My Mother was into folk music, I grew up going to her folk dancing get togethers, listened to celtic music with her (as little as possible), and grew up with her Loving Scotland and Celtic related artifacts and history.
I do think that is where I get my adoration of Scandinavian things, I watched her love her heritage and I like mine(I'm Norwegian on my dad's side- she HATES the Sandinavians with a fiery passion).
Granted the history on Sacandinavian side is darker than that of the Scots, which might be why I'm getting some crazy dreams lately.
