Spira curled beside her mate and watched her daughter splashing in the shallow stream, a smile on her maw. The young female held a certain place in her heart, so much like the seas and storms of her homeland... Well, their homeland. "Be careful, Princess." She murmured as she leaned back against Caladbolg, her eyes lazy with the urge to nap. Her mate would watch, he always did.
"Of course momma." Clasira murmured over her shoulder as she chased the small fish, eyes keen with delight. "Gonnagetchagonnagetchagonnagetcha." She chanted under her breath, giggling and splashing further down the stream, pouncing on the rocks that the musical water laughed over. This was the free lands, where many lions brought their cubs to wrestle and interact... So far she hadn't seen anyone but her brother today, and Adian hardly counted! "Something to doooo.. Someone to see... I cannot find you, I hope you find me..." She murmured mostly to herself, little tail waving as she pounced after a frog that had suddenly caught her eye.

It was with a sudden movement, in the blink of an eye. A black form suddenly surged from behind, like a... wet black monster? Anyway, it pounced on the poor blue kit, shoving her into the water and taking her place on the rock, giggling impishly. And then, just like that, it started hopping away, running off into the tall grasses that lined the shore. With a malevolent glint in his eyes, Mercury smirked to himself, pleased with his mischief. Pranks were fun, oh so much fun! And he didn't have to play nice or be cute with anyone!

Clasira squaked in very unlady like fashion as she tumbled head-first into the water, coughing and spluttering when she resurfaced. She whipped around to glare at the shape on her rock, then watched him pounce away. "GET BACK HERE!" She seethed, leaping onto the rock. The flow of her irritation stirred the water of the stream, made wind whip overhead, thrashing the grasses he had disappeared into. "That wasn't fair!" She snarled and leapt for the bank, clawing through the grass. "Where are you!? Come out and fight!" Clasira was the sea and sky, smooth as a cloudless day and raging as a tsunami. Two guesses on which part of her the male had awakened...

"Haha, sissy! Can't come out and find me, little baby?" Mercury mocked, keeping on the path of escape. His ears twitched as the wind picked up, such a wierd weather! First all still and smothering, and now a sudden breeze. Not that he minded, being black in the summer was a pain... Spotting a tree on his way, a new idea lit up on Mercury's mind, racing towards it. Add insult to injury, why not? Making use of the climbing prowress was always fun as well...

The wind whispered everything, flowing back to her, chanting the location of her prey. Eyes narrowing Clasira chased, ears pinned and little rumbling growls building in her chest and spilling out of her mouth. "Gonna catch you." She hissed. "Am not a sissy..." She had a warrior father and brother... It was not possible to be a sissy!

"Yeah right." Mercury shot back, reaching the tree quickly, he drew out his claws and climbed up, perching himself on one of the branches, waiting for her to come in range. "I'm right here!" he taunted further, grinning widely. Ready... steady...

She burst out of the grass and promptly sat, staying a good distance away from the tree -out of pouncing range- eyes narrowed. "You..." She snarled. "Are a downright Unpleasant Fiend." Her mother had told her tales of the monsters that roamed the land of Spira... And at the moment, this cub reminded her of just that... "I am not a sissy.. I am Clasira, and my father is a warrior, and my brother is a warrior... And I could take you if you didn't scurry up that three like a frightened squirrel."

Cursing to himself, Mercury looked for something else to annoy her with. She'd probably make a mistake some time... he just needed to provide the means for it. He rolled his eyes, raising a paw to his forehead theatrically. "Oh my! You have two warriors in your family! Such power! It scares me!" His voice was dripping with sarcasm, his victim act disappearingfrom one moment to the other. "Not. Please, if you want to compare families I'll be here all day long. It's not even worth it, though, since obviously, there's not an ounce of warrior in you. After all, you're afraid to climb up to a measly tree."

Clasira gave him a cool -slightly mocking- look that practically screamed 'you must think I'm an idiot' and sat squarely where she had stood. "Please... My luck, you'd be dumb enough to fall right on me... I don't think so." She snorted. "You're lucky I don't just call my daddy... He'd just eat you... It'd be a quicker death than you deserved, but I'd tolerate it, since you'd be silent. Does someone as rude as you have a name or do you just go by 'heathen'?" Deep down he'd pricked a nerve, stirring her emotions and the winds into greater turmoil.

He smirked cooly, clearly amused. His brother Gallium would have fallen into it ten times for sure by now, at least. "You must be the dumb one, to think I'd have such a death wish. Though... you do look pretty plump, you'd actually soften the dive." Maybe he did have a death wish... "Please go run call your daddy, it'd just further confirm your sissiness. Mmmmh, heathen... nope, nobody caaled me that yet."

The female drew to all fours, squaling in protest. He'd called her fat! HE HAD CALLED HER FAT! "You're a BEAST!" She snarled. "Little better than those outlaw hyenas! Those rogues! Fiend." He was lucky she didn't just screech for her father, or Adian and Riadir, they'd show him! Or better yet, she could probably manage to call a storm -complete with lightning- and zap him right off that stupid tree. "I barely know you and I think I hate you." She spat.

Another eye roll. What was it with others and drama?"Ah, now those ones I've been called. and here I thought I'd have some more novelties on my namesake collection..." Suddenly, one could see Mercury was almost beaming with joy, for a breif moment. It ended fast though. "Great! I'd hate to have someone who can't take a joke fawning over me. This is getting boring though, so go back. They'll probably be starting to worry by now."

"Fawn? FAWN? I have hardly fawned over someone like you! Someone so rude, and inconsiderate! A JOKE? You think calling me fat and stupid is joke!? Your sense of humor is horrid!" And at that, she promptly sat, and burst into tears.

He couldn't believe himself. How pampered was this girl? Getting all rawry for getting a free dive, and then bursting into tears like that. Mercury admitted he was being mean, it was on purpose in fact, but damn, she brought it on herself. "The joke was giving you a dip, not the rest, that was to shoo you away since you took it so haughtily. Arrogance is way ugly. And hey, you're putting words in my mouth. But if you want to trash yourself, be my guest. I-" The kit stopped himself from continuing, feeling his words'd probably drown on her ears. Time to get down, it seemed, climbing down the bark and seating in front of her. He wondered how much he'd regret later to simply not up and go...

"I wasn't being haughty, or arrogant, and I definately wasn't putting words in your mouth.. You called me stupid, and you called me fat... You were being mean, you started it... I only followed because I wanted just wanted to know what you were doing..." She sniffled, looking at him sadly. "Obviously it was a waste of time..."
