I tried a small Seance with a few of my Pagan friends a few years ago, after my mother died. We successfully contacted her; we asked her to give us a sign, then we heard Patsy Cline begin to play in the silence. That was her favorite singer. Radio was off, no one else was home. And my cousins and I, since she died in the house we lived in, always heard her knees cracking like they used to, and rustling at the table. Sometimes when I got up during thunderstorms and went to the kitchen for water, I'd look out the window and see her in her chair on the porch, just a glimpse. She had a bright blue beanie that covered her bald head, since she had cancer. She used to sit out in thunderstorms and smoke. And when I lost a tooth, there was a dollar under my pillow the next morning. Even when I told no one about it. I'd known for a long time that my mom did that; even when I told her "Mommy, I know the Tooth Fairy isn't real.' she nodded, but continued to do it.

But anways, since the Seance, I've had dreams. They go back to the day she died. She was in her room on her bed. It happens the exact way it did when she died. But then it goes to the cremation, since she was cremated. Her body is put into the burner. I can hear screams from it. It scares me. I've woken up sobbing several times. I've woken up to find my parents shaking me and yelling at me to wake up.

What does this mean? I don't know if my head is just playing tricks on me, or it's a sign that she wasn't actually dead when cremated. I just don't know.

I'm sorry to hear about that.
...
I think that it's just your fears playing tricks on you.
Everyone fear things like that with cremation, don't worry.
Maybe the seance just heightened your fears or something of the sort.
[Don't worry, either. They take special measures to make sure that someone
being buried or cremated is really dead. There wouldn't be a mistake,
rest assured of that.]

I would say, to stop them, you can try a couple of these methods:
- Before you go to sleep every night, say something to the effect of "I will
have happy, good, relaxing, calm dreams. I will wake happy and rested."
- Imagine a happier ending to the dream before you go to sleep/after
you wake up. Simple, but effective.
- Before you go to sleep, try imagining a good dream, one that you want to
have that night and just play it in your head while trying to sleep.
- Tell yourself you will not have the dream again.
- Put your fears to rest. You know that did not happen, so you should
not fear it anymore. Don't let it control you in anyway, even in dreams.

Best of luck.

Caramelldanseeeen.
But anyways.
I tried that last night. It did work. And I tried it again today, during my nap, and it also worked. Thank you so much for the help.
The Seance hadn't scared us; we knew mom wouldn't do anything to hurt us. I dunno. I didn't FEEL scared, at least.

Oh, I'm so glad it worked!

The subconscious can be a tricky thing sometimes, I guess.
Or whatever.
I dunno :3
