Kaya slowly sipped the iced tea, letting the sun warm her skin as she sat at one of the tables in the outside area of the cafe. It was a very pleasant, balmly day today and she was taking advantage of the weather. "It's so nice out..." She commented, a smile tugging the sides of her lips up. It was the perfect day to merely sit, drink tea, and contemplate things in a quiet cafe.
The young woman let her bright green eyes wander, making lazy little movements of her head to observe all that seemed to be going on around her. Perhaps it was a tad odd that she was alone at a cafe such as this without any friends, but sometimes she needed her moments of peace, too.
Kaya removed a large, rather decked-out camera from her purse, aimlessly clicking the review button with a slender finger to look over the pictures she'd taken thus far. It didn't pay well, but she really did love her job.

Tango walked up to cafe, a sigh escaping his lips. His eyes were trained on the ground watching the cracks idly while his fists were shoved into his pockets. His posture was a bit slouched as he walked up to the door and opened it.
The bell on the top of the door rang, greeting his ears. The familiarity of the sound had his emerald orbs peeling off the floor to the bell. Another sigh. He made his way to the counter and ordered a coffee, two sugars, two creamers.
As he waited for his order, he ran his fingers through his orange hair. May had been acting strange lately. It was really starting to get to him. He had truly thought she had been over Carrie's death. Had he been wrong? She hadn't cried much, he knew that. But she had been hiding away more and more often then not lately, it was really starting to piss him off.
The man on the other side of the counter slowly slid his hot beverage to him, and slamming money down on the counter he took his cup and made his way outside to sit at empty table.
Really. He needed a caffeine high.

Kaya had watched the slouched boy with a helpless curiosity as he'd gone into the cafe, though she'd trained her eyes on other things since. She now watched as he exited with a coffee and sat at one of the nearby tables. Why had he caught her attention? His age, for certain. She'd already stopped looking to her camera and had turned it off, but now she turned it back on, innocently snapping a photo of the boy with a smile.
After she'd taken the photo she stood, toting her purse, camera, and iced tea with her to seat herself across from the boy and regard him with a smile, once again clicking the small review button. "You're very photogenic." Kaya commented ecstatically. "And cute~" She gushed, waving over a waiter that had just gotten off of his break. "Can you get him a coke in one of those little plastic cups and put it on my tab~?"
"Of course, ma'am." The waiter replied with a nod before disapearing inside to do as he was told.

He had been sitting perfectly fine by himself, pondering his mother's recent attitude. The stir straw that had been handed to him with his drink had kept his hands entertained as he swirled the drink mindlessly. Needless to say, he was less then enthused when his silent musings were interrupted by another's presence.
Photogenic? Since when? He gave off a particularly unpleased scowl, hoping the woman would go away. Cute? He didn't strive to be cute. He didn't strive to be anything. Why did this woman think he was anything even remotely cute?
He was about to open his mouth and tell her to go away, but instead listened as she ordered him a child's cup of soda. What was this blasphemy?! Who the ******** had he pissed off today?
He decided not to humor the girl with any response, instead sulkily (Yes, Tango was Sulking.) took a sip of his coffee.

Kaya smiled to the boy, folding her hands on the table as she waited for the waiter to return. The boy's scowl seemed completely natural to her, and she merely offered a pleasant expression back, watching him closely. "I'm Kaya." She informed him when it became apparent that he wasn't going to speak to her. "What's your name?"
The photographer smiled to the waiter as he set the drink in front of the boy she seemed to be terrorizing before continuing with her words. "Do you like kitties?" She barely noticed that she was treating him as if he were a little toddler she was related to and not some random, sulky kid.

...Okay. So apparently ignoring her and scowling wasn't going to get the airhead away from him. Maybe if he glared? His almost-attempt was foiled when, low and behold, the child's cup of soda was placed in front of him. Yep. Someone up there really hated him today. Damn.
Kaya. He trained the name into his head. This way, when he went on a homicidal rampage, he knew who his second victim would be. (Adrian received the honors of being the first one offed).
He truly had no intentions of answering back with his name. It didn't seem to phase the woman, however, as she kept rambling onto herself. As she paused, attempting to disconcert whether he liked 'kitties' or not, he let out a mental breath of relief.
He really should introduce this woman to Pollux later. If he didn't kill her first that was.
"You're annoying. Has anyone told you that?"

