While Fade was a fantastic guardian, it was quite obvious he was not the best of parents. Valkyrie was...less than pleased. Her adoptive father's intentions were of course always the best, but sometimes he didn't seem to quite think things through clearly.
While, yes, going to the pool in the middle of the summer -sounded- like a good idea, the fact was that Valkyrie was really too young and too blind to properly enjoy it. Or at least, that was how it seemed.
Fade held the girl, suddenly wondering whether or not this had been a good idea. He was fairly certain she couldn't swim yet-- whether because of age, lack of training, or her particular handicap he wasn't sure, but something told him that just putting her in the water would be a bad idea.
And, not being familiar with children or anything to do with them, this idea had not occurred to him before coming to the pool. And so, ideas like water wings and floaties designed for toddlers had completely escaped his attention. So now he was here, hoping that nobody thought badly of him for having no idea what to do about the blind toddler in his arms.

The tall woman came into the area carrying her son in her arms. The woman had white hair and icy blue eyes and upon her body she wore a one-piece bathing suit that was the same icy blue as her eyes. Her son wore a pair of swim trunks with a bunch of palm-leaves patterning it and he seemed more than thrilled to be there once his large eyes saw the pool.
“YAHH!” Mana shouted with exuberance which made Riulve flinch a little in reaction.
“Not so loud, Mana.” The tall woman chided softly but despite the fact that her ears were now ringing she smiled, happy to see her child so pleased. Her daughter was left with the elderly neighbor in favor of spending one-on-one time with her son since she had been spending so much time with her daughter. It was now Mana’s time. Well, ideally it was.

Valkyrie might have been blind, but she could certainly -hear- well enough. She flinched a bit at the boy's yelling, and Fade directed his attention to them, wondering whether he ought to ask them to quiet. The woman chided her child as soon as he thought to say something, though, and so Fade decided against it.
Instead, the man fidgeted a bit with the bows on Valkyrie's swimsuit, and the girl squirmed a bit, attempting to signal him that she wanted to be let -down-. Fade only held her all the closer, though, afraid she might slip on a wet spot on the floor.

Riulve wandered a bit closer to the pool before finally letting Mana down on the ground where he went toward the water. He bent over and touched the water’s surface and shivered a bit. “S’cold.” the boy observed, but he sounded delighted by it.
The tall woman just laughed lightly and shrugged, “You’ll get used to it.” She seemed unworried about what might happen to him if left to his own devices. She glanced over toward Fade having noticed him watching them upon entering. Not wanting to seem too unfriendly she reached up a hand and waved. Mana, for now, seemed oblivious.
