So, I've been seriously keeping tabs on the upcoming MMO. I'm expecting to enjoy it and play quite a bit.
My question here is, could we get some sort of cooperative clan going with people who we already know, by virtue of being members of this guild, enjoy a good roleplaying game?
from the limited amount of info they've released about the rings/abilities, I think I want to make a healer type, so I'll need some sort of "Swordy" type to travel around with.

I never really have a type... I go with what fits the person I have in mind, Rinith is a bit of a swordy type, though no tank, Il go along with that.

Uagh, considering I have Age of Conan, Anarchy Online, Final Fantasy VII AND Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on the go all at the same time along with roleplay with friends on the weekend I think I might collapse from overplaying razz
Though i guess I could spare some more of my already filling up day. once school comes back I'm screwed though... stressed
I tend to have the habit of running in head first so I would probably make tank.

ok, so tank, sordy and healer, sounds like a good setup! We'll just have to see if the game actually plays that way.

I've been following it closely as well. I always play healers in MMOs. Well, at least initially. You can always get a party if you're a healer, after all.
Something i've been considering doing is starting a guild up for the MMO. I would invite everyone I think is cool. Then I would have them invite everyone who they think is cool. That way, only cool people would be in it. It also would mean anyone is welcome into the guild, and if you have two friends who are looking at different guilds, it could be a happy meeting place. Considering I know mostly RPers, it'd be a good place for that sort of thing too.

eh, zOMG is a very, very Gaia sorta word. I can understand why they chose it. And it was user submitted, so Gaia is working to take into consideration the member's views, as usual.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. xd
On the flip side, they say beta is going on, and that means they are picking out beta testers. Maybe some of us will get picked? That'd be super awesome. I also have a hunch that they're going to make it live really really soon for two reasons; the olympics comics are introducing a lot of the elements from the game into Gaia, and they've never had anything in beta for very long in the past.

I applied a while back to beta test, never got a message back so I guess I wasn't picked.
zOMG is supposed to be open sometime this year according to the developers, I'm seriously looking forward to it! It would be nice if it started a little before I begin Grad school.

I heard Summer, but I don't know how valid the claim is. The Chat_God person who picked the name is the one claiming it, though. They might be privy to that info... then again, they might be full of it, too. xd

I've heard rumor that they will be opening a 10,000 member beta in the near future, but that's just rumors. I don't know.
