I've got 2 tabs left so I'm looking for good ideas. Since I really only bother with combat skills, this is how I have mine set up currently:
Melee gear
Range gear
Mage gear
Pots/herbs
Charms/pouches
Non-combat equippable gear
Everything else in the main tab

This pic took awhile to make...
- Misc.: All of my currency. (Gold, Tokkul, Fist of Guthix tokens) Also quest items, treasure trail emote items, and my Defender set.
- Equipment: Basically anything I normally need for combat, as well as my weapons and Dragon items.
- Slayer: Anything Slayer related. I also keep my food here.
- Ranged: This is all of my Arrows/Bolts, bolt tips, arrow heads, and bows. This is my third biggest tab.
- Magic: All of my Runes, Staves, Magic robes, Runecrafting Tiaras...
- Summoning: Charms, Pouches, Pets, Pet food and Secondaries.
- Herblore/Farming: My biggest Tab. All of my Herbs, Potions, Seeds, and secondary herblore ingrediants.
- Tab of D00M: This is my second biggest Tab. It includes all of my Crafting, Smithing, Mining, Woodcutting, and Construction related items.
- Outfits/Collections: Has my Skillcapes, Rune collection, Void Robes, White Cwars armor....all things of that nature.

I just posted my bank on the bankshots thread - but here's how I have mine laid out - for the shortcut ways.
Tab 1: Quest items Diary Rewards, New items
Tab 2: Runes, Runecrafting, Magic stuff, and teleportation items
Tab 3: Herblore, Farming.
Tab 4: Mining, Prayer, Construction
Tab 5: Crafting
Tab 6: Summoning, Hunting
Tab 7: Woodcutting, Fletching, Firemaking, Fishing
Tab 8: Cooking & Supplies
Tab 9: Armour, Shields, and Slayer

Capes, boots, gloves.
Runes, pots, charms, jewllery.
Rings and necklaces.
Cute animals, keys, flowers, feathers, and scrolls.

2. Seeds for farming
3. Herbs, potions, and secondary ingredients
4. Costume items, or other clothes that don't bestow a combat bonus
5. Food
6. Quest items and keys
7. Hunting equipment

Those are not tips, but they should give you an general idea of at least how to get your bank organized the way you want it.
