So exciting! Horus was pumped for this adventure! Finally all the begging and pleading paid off. He was finally able to convince his father to let him go out all alone on this expedition. Even though he was most definitely old enough to care for himself, his father insisted otherwise, saying how dangerous it was to go out alone since Horus was still "young and naive". Bullocks!
With a smile lamenated on his maw, his orange-brown wings flapped excitedly. His striped tails waved about, revealing just how excited he was. Now all he was missing was a partner. From all those adventure-action movies he watched there was always a partner in crime! Someone to bust him out in a jam, or run with him when the giant rock was rolling their way. Yess, that was all that was missing now.

Yawning softly, the angelic Kitsusagi stretched her wings, fluttering her wings slightly before folding them against her back again. Kalliope's tails swayed in contentment as she padded through the grass, the little green blades tickling her paws lightly. "It's such a nice day," She murmured to herself happily, peering up through tree branches and noting the clear, blue sky.
"Though..." Kalliope glanced from side to side, tilting her head slightly. It was indeed a nice day...though there was absolutely nothing to do, aside from lounge around and enjoy the nice weather.
Though she had already spent much of her life doing this.
As her gaze drifted around, the Kitsu wondered vaguely whether or not there were any others around these parts right now. 'I could use some company.' She thought, ears flattening a little, 'Though I'm a little awkward with strangers...'

While doing twirls in the air dark green eyes couldn't help but notice other life around him. He was searching inspite of his never ending excitment for his perfect adventure partner (at least for this adventure) as well as the perfect adventure place (again, at least for this adventure).
He was imagining temples with treasure buried deep within. Lots of traps would prevent the couple from gaining that treasure or leaving alive with it. But he was well equiped with his wings! He hoped his partner was agile as well even if he would not mind rescuing his adventure partner.
Horus spied with his little eyes someone below him enjoying the weather. Perfect! Someone with nothing better to do than enjoy the weather would love an adventure! Or so he assumed. Either way, he was going to convince the angelic not to far from him to come with him.
Spinning to aim his head towards the ground, his wings pushed him closer against the ground. He moved far enough away so that when he landed he would be rather close to the other, but not too close to intrude on personal space. "Hellooooo!" He yelled while still in the air.
Oh gosh oh gosh the excitment was simply building!

Her ears flattened slightly as she spotted no one around her. It came as a surprise to her however, mainly because she had thought that everyone would be out on a day as lovely as this. Apparently she was wrong.
Emitting a somewhat loud sigh, Kalliope shook out her wings again, before plodding along again. Before she could get too far, however, a yell came from above. Caught offguard, the Kitsusagi yelped in surprise, stumbling and nearly toppling over.
She peered up at the other angelic with a small - somewhat timid - smile, her tails whisking side to side in a friendly manner. "Oh - hello there." She greeted, cocking her head to the side. "Who might you be?"
Kalliope had to admit that she was staring. Of all the Kitsusagi she had seen (mainly her family), the only ones with wings had been her parents and her brother. Until now, she had never seen - nevermind spoken to - another winged Kitsusagi like herself.
"Ah, and I'm Kalliope, by the way." She added, smiling.

He swooped over her for a little bit as to not run full force into her. That would not be a good way for a first introduction. 'Hey I ran into you but would you like to come on an adventure with me?'. Yeah, he had a feeling that would not bode so well with the other angelic.
Landing as softly as possible, the quickly padded over to the other. She seemed pretty friendly. Hopefully friendly and willing to come with him. "I'm Horus," he answered her with tails wagging. "Nice to meet you, Kalliope."
Meeting another angelic wasn't too much of a surprise for him. Of course, his family and sister both were angelics, but he had an interaction with another when he was smaller. He couldn't quite remember what he looked like or sounded like, but he was a pretty nice one to put up with him, he imagined.
"So Kalli, what're you doing out here on this beautiful day? Oh, I hope you don't mind me calling you Kalli. Just rolls off the tongue more easily." He nodded with a smile.

