Wit was out alone today, which, in truth, was a rare occurrence for the attention-grabbing blond. Generally he was tailed about by Dweian Auray, or 'Dwee', as the blond liked to call him, and Dwee it was, for the talkative halfbreed would hear of no other name for the stocky brunette.

But today there was no Dwee, for Dwee, Wit's self-proclaimed nanny, had been napping on the couch with a book over his youthful features, and his 'charge' the vampire-fae hybrid...the walking denunciation of the modern fashion trends, had silently walked past him and out the front door. It was such a lovely day, after all, and Wit was a fully functional and highly intelligent adult..the only trouble was, he'd willed away much of his own common sense in exchange for a carefree sort of existence.

Bloody stubborn, to tell you the truth.

Humming a tune beneath his breath, his shoes made the softest of sounds against the pavement. Green eyes were everywhere, glancing to and fro at the people and the places as his surroundings changed. He was simply letting his feet carry him at the moment, and so it was quite natural that, with his luck, something would happen...and something did.

Hands in his pockets, the humming had changed into a slight, off-key whistling, which could hardly be heard amongst the noises of the city, which was all right for Wit, the hubbub was not at all off-putting, and thrummed of an energy that he could understand, even though he was not a part of it. The warmth of the Fae side of the family was quick to acclimate.

Not so quick to acclimate to groups of people, however, was Wit, and the something came in the form of bumping into one of the many individuals that he had been paying little heed to. It was a solid smack, since his gaze had been in another direction entire, and he quickly stepped back, expression open and apologetic. "Ah, this one is sorry!" A hasty apology, though the voice was low...pleasant, cultured, the words spoken were odd, and he who spoke them even more peculiar still.

Such a pleasant day. The sun was shining, and the temperature was just right: not too hot and not too cold. A light breeze was even gracious enough to blow through the city, ending the humid dog days of summer for at least a day. Many people who had become the true face of despair and discomfort looked alive and refreshed upon this new day. Lillian was no exception. It was beautiful out and today would be all hers! She was free to do whatever she wanted in Durem. At last she had gotten Tyson out of his room and happy enough to visit a friend.

Lillian felt wonderful now that a certain weight had been lifted off her shoulders for a few hours. It wasn’t that she didn’t love Tyson, but to have a sad child around 24/7 was not a vacation. She just needed a small break.

Unfortunately for Lillian, things wouldn’t go the way she had planned them to. Too caught up in searching for decent clothing stores, the teenager never raised her head. She wasn’t worried about the people who were heading in the direction she came from. The crowd moved like water around a boulder, moving past her and never through her. She was fine. But such confidence would jinx her.

Before Lillian would even fully grasp what had happened, a pain shot up from her lower spine that alerted every sense in her body. She was on the ground. Having fallen rear first, Lillian found herself only able to blink in surprise as she tried to piece together what had just happened. How did she get here? More importantly who was the numbskull who wasn’t looking infront of him that put her here?

Hazel eyes darted upwards when the voice broke her self-questioning. But when her eyes found the speaker, part of Lillian wished she had kept her vision focused on the ground to prevent them from going through the burning sensation they were undergoing now.

Honestly! Why would someone step out of the house in that? But it was like a car accident and Lillian just couldn’t look away no matter how much he wanted to.

Slowly she rose up from the ground, dusting herself off as she did so. “You should be more careful, you could have hurt someone.” The young miss mumbled under her breath, the tingling in her rear and spine still there, not subsiding just yet.
