With a spring in her step and a song in her heart, Kaishara Immareska de la Phantom -just Kai, to most- moved along the sunny path through the forest and fields. Her lope was graceful, fluid, but not as good as flying. Nothing was as good as flying, as good as just leaping into the air and soaring, up up up... Into the blue... "Look to the horizon, that's where dreams begin. Spirits soaring upward, gliding wing to wing. Light and color swirling, moving through the sky. The bigger picture comes alive, when you fly. Into the blue, let the current move you. Let the wind rush through. Into a place you've never seen, come face to face, find what it means, Into the blue. Look below the surface, so much life to find. Wonders of the ocean, swimming side by side. Dive into the moment, see how floating feels. A deeper part of you revealed, when you riiiiiiiiise... Into the blue, let the current move you. Let the wind rush through. Into a place you've never seen come face to face, find what it means. Into the blue, into the sea, into the sky, you're breaking free. Into a place you've always dreamed but never found. The rush of the ocean, a gust from the sky, the wind and the wave a breathtaking ride. Right from the mountains the call of the sea. Into the blue. Let the current move you. Let the wind rush through. Into a place you've never seen come face to face find what it means... Don't just look at the world, Be a part of the view. And soon you'll find the blue in you...." Moving to a canter she sang, longing to leap into the sky.

A small ivory, cerulean and onyx form darted about through the tall grasses, cobalt eyes focused on the endless sky as the flutter stallion continued on his merry way. Kazu was never one to dwell on things in his life, be them good or bad- he just took them as they came, and generally hoped for the best. He supposed he inherited the optimism from his father... although he would insist that the similarities ended there.
He did love his father, but... Nahuel was just embarassing sometimes.
A melodic voice warming the silence of the still daylight air drew his attention away from his slightly estranged family, azure hues blinking curiously as the sound struck a note of familiarity in his memory. He knew that voice from somewhere... perhaps... miss Siren? He wasn't sure of her real name, since she'd never given it to him, but 'Siren' fit her well enough.
The hypnotic sound coaxed him away from his erratic flight path, flickering vision focusing itself on a shadow moving through the vast fields. Concentrating for a moment, he grew in size until his hooves touched the ground, never losing speed on his own trek through the dirt paths. Nickering a soft greeting as he slowed to a trot, then slid to a halt before the winged mare, dipping his head in acknowledgement, a lopsided grin spreading across ivorn features.
"We meet again, miss Siren."
He had been tempted to surprise her with a prank, as he was prone to do to his sisters... and- all right, well, maybe most other soquili- but he didn't want to scare her off too quickly.

"Oh!" Kai gave a soft lady-like gasp at the sudden appearance of the charming stallion, a winning smile curling across her dark muzzle even as the sound left her. The brief encounter with him before had been pleasant, and he'd given her a nickname... Had she been so rude as to not introduce herself? "Hello again, and what luck it is!" She laughed. "As much as I like that nickname, I probably aught to tell you my name... I'm Kaishara Immareska, just Kai, if you please... Or Siren, if you wish me to remain..." She bowed her head in a brief greeting, then turned bright blue eyes back to him. "How have you been?"

The sight of her bright smile made his wings flutter in satisfaction, his answering grin brightening a bit in response. His mother would have scolded him for scaring her, perhaps thrown a bit of a fit over it... his sisters would have just glared playfully. His father... well, his father's response wasn't worth looking into.
"Well then, it's a pleasure to learn your true name, Miss Kai... although I do think 'Siren' suits you better, with the lovely voice that drew my attention." He raised one eyebrow, his grin turning decidedly smug. The flirtatious nature of their previous conversation was enjoyable, though it might have been a tad one-sided... she was still a joy to converse with.
Her question took him slightly by surprise, though he suppose it shouldn't have... but since when did anyone other than his family take an interest in his well-being? "I've been well, thank you... perhaps a bit bored, with having nothing to do other than explorations of my favorite flower fields." He gestured over his shoulder with a toss of his head, smiling back at her. "Perhaps I will show you sometime, though I don't know if that sort of thing would interest you. And yourself?"

"You are very kind to say." She laughed softly, fluttering her wings nervously. It was unusual for her to be flattered so shamelessly, but kind of nice, actually. The easy-going manner of her companion was more relaxing than the others she had spoken to. Making it all-too-simple to smile and flirt back. She smiled and shrugged slightly, pretending to be wounded. "I find flowers quite pleasant thank you very much... It would be lovely to see some of your favorite places."

