celes...." Frowning, the promise of sparring and future encounters swirled in the back of her mind as she followed the other's trail to find the other curled up on the bank a creek apparently asleep.
Hidden behind a curtain of foliage, the demon smiled with mischief. How curious... rustling the bushes, she tried to make it out like something big was approaching. Perhaps one of those nasty Nitemares? Yes. Like a Nitemare. Hissing and imitating the sounds of one, she wondered how Celes would react - she had bragged about her abilities before.

Pale eyes were sealed shut as the slight kitsu napped, her tails flicking every now and then in ease. And occasionally her muzzle would open in a whispering snore, covered easily by the gurgling creek. All was content and calm...or was...
Brows twitched lightly, the kitsu disturbed by a new sound. Was that a bee? Giving effort to ignore the sound, Celes lulled onto her side in a half circle with her hoodie shifted atop most her face. But the noise continued. Sighing and pinning her long ears, the vamp rolled upright, rubbing tired eyes with a front paw. A glance to and fro showed her the location of the sounds. A...a bush? Her face became a glow of curiousity and caution. "Ne, that's not funny Youou." White tails swept behind her as she waited for a familiar voice to respond. But none came. "Tea? Suwa?.."
Growls and spits could be heard from the plant, and tucking tails, the femme slowly backed away. What was that?! Not wanting to chance anything....with the thought it may even be Nemesis, Celes maed a quick choice. She bolted...the other way.

As Celes drew nearer, the grin on Zazel's face grew - that's it... just a little bit closer... come on...
And then she bolted.
Zazel blinked for a moment and then frowned hugely. That wasn't fighting!! Crashing through the bushes, a twig smacked her in the face and she sneezed though she didn't even bother to grumble as she morphed mid-jump. "HEY!!" Voice echoing a little, Zazel called after her one friend and ran after her, "Hey! You bug 'fraidy cat!! Stop!"
Tearing through mud and dirt and debris, she finally drew close enough to attempt to tackle the other. Using her increased strength, she sprung at Celes with the intent to wrap paws about her middle and bear her to the ground. "I said STOP!"

With a run much like a wild bunny, it was obvious Celes wasn't the toughest of the tough. Her pace was graced and measured, yes, but nowhere near speedy enough to be useful. And it didn't help to have a long coat hanging off her frame, constantly threatening to trip her.
The rustling had stopped...she realized, but there was the heavy thuds of pursuing footfalls. And they were fast too! Ears were slick back fearfully as she heard a voice nearly right behind her, and her panicy mind was in no shape to remember it at the moment. "No!" It was a stubborn cry against the other's demands. Though she doubted the other would listen. Then it hit her. A heavy weight crashing right atop of her own, and sharp needles that she assumed were claws prickled through her coat
Celes yipped loudly, kicking and squirming as she fell to the ground. "Let GO!" Just who was this? And what had she done to be tackled?

Zazel nipped at the other's ear and growled, wincing as the other struggled and kicked at her unprotected stomach, "Not unless you stop running." Though her tone was less then impressed, there was a bright smile on her face as she pinned Celes to the ground, "... And stop kicking me! Argh!" She had only her self to blame for it though and knew it - didn't mean she kept her dislike out of her tone however.
A few moments later, she back away, brow arched. "Calm now? Yo." Cool and collected (and quite possibly quite pleased with herself), Zazel waved one dark paw in greeting.

That did the trick. Celes froze instantly as her ear became a target, the girl not wanting the tender limb to become a meal. Finding herself totally trapped without much other options of surprise, she gulped. Now what? Brow twitched though as the other kept tossing demands. "I can't run now..." Carefully, she tilted her head to send a sheepish glare at this attacker of hers.
And blinked.
"Z..Zazel?..." That couldn't be her, could it? But the scent was familiar, and the estranged voice matched with the green pelt were stirring her memory. Celes winced as the other lifted away, and only now when she got to see the other's attire did she know for certain. Tails wagged quickly in surprise and she gasped in stunted disbelief. "It is you Zazel!" Celes skipped to her paws and batted the air like a kitten. "Why did you go and do that? Are...are you in control alright?" Gold eyes looked carefully to the other kitsu, pondering this situation.

"You said you could fight. I wanted to see," blunt and to the point, she was, "wha-" She blinked and tilted her head to the side, glancing down at herself with a frown and then sort of stuck her chin out defiantly, "What do you mean in control alright!? I'm perfectly myself." With her continued frown, Zazel watched the other, "You have a problem with how I look now?"
Wouldn't that just be great... somebody she could actually stand deciding to turn tail and forsake her like the rest of them. Grumbling, she looked away.

