"Come on, Lucy! You should at least try to talk to the other kids!" It was another attempt to encourage the little girl into making some new friends in the park. ANYBODY. Rein had hoped that with more friends, Lucy would be able to interact with others besides Sesshomaru.
However, so far, all of her encouraging was definitely not working. At all. The toddler seemed to refuse to get up closer to any of the other children and they seemed to want to stay clear away from her. Lucy hugged her stuffed dog even closer to her chest. Things like these don't bother her...
She preferred playing by herself than with other humans anyway...

It was a beautiful day, and Taelia thought it was a great day to take Riku to the park. He had turned from a pendant shaped like a star into a baby around a week ago. Taelia had kept him at home mostly, letting him get used to her and his new home.
They had been out a few places, mostly shopping for food or supplies. He had been quiet and well behaved for the most part.
Taelia carried Riku to the park, it was only a block away from their home. She walked around the park, showing him different things, like trees, flowers, and small animals.

Lucy had been busy throwing her stuffed toy up in the air, trying to see how far she could get it into the air. When it didn't go too high enough, the child grew impatient and had decided to use her vectors instead, since they were stronger.
As soon as the puppy plush fell onto the ground, two of her vectors and grabbed the front limbs of the plush and held it high into the air. Now flying objects were normal in Rein's house because just about everyone knew it was because of Lucy. However, this doesn't hold true for most people out of the house.
"Wait! Lucy don't!" Rein called out but it had been already too late.
When a little girl near by witnessed Lucy's toy floating in the air around her, the first thing that the child screamed was, "GHOST!" After that, more children nearby had finally witnessed the "floating" plush and also began to cry out and ran further away from Lucy.

Taelia had been showing Riku a squirrel that was poking around an oak tree, when cries of "GHOST!" scared it too high up in the tree for them to see.
Riku made a small and confused noise, looking up in the tree, searching for the squirrel, where had his furry friend gone?
Taelia frowned, ghosts? She had never heard of ghosts being in the park, especially not at daylight on such a nice day... She looked around, trying to figure out what was going on.

The yelling didn't seem to phase Lucy one bit. In fact, to the toddler, it seemed rather entertaining. She shrugged her shoulders as she plush had been tossed high into the air...Lucy closed her eyes and then held out her arms expecting it to fall into her arms.
Nothing.
When she opened them and looked into the sky, she watched as the plush began to soar into the air. "Uh oh..." Quickly, the child quickly ran after it.
"W-wait! Lucy!!" Rein cried out and the hurriedly chased after the quick toddler.
The same little girl who started the commotion now saw that the "possessed" toy was flying couldn't help but scream out in terror. "IT'S COMING TO EAT US!!!"

Hearing more screams, Taelia looked around more frantically for the source.
The source soon found her. As she was standing by the tree with Riku, an odd child with pink hair ran past. Taelia looked up and saw the plushie flying above the park. Next was a female that ran past chasing the young girl.
What was going on here? Had the ghost, whatever it was, stolen the toddler's toy?

"Lucy! Please, hold on!" The blond woman pleaded as she continued to chase after her. Though, she nearly tripped over the child when she made an abrupt stop. The plush had finally landed on top of the tree. A very tall one at that.
Lucy wasn't exactly pleased that her favorite toy had been launched up into the tree. Now she knew that it was her fault, but that was something she wouldn't admit. "Get it back!" She demanded and pointed towards the stuffed animal.
Now this is the point where Rein had wanted to cry. Climbing trees wasn't something she liked to do and a tall one at that. Did she ever mention her fear of heights? Or perhaps it was something that she just realized now. "Lucy, dear. Why not reconsider this?" Rein asked in a pleading notion. However, her ward looked like she was going to cry in a few minutes.
"D-don't please!" Rein cried out before any tears formed in Lucy's eyes. With a sigh, the woman wrapped her arms around as much of the tree as she possibly could. However, instead of climbing it, it looked more like she was hugging the tree instead.

Taelia blinked as the kid and the woman stopped by the tree, and the plushie landed in the very top branches. Apparently, whatever was holding it up suddenly stopped in a very inopportune place.
The little girl wanted her toy back, but the woman seemed apprehensive of the tree. Taelia watched as the woman hugged the tree. What was she going to do?
Taelia walked over to the pair, "Excuse me, do you two need help?"
Riku made a friendly noise and looked at the tree.
The squirrel in the tree was unhappy about these current events, and was scampering on the lower branches, not wanting to go towards the plush.

