Recks had found himself a rather secluded corner of the lounge - dark, but not too dark, and not too many people around. The wild-haired blonde had grinned when he first found the open booth-llike seat, complete with a table, and everything. He had come in guitar in hand, and he had been relatively self-consious about it. Never the less, he had found his seat, and plopped his music sheets on the table, and leaned his guitar beside him, as he sat, and worked on them, writing the music that ran through his head.
Recks always found more inspiration when working in public places.

So you think that your the only one that ever lived a life,..without chaaANGes,
You bahlieve that your can break you,..given chaAINs.
So you believe everyone looks down on you and you bahlieve that that's,..all your fa-ault.
For mindless chatter, tell me, tell me -- Please expla-a-ain;
Where's the little boy, and where's the strange-less blu-ue? Who stands by that light and whoo showed that light to you-ou?
Why did all our sta-ars, shatter and conclu-ued? How was I to know I can't had that conection with you-ou?
Let us teeeeeaaach, the wa-a-ay, we ooooooowe it all to every one - a lessooon. And like children it will grow, and I'm a stranger --
now once knoooooown.

He wrote the words down as they came to him -- he'd worry about making since later.

Sometime between start and his current pause in work, he had pulled his hair back, making a curly puffy ponytail. All that hair pulled back revealed his soft jawline, and baby-like cheeks -- no matter what he did, he always looked like an innocent kid in the face.
He leaned back and streatched, letting out a yawn, and almost knocking over his guitar, which , thanks to quick reflexes, he caught, and let out a little 'phew!' befre deciding it was best to get back to work.

Khahlela was at the bar currently, with her own pen and paper. As a singer from a different country, she had a disadvantage to her. She swung her bar feet from the stool and let the pads of her toes thump against the wood, humming to another's singing. She found the tune of the song quite catchy.

Ever drabbed in bright colors, she turned and blinked her brown eyes at a shock of messy blond hair, but a beautiful boy underneath it. Another singer! Taking her drink, pen and paper with her, she moved near him and sat down.

She wouldn't say anything, but listen and watch him, removing her denim jacket, revealing her pink top with thick sleeves that didn't touch her arms.

Ever look into the sky..? See that falling star and wish upon it for your looove?
Ever look into the sea and imagine what they're dooooing?
Baby, come back to me. Come hold me in your arms and rock me back to sleeeep!
Baby come back to me; we'll watch these falling stars toooogether.. Baby come back to me....

Her own song didn't compare to his, she didn't think, but that was alright. She turned to watch him again. His hair was amazing to her; she'd only seen such blonds rarely. Khahlela rarely got out, and her manager was black like her. So.. People with fair skin and hair made her envious. They didn't stand out like she did.

Her singing voice wasn't accented as much as one might think. But when she finally spoke to him, it was heavily accented; obviously from Africa. "Hello. I haven't.... seen you here before."

Truth was, she'd only been here once and that was with another girl. She never did get to actually see what that girl was like. She was whisked away with a family problem, back home. Now that it was resolved, she was back and determined to become a star.

Recks looked up when the woman came over, blinking confusedly for a moment, before a grin bore out onto his face, and his blue eyes sparkled with kindess.
"Hi!" He said, straightening up a little from his flormer slouchy position. His voice wasn't nearly as accented and twangy when he talked, as opposed to when he sang. "My name's Recks Aldwin. I just recently moved here an' all. What's your name?"

Recks had an aura of childishness to him, and a naivete of sorts - both a blessing and a curse. He wore his emotions on his sleeve, and was truely gentle-hearted -- the most he knew of sadness, hate, and resent came out in songs every now and again. He didn't bother wasting such emotions on people. Instead, he used them in a more productive manner. Besides that, it was almost impossible to believe that the boy had a mean bone in his body.

"Khahlela Umfula," She replied with a smile. She liked the way Recks was; childlike and seemingly innocent. It was sweet. "But Lela for short." She took her glass in her hand and knocked it back, leaving only the ice and a sort of burning taste in her throat. She winced and then sighed a little. "I was here for a while; but I recently went home family problems. Now I want to get kicking."