She stepped back a little warily as he swooped above her, watching carefully as he landed. Once his paws were on the ground, Kalliope padded up towards him, grinning. "You startled me," She admitted, "But that was certainly a nice entrance."
She dipped her head politely, her ears flicking a little as she gave her little bow. "It's nice to meet you too, Horus." She replied, her own tails wagging a little. He was certainly a nice guy, to say the least. A new friend, perhaps?
"Oh, I don't mind at all," She said hastily, "My family tends to call me Kalli anyways. She smiled at Horus, before giving a little shake of her head. "What am I doing out here? Well...nothing really. I just thought it was too lovely of a day to spend indoors."
She paused for a moment, looking curious. "What about you, Horus? What brings you out here today?" Kalliope asked, feeling as if the other angelic's answer would be quite different from hers.

He was glad she asked! Shifting his weight to his back legs he stood up as best he would on his hind legs, his right forepaw lifted into the air as if about to enlighten the other. "Well, Kalli, I'm glad you asked!" He nodded with enthusiasm.
"I'm about to go on an adventure, but I'm missing a partner in crime of sorts. No one in the family wanted to come out with me," he pouted at the thought, but his face brightened at the possible answer he expected from the femme, "So I was wondering if you'd like to come with me? For some spelunking maybe? I have yet to find a temple of doom or anything like that, but starting small wouldn't hurt either. Maybe a secret super hero lives in the cave." He flashed a genuine smile at the other, hoping her reply would favor him.
The orangey-silver male was slightly disappointed there weren't any temples of doom around this area, but a cave for his first of many adventures would surely be just fine.

She stared up at him in bewilderment as he rose onto his hind legs. Despite the fact she was completely confused, Kalliope couldn't help but laugh softly in amusement. Well, Horus certainly seemed like an eager Kitsusagi, didn't he?
As she listened to him, she found herself knitting her brows together in confusion. Temple of doom? Secret super hero? Kalliope found herself giggling slightly at the male. He certainly seemed to have a huge imagination - or maybe it was just his adventurous spirit. Regardless of what it was, she grinned at him pleasantly. "Weeeell..." She started, drawing out her word thoughtfully.
"I guess so. It sounds like fun, after all." She sat down on the ground, her ears pricked with excitement. "What did you have first on the list, Horus?"

It was probably a combination of both his wild imagination (with some movies to contribute) as well as his most adventurous spirit which led to his ramblings about temples and super heros. To him they were almost everyday occurances as if this were a fictional novel of some sort. It was no laughing matter to him, so he didn't quite understood why the other laughed when he mentioned those things. To him, they were very much real.
His tails wiggled with excitment at her reply. "Well, we should first go to the cave. Can't go spelunking without a cave, right? It's not too far from where we are, but I warn you that I've never been inside. So there many be hidden traps which lead to hidden treasures," he nodded seriously.
The cave probably didn't have any traps or hidden treasures, but Horus would probably think of normal cave features as traps anyway. And who said treasure had to be gold and shimmering and worth millions of dollars? Treasure was in the eye of the beholder. One man's trash is another's treasure, and he firmly believed in that idea as well.

Kalliope found herself believing more and more about what Horus was speaking about. It was probably the excitement of going on an 'adventure' with a new friend, but the usually quiet angelic found herself imagining a cave filled with traps and treasures. That would be a real adventure, wouldn't it? The more serious part of her mind pointed out that the cave probably wouldn't contain either of those things, but she ignored it for now. It wasn't everyday that she was asked to explore a cave with someone.
"It might be dangerous then, won't it?" She asked, feeling as if she were a kit again, "But if there's treasure at the end, we should try our best to get through." Kalliope paused, before spreading out her wings with a grin, "And if there are any traps on the grouind, we'll have a way to get over them."
Having had a pretty quiet and tame childhood, Kalliope enjoyed the idea of being like a kit again - even if just for today. Not to mention it seemed that she had made a new friend as well. "Shall we go then, Horus?" She asked eagerly, "Though are there any supplies we need to bring, or anything?"