"Then I would be honored to show you," he smiled this time, a genuine smile, rather than the flirtatious grin that had adorned his features since he found her alone here. It was nice to have company that shared in your interests, and she seemed genuinely pleased to be in his own company. Of course, he could have been reading this all wrong- it wouldn't have been the first time- but it was an opportunity to make a good friend, if not something else.
He dipped his head slightly as he glanced towards her fluttering wings- was she anxious, or just restless? Maybe it was a good idea to cut back on the flattery, if it made her nervous- she seemed a bit more modest than he was used to, as well. "Would you like to fly? Or simply to take a walk there? It isn't terribly far, but I could be persuaded to make a game of it."
The mischievious grin was back, tugging one corner of his mouth upwards as he eyed her with a playful glint to his cerulean orbs. Playing, pranking and teasing was what he did best, after all... and he suspected it might put her more at ease if she were having fun. Perhaps he had inherited his father's childish love for games, but in the interest of making friends, it didn't seem to be a bad thing.
"What would you say to a race, Miss Kai?"

Kazuko was the second flutter-type she'd met in her life, the first a filly who she often thought of as her best friend. The flutters seemed to have this joyous air about them, an easy sort to make friends with, that was for sure! So when the charming stallion challenged her to a game, she was all too happy to accept! "A game?" She replied with a challenging air. "My good sir, I am all to happy to try whatever you should propose! You simply have to outline the rules." She pranced in place, wings stretching, excitement lighting her eyes.

"Rules?" he asked with a defiant glint of playfulness and mischieviousness that heralded the coming of most of his pranks gracing the depths of his indigo eyes, his grin only widening in contentment and comfort as her previous feelings of uneasiness seemed to evaporate at his suggestion. She was lovely, prancing about in thinly veiled excitement and anxiousness- though he dismissed those thoughts with another shake of his head.
"Where would the fun be in laying down rules, Miss Siren? That would take out the element of surprise and excitement of the game." He chuckled lightly, his own wings fluttering in anticipation. It had been a long time since he'd had a companion to play and compete with in good fun- the only soquili that he'd managed to rope into his schemes and antics were always poor sports about his methods. "I encourage you to play dirty if you can, it always makes things more interesting."
He grinned widely at her once more, tossing his head towards a meadow on the distant horizon to indicate where their goal was. Then he bowed his head, eyes still on her as his wings fluttered in restlessness. "Ladies first," he murmured lowly, gesturing with a wing for her to take the initiative as he alternately eyed her and the field in the distance.

She eyed him with the keen gaze of a hunting falcon, proud and wild and free. "Aye, rules good sir.. You'll be wanting them, if you care to dance with me." She laughed at his use of the nickname once more. "You like surprise, do you? Very well..." She shrugged. It was, as they say, his funeral. "Dirty?" She pretended to be aghast. "But my good sir, I would never wish to get dirty! How would anyone be able to call me "Siren" again?!" She laughed and cantered to him, snapping him smartly on the haunches with her tail as she leapt into the air. "Very well!"

Though she continued to surprise him with her enthusiasm with his game, and even her willingness to forego any sort of regulations about said game, his grin only grew wider as his own anticipation rose. He laughed lightly at her exaggerated and teasing response to his own suggestion, eyeing her purposefully before adding his own two cents on the matter with an amused raise of one eyebrow. "My dear, you would still be 'Siren' even if your beauty were tainted by mud and dirt through every inch of your coat. Besides, I'm sure you outshine even my looks with the lovely voice that captured my attention."
So it could never be said that Kazuko wasn't at least a little vain. He was proud of the charms he had inherited from his mother, even if some of them were debatedly feminine. He was under the impression that it only added to his charm... okay, so perhaps he was more than a little vain. He wasn't arrogant, in any case, and he hoped that she would never receive the impression that he was.
He started a bit in surprise at the unexpected swat to his hindquarters, but only laughed freely at the gesture as she took off ahead of him, his grin widening into what could only be classified as a smirk. After giving her a moment's head start, he launched himself up into the air, fluttering about a moment before taking off after her- his movements through the air much more reminiscent of a hummingbird's than a falcon's, like hers. It wasn't as graceful or magnificent as the wind, but then, being a flutter did have its advantages.
An advantage which he would have embraced in reverting to his smaller size and zipping off after her, if he wasn't already engrossed in the chase as he was.
