It was absolutely amazing. Not only the best Batman movie I've ever seen but probably the best movie I've seen in years. Leaps and bound better than even Iron Man which was awesome.
Heath Ledger gives the performance an actor would hope to "go out" on. He, is his character and his character is sick. A villain so monumental that it gives even Darth Vader a run for his money as the sickest most twisted being, who can get the job done.
The plot twists and turns and just when you think it can't get any better, it gives you forty five more minutes worth of better.
It's been a long time since I watched a movie that I thought upped the standards, but I gotta say this one did. To draw a comparison, Iron Man knew how to be amazing. The Dark Knight created new ways to be spectacular.
I recommend it for everyone except little ones and those with coulrophobia.

I liked it, but there was annoying 5-year-olds who wouldn't shut up behind me, and my friend who was totally freaked out beside me. The bad atmosphere detracted from it a little. And there were a few things about it that confused me, but anyway, it was worth it.

Tell me about it... And they didn't kill him off in the end... You think they'll recast the Joker? Who could play him?
I wouldn't wanna see a different actor interpret the Joker, just somebody try to become Heath Ledger as the Joker... Who could do that? stare

That's actually a rumor. That Johnny Depp will be cast as the Joker. But at this point, anything about the next movie will just be idle speculation. The scripts not even written yet. I have my own hopes for the plot of the next movie: *SPOILER ALERT HIGHLIGHT AT YOUR OWN PERIL* Two-Face isn't dead. Instead his fall put him in a coma and he's been on life support in Arkham ever since, the Police Department having covered up his murders. He wakes up, his Harvey Dent persona being completely lost, and escapes from Arkham, and starts killing people in a seemingly erratic pattern. Batman starts visiting the Joker in Arkham Clarice Starling style to gain a better understanding of the path that his talk sent Harvey Dent down and hopefully predict his next move so they can bring him down before everything they have done so much to cover up is brought into public view.

The Riddler was one of Batman's greatest foes and that guy doesn't look like get could take Gary Coleman, not to mention he didn't come off as intelligent... Like... At all...

that movie was amazing. but i really think i would want to see another one with the joker in it cause no one can do what heath ledger did for the role. ever.