Maybe at the end of the cave they wouldn't find a golden statue worth millions of dollars or anything, but it was still worth a try. Even if they didn't find anything physically worth anything, they might find an irreplacebale and invaluble treasure only the two of them would know. That thought in itself made Horus want to set out even faster than before.
"It might be dangerous, but we'd just have to be very very careful," he nodded with a grin to his partner.
"Hm," he placed a paw on his chin thoughtfully. Supplies, yes, they would at least need a flashlight or some kind of reliable light source. Recalling all those adventure movies he saw they always carried some sort of bag full of supplies. Usually within the bag were emergency item kits, such as bandages and food rations. Then there were flashlights and markers for the path they passed so they could see if they were headed the right way.
"We need some supplies, yeah. Good thinking, Kalli! Maybe we'll just take a quick detour to my house so we can grab a bag of supplies?"

Kalliope smiled at him, her eyes dancing. "Well, what's an adventure with a little danger, right?" Danger was exciting, and something the female wasn't accustomed to. Still, if there really was anything to be wary of in the cave, she was sure Horus would watch out for her, and she'd do the same for him. That was what being partners was about after all, right?
For a moment however, she imagined terrible scenarios, and a small shiver ran through a body. Looking a little worried, she almost missed Horus speaking to her. "A-ah? Oh, yes. Lets go get some supplies, then?" A small smile spread over her maw as she nodded quickly. "If you don't have some of the supplies at your house, we can go to mine after and grab some. It's close by anyways." She offered.
A sudden thought popped into her mind. She had to tell her family that she would be out today, didn't she? 'Maybe after we get the supplies,' She thought to herself, hoping that she'd somehow bump into a family member by chance.

If any dangerous situations were to come their way, Horus would be sure to protect his partner. He wouldn't want to lose her as both a friend and a partner. And usually those heros got pretty attached to their partners, too. Horus had a feeling the same would happen to him. Either way, he would definitely help her out in any way he could.
"We probably only need a flash light. And maybe a hard hat. Though I'm not sure if they make hard hats for Kitsus? If not a helmet or something might work just fine." He would have to make do with what they had. If there weren't holes for their ears they'd just have to make those holes appear, right? As long as it didn't take too long anyway.
"Ok. The house is just a little ways this way," he pointed with a paw. "Just stick close, yah?" With that he fanned his wings, making a run before taking flight.

Listening the Horus intently, she nodded as he spoke, mentally noting down what he was saying. "I don't know if there are any hardhats," She admitted, "But my family has a couple of helmets we could use. There are little holes that our ears can poke through." She hesitated, "If you want to get those, I should drop by and tell my family that I'll be out too. In case they worry."
And indeed, worry they would. While Kalliope was already an adult - and quite a responsible one at that - her family still couldn't help but see her as the quiet little kit that she was. And of course, just because she was an adult didn't mean anything. If one were to look at her 'sister' (though they weren't related really) Kitsumi, they would see that even adults could be...well. Immature.
"Mmkay." She chirped, spreading out her dark-colored wings. She dashed after him, soaring into the air shortly after Horus did.

"We'll make a stop at your house after I grab the flashlights, then. You can grab the helmets and tell your family. Wouldn't want them to worry," he flashed her a smile. He knew from personal experience wandering off without telling his family had quite the consequences. Usually involved some lectures about wandering off all alone, family being all scared, etc, etc. Gosh were those lectures annoying.
Landing quickly yet softly, Horus rushed into the house. "You can just wait out here, the lights should already be on the table. I won't be long."
Dashing into the house, he grabbed the brown bag on the table, checking to make sure the lights were functional and indeed within the bag. Stringing it over his left shoulder, he dashed out of the house just as quickly.
"To your house, then?" He asked with a grin.
