Is my school the ONLY school where the drumline always bashes on the front ensemble((no, i don't like to call it the pit)) to EVERYBODY in the band, including the BD?
Our drumline is full of jerks, and they always say how we're not important to the band, we don't do anything, we just STAND there like lazy retards, and that we have no percussion talent at all.
Is anyone elses drumline like this?

Get a small band. Like... my highschool - we had 10 people because our director was a douche and everyone quit. But we were really super close as a band - considering everyone had to multitask on intruments
I played cymbal and bass drum at the same time and when we didn't need percussion, I played flute. razz

For outdoor, my highschool's drumline yelled everyonce in a while about the pit, but that's only because some people in our outdoor program shouldn't be in band. For indoor, though, everything was cool.

Our drumline isn't like that. Strangely, we don't necessarily have the time to join the other band members and our percussion instructor would probably shoot us down... Either that or join 'em. I have, however, met a few bands that absolutely hate the drumline. I just don't understand. confused

Not here! Last year we were all one giant pit so we know how important/awesome the pit really is. Plus, since we didn't have a drum major either, we started everything off so they had to like us haha but damn is it good to have a drumline again!
But I think the rest of the band hates the drumline right now because we haven't completely memorized the opener xp (It's not our fault the BD only just gave us the completed opener like a week ago while the rest of the band has had the whole show since school ended scream )

both sections (battery and pit) would bash about each other at my school. then big arguments would occur and everyone would be mad at each other. I got used to it after a while and really didn't care anymore

Hehe i didnt know what u meant by front ensemble so i voted drumline cuz pit is considered drumine in our school
We only have 3 pit players and me and the pit section leader are elite... Jon is just lazy D:
The drumline dont bag on us cuz we can play their parts and our parts biggrin
(angeline my pit section leader sight read the snare, i sight read the quints)
they learned -.- but still try to make fun D:

Not in our school. Our Pit is amazing. We have these two guys in our pit, And they are Sophomores as of this year. They are twins and they just started playing Xylo and Marimba their freshman year. Has anyone ever heard of the marching show "Pandora's Box"? Look at the pic music, They are amazing.
