Orpheus had been somewhat surprised when Ter had come to him in a manner that could at first be seen as rather helpful when he was planning out the class for a student. He had even offered to help out! Geia had filled him in later with the 'why' of Ter's sudden bout of helpfulness so he'd changed his idea of the class to something he could teach on his own. The boy's breed was a small, speedy little creature and that was what he'd decided to teach.
He would save Ter's idea of having the kid play dodge ball to work on his 'evasion' until he was older... maybe by then his son would get over his fascination of scaring Cassi.
The red haired teacher was waiting just inside the first classroom where he'd set up various different things for him to try. There were things for him to jump over, to run around, and to climb. Each of the items set up to look like things out of a dog agility test like one saw on television.
He could only hope the striking similarity wouldn't upset his student.

If Cassi had known that this man was the snake boy's father... or even that the snake boy had almost 'helped' in this class, he'd be scared beyond all reason. Luckily, he was ignorant of such and was still nervous as he clung to Reign's leg. The woman opened the door to the classroom and shuffled her way in as Cassi peered around her legs.
"Hello." Reign greeted the man, who appeared to be the teacher. She glanced down at the boy behind her. "Say hello, Cassi." There was a soft muttering of something from the kid in pink, which one would have to assume was some sort of greeting.

The redhead looked up from a clipboard that he was reading over and gave a smile, "Good, you were able to find the place." He said, knowing that D-Corp could sometimes be quite a big maze for new people. He turned his attention to Cassi and smiled, "Welcome to class Cassi, its nice to have you."

Reign grinned. "I made my sister tell me how to get here." She had gotten lost the first time she'd been here, but a phone call to Ala had fixed that rather quickly. She'd talked her sister into pointing out several of the classrooms Cassi would need to go to.
Cassi waved shyly, peering about the room curiously. "What's that?" He asked, pointing to some of the equipment in the room. What was he going to be doing in here?

Orpheus smiled, "That is what you are gonna be practicing on today. I set it up to be a small obstacle course for you to test out your agility on." He said, then motioned for Cassi to follow him so they could get closer, "There are some hurdles for you to jump over, the tall things you have to weave your way through, and then the last one you just run up one side and down the other."
He looked down at the dog boy to make sure that he understood before continuing, "What we are going to do is have you run the course once to get used to it, then twice more timed and see how well you do."

The boy slowly stepped out from behind his mother and looked around at the stuff. All that kind of stuff sounded like something Kate would like to do. He was sad that she wasn't here with him. "That's all?" This wasn't going to be too bad, then.

"Yeah, I try to make the basic skill classes easy. The next one you take might be a little harder." He explained, "But that won't be until your older. You can try out any obstacle once your ready Cassi."
He turned his gaze from Cassi to Reign for a moment and gave her a smile, "Your welcome to stay and watch if you like." He offered to her, he didn't mind when the parents stayed to see their child working on their skills.

Cassi gave a little 'oh' and glanced at the obstacles. Which to try first... He started to head towards one when he heard the teacher talk to his mommy. He whirled about, his eyes clearly reading 'DON'T LEAVE ME'.
Reign smiled and nodded to the teacher before glancing at her son. She didn't budge and soon the boy turned back around to head towards the poles.
Cassi paused, glancing at them for a moment. He was supposed to weave through them? Slowly, he made his way through them, stopping a couple of times. This wasn't too hard...

Orpheus watched Cassi closely, made a couple notes on his clip board then gave an 'ahhh' sound. It all was falling together now as he watched the way Cassi acted, especially around his mother. Ligeia. It was no wonder Ter had been wanting to be part of the class to tease the kid more, he reminded Orpheus in some ways of Ligeia.
As far as Orpheus knew there was nobody the snake enjoyed teasing more then his older brother... well expect for maybe this boy. He was more and more glad he'd not needed the snake's help as time went along.
"Once you have a feel for everything you tell me and we will start." He told the boy, giving him an encouraging smile.

The boy gave a small nod to the teacher and he glanced at the other obstacles left. He was a bit scared of the hurdles. He had to jump over them? What if he fell? So the boy looked over at the last thing. Just run up one side and down the other? He headed towards it at a jog, scrambling up it. Once on top, he peered down and gave a little whimper.

Orpheus gave a smile, "Its alright! Your doing very good Cassi just take your time going down the other side." He called to the boy, "The grass at the bottom will cushion you so you shouldn't worry about falling." It was the reason he'd picked this place for this class, because of the thick grass.

Cassi shook for a moment, looking down, down, down at the ramp. Finally, he closed his eyes and ran down, stumbling at the bottom and flopping onto the grass. He picked himself up and looked over at the hurdles. With a gulp, he ran towards them and jumped, clearing the first. His startlement at his success caused him to miss the second.
Finally, the boy finished and looked back at the teacher and his mom, who smiled.

Orpheus smiled when Cassi returned back to him and his mother, "That was a good first try." He told the boy, making a quick note before looking around, "Now where did I leave... ah-ha!" He walked over to where a blue cooler was sitting, hidden among the tall grass and opened it up. He took out a bottle of water before returning and held it out to Cassi.
"Take a drink and catch your breath, when your ready will will have you try for your first timed run at the course. You can do the obstacles in any order you like."

Cassi happily took the bottle of water and drank some of the cold liquid, glancing over at the obstacles. "I have to do them fast?" He asked in the pauses between drinks of water. He looked up at his mother for the answer and she gestured towards the teacher, not wanting Cassi to depend on her for everything...
So the boy turned his gaze upon Orpheus.

"There are two things you want to do here, you want to be fast but you want to keep from tripping or falling as well." He explained to Cassi, "The second thing being far more important then the first."
He gave him a smile, "If you like I can run it with you the first time." He offered, though he might look a little silly jumping over tiny hurdles if it would help the boy he didn't mind.
