Odd episode.

Katara's more emo than Zuko used to be.

Also, SUGGESTIVE THEMES.

Well, oh my gosh, this was a very fulfilling episode for the whole series. Katara also accepts Zuko. I can barely speak. What really got me is the commercial for 317.

Wow, it's understandable for her to distrust him at first. Really it was, but Zuko's right that by that point she should have at least been less suspicious or hateful.

But I'm so glad that she didn't do it. I knew she wouldn't but I'm still glad she didn't. He wouldn't have been worth the emotional turmoil it would have caused.

rofl Sukka. "Field-trips."

That was a good episode. Katara was.......like an emotional train wreck heat-seeking missile launcher. I'm so glad we finally got a Katara flashback. Oh, and Azula's madness is starting to show. I can't wait 'til we see her full-blown crazy side. (We saw Katara's. XD)

I'm also glad Katara didn't kill him. I'm surprised she used her blood-bending on the wrong guy...and ignored that she even used it. She was on one hell of an emotional rampage.

Okay, after watching that episode, I think I can safely make this claim.

I think that had to have been the best episode so far this season and maybe one of the best in the series. Forget anything relating to "Zutara or not," that was an amazing episode.

This episode reminded me of some of the things I love about this series. Amazing fights, wonderful character development, well made background stories, and splashes of humor.
And so, random little notes about the episode.

I'm glad that Zuko is now officially a part of the Gaang. All we need now is uncle.
And almost everyone has now had one episode with Zuko. I wish there was more Zuko and Toph interaction. (Still a Taang fan but I like the idea of Toko)

We finally get to see Katara use Bloodbending again. I'm glad they didn't keep that to one episode. After seeing Zuko's face I bet he was thinking, "Mental note: Do not make her angry during the full moon."

I loved the fight with Azula. That's ranking up there on my favorite fight scenes. Gawd, I know she's evil and all but seriously I'm just blown away by her cunning.

I loved that effect with the icicles.

Oh, and now we know where the "Sokka with the rose" scene came into play. I almost can't believe Nick let that in. xd

Okay, that's all I can think of for now.

I can't believe they let that in either. I'm glad they did though! rofl

I LOVED the look on Zukko's face when she used the bloodbending.

anyone find it funny when hakoda yelled out kya? [kae-yah] isn't that katara was originally going to be called?

azula "i'm about to celebrate being an only child!!!!" i don't think that those were her exact words.

when i saw the sokka with the rose in the trailer, and then they came back with suki.... i was like "no way..." oh gosh... children show much?

This episode was just OK for me the first time I watched it, but when I watched it again this morning, it was boosted a little bit.

I don't know. I just felt like Katara's feelings came out of nowhere. It seemed like her anger suddenly released itself. Maybe it's because I haven't seen the last episodes in a while.

Azula scared me for a bit. Her insanity was becoming pretty evident. It's most probably because of Ty Lee and Mai's betrayal. What does that say about her? Perhaps the loss of her only "friends" took a toll on her. Throughout the series, we've seen her as a tough and hard-hearted character. Maybe this reveals something about her other side.

On another note, she's so evil! I love it. She's the type of evil that will actually make you grab your hair in agony because the protagonists are suffering. It's really effective. And to think, she's only fourteen. She seems to come up with a different firebending move every episode.

By the way, I was thinking. If Katara used bloodbending now due to the full moon, would she be able to use it during Sozin's Comet? I mean, unless the comet arrives in a month, she won't be able to use it again. How long is it before the comet arrives?

The last thing I want to talk about was the short scene at the dock in the end of the episode. When Katara embraced Zuko, and then she left. Tell me it sort of looked like he was about to follow her with their hands intertwined. Don't get me wrong. I'm not squealing here out of excitement nor am I a fan of any shippings, but I'm saying that from my observations. Actually, I was about to kick the TV if that happened. They definitely weren't ready for that... Maybe the creators were planning on doing that but decided not to. Hehe.

Actually, I lied. Maybe I'm sort of a fan of Kataang. Then again, I can't help feeling Aang's going to die.

Finally, I'm really excited for tonight's episode. I can't wait.

Was the moon full? I'll have to watch the episode again and look for the moon, I don't remember seeing a full moon. But then again, I think Katara is powerful enough that she probably could blood bend any time: she's young, healthy, and hadn't been starved and tortured like uh... what'sherface was. (I'm so horrible with names. Hama?)

I think Kaya was her mother's name. But I don't know if that was originally going to be Katara's name or not. Unlike with PPG I didn't see the pilot episode and I didn't really get into the series until the end of season 1. Heh, I was recording the finale while watching the last few episodes that led up to in on my compy.

And Katara's anger was really out of place, she wasn't that angry the episodes before that. If she were I doubt she'd have let Zuko and Aang go off on there own. You may call it character development but I don't see how that applies. It was out of character for Katara to be that angry and that unforgiving. When she met up with Jet again yes, Katara was ready to hurt him. But then they trusted him and he really did want to help. It's unfortunate he was brainwashed but that was beyond his control and she forgave him. And yes, Katara was the first to trust Zuko and he did betray her, but he's since proven that he's not evil anymore. I don't understand how Katara projecting her anger over loosing her mother onto Zuko really works that way. But then I suppose that's because I blamed the hospital for my Dad dying but I still use that hospital. I didn't hold the anger my whole life and eventually got over it. But mostly I don't see how that could be character development when Katara spent most, maybe even all, of the episode out of character. It's like she was someone else for that episode and that someone else got all of the character development. I hope now that that whole debacle of just wanting to show off blood bending it over that we can have Katara back.

You can't imagine how happy I am to have seen that potential Zukka scene. That was pure glory. Sokka with the rose, and the candle light... Lmao... That was sheer win. My inner Zukka fan is showing.

Not to mention the amazing bloodbending by Katara again. The power she possesses with the power of bloodbending is so enticing.

Also, I have to say, Aang had a point when he was telling Katara to forgive. It makes sense, but it would've been great if she sought revenge, as well. I don't really know what to think about her decision.

I never saw Katara like that... She was feirce, angry, and just scary. Now that I think of it that was one of my favorite episodes. I especially loved the part when she froze the rain and was about to finish off the guy who killed her mother. (Still; I think if Aang would have never told her to let out her anger and then let it go, Katara would have killed him.)

I loved this epi. Katara loosing her "all soothing attitude" for a once and cracking up with furry!! burning_eyes still I was wondering why was not Katara's mom was nt tested to be the last water bender of the southern water tribe! The man just took her word for it and killed her. Guess he was stupid as much as pathetic and empty he was.