Celes brought a paw to her lips, tilting her head to this new information. "Did I say that? I can't remember." And she smiled shyly but knowingly, much like her blonde parent would do when caught in trouble. "Honestly though, how am I to fight if you didn't even announce the fight. It was really frightening..."
Ears fell to hide behind black locks, Celes dipping her own chin in shame to the yelling she received. "Well...the last time you were really upset...And I had already seen my brother when he changes without control." Abashed, the girl looked back at Zazel with surprise in her eyes. Had she offended her in being concerned for her? "N..no, I don't have a problem with it. I just remember you don't prefer.." Your other self.
Celes sighed before shuffling nearer to where Zazel sat, stubborn and frowning deeply. Not knowing what to do with herself, the pale kitsu sat hunched. "Do you need to sneeze again? Maybe another hug?..." Would it make her less grumpy?

"Yeah... you did." Zazel calmed, bringing her voice to a normal level as the other acted shamed and frowned, annoyed with herself for upsetting Celes. Nodding slowly, she paced from side to side, "Being like this? No. I don't..." but I don't mind it as much as I did...
Stopping before the hunched female, Zazel peered at her, confused, "How would a hug help...?" She wasn't saying no but neither was she saying yes - too busy trying to figure out how such a thing would help her now. "And yes, I need to sneeze again.

Celes allowed a nervous giggle, rubbing a paw softly through her hair in an act of embarrassment. Patiently, she watched as the other femme paced about, likely thinking over this situation as well. And she provided an answer to Celes' previous doubts, even if it was somewhat left incomplete in explaining.
The sudden hault and stare down made Celes meep, and she adjusted her form to sit up straighter. Then she smiled. "Don't you remember? Here I thought the hug had helped, if even alittle." She diverted her eyes to the grass they stood on, looking for a stray dandelion. "Well then, let's find something that tickles your nose." Giving white tails a fluff, the kitsu set her attentions on such a task.

Zazel shook her head, a small smile playing across her features, "I remember. But it didn't help with this... hugs don't help me change." A soft laugh escaped her as she joined Celes in the search. Something soft and ticklish would be perfect... like a dandelion in seed.
Glancing up as they searched, Zazel tried to catch Celes' eye, "What are you doing out here? Running from your twin again?"

Celes was sweeping side to side through the open fields, pawing across the grass to look for any flower of use to this sneezing need. "Hm? Well it sure helps with your mood, if anything." It was said as a polite fact, even if it would stir some more grumpy reactions. Oh well. That's just how her family operated, well for the most part. Just say what needs to be said.
"Aha!" A paw lifted and Celes smiled, only to have it fall just as fast. The dandelion she had plucked floated apart right before her. Well, that was no good now. The kitsu tossed the stem with a huff, blinking when Zazel spoke. Those green eyes were still something to adjust to. Mention of her brother, however, left that detail to wind. "Ah, Youou. He's apparently too busy with his prey.." Boys could be so dumb sometimes.

"My mood?" She scoffed, "You're making things up." Zazel wondered though, if the other was right. She'd... been more confused then happy when Celes had suddenly hugged her. The demon laughed, though and swept the area looking for something to make her sneeze.
Glancing up when the other shouted in triumph, Zazel blinked then chuckled, "Don't pick them - they'll just fall apart and be useless until the seeds sprout again." The femme frowned at the mention of Youou's activities and padded over to confidently nudge Celes in what she hoped was a supportive manner - Zazel wasn't particularly good at that sort of thing, "Turn the tables. Make him prey. I'm not too busy to help you." She let a devilish grin curl the edges of her mouth up and the slight glow to her green eyes intensified, making her expression fearsome indeed.

The shorter of the girls tilted her head, before shrugging lightly. She was known to make things up, if not exaggerated, and so maybe she had imagined the whole mood scenario. "Fine fine, I'll just point the next time I find one." At least the other was cheering up now. Scanning about, Celes lowered ears to listen to Zazel. The nudge was unexpected, and Celes teetered with a squeak before looking up at Zazel.
"Make him prey?" The idea was foreign to her, and for good reason. Celes gave a small giggle, waving lightly at Zazel's devious delight. "No no, not that kind of prey. It's...hard to explain." She was never formally told the whole story, but she understood the works and kinks of it by now. "Youou and I are, well, vampiric. Just like Fai mommy." And apparently her twin had found someone to activate his hunger needs. And now they spent time together as 'best friends'. Something Celes found hard to step aside for.
