So, I epically fail at backgrounds. I always have. But, I wanted to draw something more than just two people standing around for once and I hate this much thus far, but there's still a big empty space and I'm at a loss what I should fill in there AND if my kinda... what is it called? vanishing point? (they never went over this while I was in school, actually...) or whatever is angled correctly o__o;

hmm by the looks of it they are at a carnival of some sort?

you could put a balloon cart back there and maybe some one handing them out? and since it is a back round the people that are in the background do not have to be very detailed.. just enough to let ppl know there is other ppl around.

haha, I hadn't really thought of it being a carnival before, but I guess it does come off that way, haha.

I really like this picture and I praise you for drawing it so perfectly. I just love how beautiful and well-drawn it is.
And I'm sorry for saying this, but [to me] this looks kinda like a shounen-ai pic or something. Maybe it's just my knack for spotting stuff like that in the smallest of things.
Anyway, good job! And I hope you can finish the background--I know it's gonna be amazing.

hahaha, it's TOTALLY suspposed to be hinting at Shounen-ai xD
I was thinking of him saying something like "I'd like to know how that feels" or something equally cheesey, haha.

I should just get around to finishing the drawing, but I keep starting othres and then never finishing it ;w;

Yay! I knew it! And as for the...procrastinating?... that's okay. Artists can be distracted from their objective.
And about the saying... for soem reason, it appeared to me like the guy with the ice cream was being asked out on a date... >.>

I think a lot of my problem is that I get distracted with an all new picture and never finish the ones I started...

ah, well....

Yeah, I guess the pose does make it seem like he's hitting on him ^^;

That's what happens to me too! Except it's with writing... But I guess you just have to pull out the old work and get back on it once you're bored or finished with the new one...

And I seem to have too mnay ideas for what's going on in the picture...my fangirlness takes over once in a while. sweatdrop

I went back and studied the picture more closely and I thought up of somethign else he could be saying... like asking him if he could share his ice cream with him... :3