She spoke slowly, having to think about the English words she had to use. Her education was rushed, that was for sure as she was whisked to America. But, she wasn't complaining. She knew of hardships unlike most people, but that never came out in her songs; unless it was one of her rare moods that she just needed to cry.

Recks was glad that Lela had offered a nickname, as his tongue seemed to stumble as he tried to form her name.
"Haha, nice ta meet you, Lela!" his grin never seemed to fade. "Wow, family problems,..." Recks thought then about his own step parents, and how homesick he had been,.which in turn made him look down at his just-written lyrics, which then immediately brought him to a whole new brainstorm, in which he fixed a few words here and there.

Recks either didn't notice, or didn't say anything about how Lela spoke. He wasn't one to generally bring up those sort of things anyway. He tried to be considerate.

"How, how are things around here? Are they normally like this?" Recks asked, as he gestured to the vast room, and scant people. He had expected the place to be filled to the brim when he got here.
The prospect of meeting so many new people had both excited and scared him, but now he seemed a little,..dissapointed.

The girl nodded a bit and sighed. She too had been like him; expecting a ton of people only to meet one or two during her whole stay. "Yes... It's very... empty? Quiet, but good for writing if you like quiet." She sighed and looked to her empty drink, signaling the tender for another and then turned to her new friend? Maybe. "Do you want one?" She motioned to her glass.

Lela liked liquor, but it had to be mixed with something. It could never be straight; it burned her throat to bad. And she drank small glasses of it, too. Though she had been tipsy before, never drunk. "Recks.. I like your name; it's simple.."

She ran a hand through her permed hair and frowned as her headband came loose. She pulled it off and pushed it to the side, letting her hair down to afro out, a nice loose afro. Lela needed to go back to the hair and make up to have them do it again.

"Maybe there will be more people later."

"Hopefully,..and Nah," Recks declined. "I'm not big on liquor. Or energy drinks, haha. I'm a health-drink kind of guy,.though I probably collected enough bottles at home to look like a bad drunk!" Recks commented cheerfully, before she brought up his name.
"Thanks. My parents re-named me after they adopted me. Vergil just didn't seem to fit." He chuckled. "I gotta say, I agree. But your name,.I don't think I've ever heard of any one else with one like it!"

Yup, wide-eyed, hyper, kid. That was Recks. So long as he had at least one person to talk to, he was happy, and could talk you to death. It seemed almost impossible to be able to maintain such momentum. (Must have been the health drinks. lol. XD)

She thought this boy was so cute and adorable. She couldn't help but smile at him. She reached over and patted his head a little before her glass was refilled and she thanked the tender and sipped at it again. "I do like health drinks, but I have to say that this.... mixed drink is better tasting." She gave a firm nod and sighed.

"No one has my name because it is African. Like me." It was a simple statement, and there was no hard feelings behind it. Nor was there any emotion; just a statement. "I love America so far. So many colorful people."

Ana Cruz

Ana Cruz sat at the bar of the lounge, taking tiny sips of her martini, watching over a somewhat familiar face talking with a new boy whom she'd never met before. Well, what type of girl would she be if she didn't go up and introduce herself? Taking her martini with her, Ana slowly approached the two. "Hello there," Ana said with a warm smile. She checked out the new boy. He was rather cute and it had been a while since she had much interaction with a male in the agency. She gave him a small smirk and a wink, then hid her expression behind her martini glass as she took another sip. Lowering down the glass, she spoke again. "My name is Ana. Ana Cruz, I'm a model," she flipped her hair back behind her shoulder to show off her beautiful face. She then eyed the other woman, Khahlela, if she remembered her name right from the last time that she had met. "May I join you two?" she asked to Khahlela with a friendly smile, sitting down beside them before either one of them could respond.

Recks was about to reply to Lela, but then Ana came, and he shut his mouth mid word, blinking at the girl who had just introduced herself.
"Hiya! I'm Recks! Singer-musician. Had a little bit of acting back in high school,.." he introduced himself, oblivious to the flirting the model seemed to do.
He was not put off when she sat down, but instead shrugged, even though she was already seated. "Sure, why not?"
