You need to work on your porprtions (trust me so do i XD its hard). In most/ some of you pictures the eyes are way to small for the head. Your nose in the first pic seems its waayyy down on the face, like really long, makes it look weird. This will be easier if i do it this way, here. ^_^

1st Pic: - eyes are way to small for the head
- the ear is great ^^ right place for it to ^_^
- hair is great ^_^ well done

2nd Pic: - head has no shape at all, unless you meant her to have a round head.
- Again the eyes are waaayy to small. Nose is ok
- this time the ear looks off.
- Nice hair though ^_^
- neet clothing design, body porportions seem slightly off or tilted.... ^_^

3rd Pic: - Head shape jsut isn't there at all....
- Eyes are a little to small again
- like the nose and mouth, great job ^_^
- Hair is off due to head shape.

4th Pic: - Wow! great job i really like this one well done
- eyes are actually ok ^_^
- ear seems a tad to far back, but it still looks wonderful.
- Great job on the hair.

5th Pic: - well done ^_^
- Inuyasha's eyes need more detail.
- other then that wonderful job.

6th Pic: - work on the face shape ^_^ it looks undefined.
- arm looks strange, work on porportions ^_^
- legs are off to XD no feet? the legs to long compared to bod porportion.
- Great job on the clothes and backgrounds. You are really good at backgrounds it seems XD ^_^

7th Pic: - Face is off, no shape
- great job on the hair
- Neck is to thick ^_^;;
- arms need work, porportion, that is what it is all about ^_^
- same length from shoulder to elbow as elbow to wrist, remember. same goes for the legs.
- awsome job on the clothes again, and nice bow and quiver.
- good job on the background again ^_^

8th Pic: - head shape wrong, not there.
- hair will work out if head shape fixed.
- Great and awsome background again, awsome detail.
- porportions porportions porportions XD
- feet to small for body.

9th Pic: - head shape?
- neck to thick?
- shoulders are off
- clothing could use some detail or work ^_^
- guy? or girl? body build?
- great at the showing of emotion ^_^

Trust me you are doing actually really well for someone that has had no art lessons at all ^_^ Great job and there is some critique hope ya dont mind ^_^

oh wow...this is perfect! thank you so much! ppl call me weird cuz i like to have people critique me...but oh well. i really appreciate it. i will keep all that in mind. and its quite funny because i avoid doing backgrounds because they are what i have trouble with the most, or so i thought....lawls! but thanks again, i will try to work on some more and see if you can see any difference. it might be a while, you know life and all that im pretty busy. and one more thing concerning the eyes: are you sure on its ok to make my eyes bigger? i know with the pic of Ariannah it turned out wayyyyy to small, but i just started doing manga so i wasnt sure what i was doing but back to my question. for example on #3, i was trying to realistic, not manga, so i didnt want the eyes traditional magna-huge. and i also am afraid that if i make the eyes really big it will look weird...i mean i know its manga/anime and thts how it is, but i dont want to push my luck and make it hugnormous to the point it look even worse then when it was small and the face is all eyes....and i know my proportion is all out of whack...i have a TERRIBLE time with it. it is FAR from being my strong point. oh and #9 - its supposed to be a Japanese schoolboy-like guy, so i didnt add a lot of detail to his uniform and i am still trying to work on that one....

User Image
here is a fat rabbit i drew(i had trouble with the ears so i know they look bad):
User Image
and a butterfly that i also did a while ago, like in January
User Image
and a wolf
User Image
and just a cute manga girl(i did the eyes on the comp cuz i messed them up very badly)
User Image
and a cool Japanese schoolgirl that i played with on the comp. and yes i know she looks like an alien you dont need to rub it in
User Image
here is the original of the above drawing
User Image
and here is a guy i drew with my awesome dream sword(i will show the full sword some other time) and yes i know the eyes are microscopic; i am still having huge eye problems, so bear with me. mostly the keypoint of this one is the sword...i almost worked harder on that then the dude

Alright!

You have a good start going here. I'd really like to see you do more drawings from life since the apples are probably your strongest piece.

Why?

Because you're thinking about them as objects in a 3 dimensional space. Your other drawings come across as very flat. If you work from life and photographs more and more, you'll find that the 'flat' look will gradually resolve and you'll be thinking about objects as things with depth and weight.

To get better at drawing people, I'm gonna throw a few links your way. Sit down with your sketchbook and just work a little bit at a time on proportions.

http://www.gwc.maricopa.edu/class/bio201/skull/skulltt.htm Some nice pics of a skull. Good way to get an idea of what's going on under the skin and hair. Remember! The head isn't a perfect sphere or a flat oval. It's a series of different circular shapes.

http://odduckoasis.deviantart.com/art/Anatomy-Tutorial-27484310 it's not the best anatomy drawing, but this tutorial tells you what you really want to think about when drawing the human figure.

http://www.artshow.com/resources/drawing.html here's another good place to check out.

Keep it up!
