so, i really liked the Host....
for the first 450 pages. then it got so Monstously Predictable that i was really only reading it out of the faith that something unexpected might happen.
did anyone else feel this way?

The angels, not half so happy in heaven,
Went envying her and me-
The wind came out of the cloud by night,
Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.

I didn't think it was all that predictable. I really liked it. What did you think was obvious?

And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling- my darling- my life and my bride,
In her tomb by the sounding sea.

((There's a subforum for The Host. >.>))

I haven't had the chance to read it yet since it's always checked out and I am not paying for that book. D=
Though I do want to read it to see if SMeyer is a one trick pony.

Saw it and though... sci-fi? Neh...... Not -really- my thing. But I keep hearing great things about it, so maybe.. maybe I'll read it. Or something.

My opinion?
It was Twilight without the vampires.

I was severely disappointed.

Ms.Meyer seems to have a tendency to write the EXACT same characters, and then pop different appearances and names on them.

Wanda? All selfless and sacrificing and wanting to be with two guys at once? Please. She's a BellaClone.

There were other things, but I don't recall them because that novel is utterly forgettable.

I'm really hoping for better with the novel coming out soon.
