I'm CJ, I really do go by the name Desert Skorpion in real life, or just Skorpion, I used to live in the desert (hence Desert) now I live east of Portland Oregon. I am happily married to Rogue7060 and we have 5 children and 1 grandchild.
I love watching Anime, especially "old school" like Akira, Space Battleship Yamato, Star Blazers (TV show for Space Battleship Yamato), Macross Robotech Saga, etc, but I do enjoy a wide variety of shows from the last few years. I have a collection in excess of 200 GB burned on DVD and/or stored on a large hard drive. I have been reading Manga for several years and enjoy quite a few series. Anything mecha is #1 with me, but I enjoy an eclectic variety to long to list.
I have been in to RPG since the mid 80's and have played AD&D, Cyberpunk 2020, Star Wars, Star Trek, GURPS, Shadow Run just to name a few. In a Star Trek campaign I used a Baker Class Destroyer to disable the USS Excelsior and kill her Captain. It just goes to prove if you plan things out and show patients you can kill anything. In Cyberpunk 2020 I created a Corporate War for a campaign. We nuked Texas and caused the UN to declare war on the Mars Colonies, it was a lot of fun.
Currently I am building an online RPG campaign for Star Wars @
subforum #66: Vaders Lashes: A Star Wars Hangout, an engineer-of-doom Reality Guild subforum come on by. Don't forget to introduce yourself to engineer-of-doom and let her know I invited you to join her guild too.
I read a very eclectic collection of authors and genre from Sci-Fi to Action/Adventure to Historical and beyond. My most favorite authors are the likes of Clive Cussler, Isaac Asimov, Dean Coonts, Stephen King, Timothy Zahn, Peter David, and Tom Clancy to name a few.
I collect stamps, rocks, and coins, as well as (read attempt) to garden.
I enjoy HO and N scale model trains, building models, drawing (although I suck I put a lot of time in to it anyway), hiking, camping, fishing, playing soccer (although not for many years now).
There's a lot more then that, but you get the idea.
I look forward to getting to know people and having a good time.