Kaya continued to look to the boy with bright green eyes, blinking as he finally spoke. "How cute!" The woman exclaimed delightedly. "You're just like a little adult! But you know you should really enjoy childhood when you're going through it! It's not very fun being an adult." She informed him, her expression bright.
"I wish I were still a kid~" She mused, grinning idly off into the distance. "But enough of that!" She concluded the small lecture. "I know this park really nearby with a lot of friendly kitties! I like to take their pictures and feed them. They love tomatoes."

Tango couldn't help the twitch his eye gave off at the insane woman before him. What the hell was she on?! ...He decided after another moment that it was doubtfully the same stuff Polly was on.
His scowl deepened further and he contemplated drinking the soda just so the woman would get away from him, nothing being left for her to nag on him with. But, if she was on the same drug- Crack, Meth, Speed? A few options came to mind- then she'd simply order him another, and keep on babbling on like an idiot.
So, he shoved the soda towards her and took a sip of his coffee, furrowing his brow at her over the rim of his cup. Why the hell was the woman here, with him, then, if she could be feeding cats tomatoes? Poor creatures.

Kaya offered yet another smile to the boy. "You don't talk much," She commented, grabbing her camera and taking yet another picture, eyeing it afterwards. "So adorable~" She sang.
The woman soon eyed the coke curiously, looking to Tango. "Don't you like soda?" She questioned curiously, tilting her head. "Oh! And I still don't know your name!" Her lips curved up into yet another one of her smiles, which she seemed to have an endless supply of.

Tango hissed, slamming his cup down on the table with more force then was necessary. "Stop doing that." He growled, slightly frightened by the possibilities of the number of photos the woman had taken of him. Was she trying to steal his soul?!
Through gritted teeth, and a rather lovely death-glare Tango rumbled a "It's Tango. Now go away." Seriously. This woman was worse then Polly. She must have been the devil's incarnate come to force him to repent for kicking Adrian's a** so many times.
Idly, he shoved the soda back towards the woman. Oh, he liked soda just fine. Of course, it wasn't coffee- but he'd have drunk it if she hadn't attempted to mock him by buying it in the form of a sippy cup.

"But you're so cute!" Kaya objected, pursing her lips. "And all of your pictures have turned out very well!" She added, a slight pout to her lips now. Still; what a cute boy! How could he not want his picture taken?
Kaya looked ecstatic as Tango finally informed her of his name. Really, she barely noticed the death glare. "Tango?! Like the dance~?" She looked delighted. "Can you dance it?" She clasped her hands together. "One time I sprained my ankle tangoing in high heels!" Kaya declared.
Eccentric? Slightly. She pushed the soda back to Tango with a little smile, looking enchanted with the boy. He acted like such a little adult~

"Hn." He answered shortly. Oh, him and his monosyllable responses! Of course, anyone fluent in Tango-ish would know this translated to "No." and would realize that this no pertained to her question of tangoing. Of course he didn't dance. His name was just a sick joke formed from Polly and his mother's misanthropic ways. Granted, Polly was most certainly anything but. Still- he didn't place it past his mother to use his name as a great joke. Tango, the Mango. Oh. Har. Har.
He sighed when the soda was pushed back in his direction. "If I drink this- will you go away?" He asked, an elegant eyebrow raised in curiosity. Really. What would it take to get this thing away from him?

Kaya smiled at the fact that at least Tango was making weird noises and speaking some by now. The optimistic young woman grinned, obviously delighted at the fact that this little boy was 'opening up' to her. She cocked her head to the side as Tango spoke a whole sentence, blinking. "Of course not!" She crowed. "You're such a delightful little boy, how could I possibly leave?"
She really had barely any clue how much she was irritating him.

Tango stared at her, jaw slacked. God, she was dense! Instead of dignifying her with a response, he promptly dropped his head. The table clattered as the coffee cup, the iced tea, and the sippy cup of soda settled itself back on the table. He left his forehead where it laid on the glass surface, not willing to bring it back up. He contemplated bashing his head against the table once more in hopes of seeking an escape from this horrible woman. He threw this idea away as he closed his yellow-flecked irises. After all- if he lifted his head now, he would have to look at her again.
...And if he did that, she might start talking again.
God, help him.

Kaya blinked as Tango dropped his head, jumping slightly as the table clattered. "Oh, my..." Kaya blinked, once again clasping her hands together as she observed the situation, hesitating before coming up with it. "Aha! I've caught you in your stage of rebellion!" She cried excitedly, grabbing her camera and snapping a picture of Tango again.
"I bet you think you rule the world sometimes~ That age is always a fun ordeal!"