"Huh?" Rein finally lets go of her "embrace". Oh yes, help. She definitely needed it. But to trouble a stranger into helping her get a toy? That would be too inconsiderate. "I appreciate the offer, but I mustn't trouble you" Rein says and smiles at Taelia before turning on her heel and hugging the tree again.
Lucy on the other hand, wasn't impressed nor was she happy. "She can't climb..." The toddler bluntly stated. Though, she really liked Rein a lot, sometimes the woman proves to be...useless like times as these. Hopefully the human in front of her would be more helpful. She blinked slightly when she heard some weird noise. Tilting her head a little, she spotted an infant. "A baby...?"

Taelia shook her head, "It's okay, don't worry about it." She gave the woman a friendly smile. She laughed mentally as the woman hugged the tree again, it was almost as if she was pleading it to give the toy back.
She frowned when the toddler said the woman couldn't climb. No wonder she was just hugging the tree. "Ah, I see..." It had been years since she had climbed a tree, but Taelia had climbed a lot when she was younger.
When the girl mentioned the baby, Taelia nodded, "This is Riku, I adopted him recently. I thought he might like some fresh air in the park, it's such a nice day."
She looked back to the woman hugging the tree, "I used to climb trees all the time when I was younger... Are you sure you don't need help?"

At this point, Rein was nearly in tears by now. Upon hearing that Taelia didn't mind lending a helping hand, she finally lets go once more. "Thank you so much!" Rein exclaimed and added a deep grateful bow. "Lucy, shouldn't you thank the nice lady as well?"
Pulling her attention away from the baby, Lucy looked over towards Taelia and blinked several times. "But she didn't bring it down yet..." The pink haired girl replied. Obviously, she still needed lessons in manners.
"Lucy!" Rein scolded and then turned back towards Taelia again. "I'm sorry. Lucy just isn't very good with people...been that way since she first appeared..."

Taelia smiled, "You are welcome!" She was glad that the woman was going to accept her help.
She gave a small laugh, "Don't worry, she seems precocious!" She nodded, "Um, if you don't mind me asking, did you adopt her too?" The way she said appeared made it sound like what had happened with Riku...
Taelia looked up at the tree, "Oh, yes, my name is Taelia, this is Riku." She indicated the baby. "Could you please hold him while I climb the tree?" She didn't want the little guy to be all alone on the ground, he couldn't really even crawl yet.

"O-of course!" Rein says as she cradled the boy in her arms, like she used to when Lucy was still a baby. Oh the nightmares she still received. "And, yes. I did adopt Lucy. Although...if I told you the story about it, perhaps you wouldn't believe me!" The woman chuckled lightly.
"My name is Rein and this is Lucy!" She says and motioned over towards the little girl.
Lucy sighed with relief knowing that somebody was going to save her important stuffed animal. Even though, it's taking pretty long, in her opinion. Was it ever mentioned that Lucy wasn't the most patient children around? "Please, save him!"

Riku looked around, confused at first at being in someone else's arms. But, she seemed comfortable and safe, so he calmed down shortly, and stopped squirming.
Taelia nodded, "Thank you so much!" She listed to the woman speak about Lucy, "Ah, I see... I adopted Riku, but he's been no trouble at all."
She nodded to each one as they were introduced, "It's nice to meet you both!"
When Lucy implored Taelia to save her stuffed animal, "Don't worry, I'm on my way!" She walked to the tree and looked at it for a moment, then she reached out and grabbed the closest branch, slowly pulling herself up into the tree.

"Please be careful!" Rein called out as she watched the woman climb up. She couldn't help the fact but admire her. Climbing always seemed like something a kid would do. But even when she was a child, she never did climb trees. She tried several times but only ever managed to look like she was hugging them. Just like how she looked previously.
She smiled down at the infant in her arms. "Don't worry, sweetie~! I'll return you back to your mommy as soon as she gets down!" Riku was definitely cute. Though, it was hard for Rein to ever remember the times when Lucy ever acted adorable in front of her. She was rather trouble some, and still is. Except for the fact that she has been acting nicer. To Rein at least.
Though, Lucy didn't seem to enjoy the fact that not only was her plush stuck in a tree, but now her guardian's attention had also been taken away as well. Not that she was jealous. Oh no. Lucy wouldn't show that emotion. At least not in public. Lucy huffed and clung onto Rein's arm possessively and then kept watch over Taelia.
