Mirza skimmed to the ground, his paws catching the ground with a practiced grace and his wings stretching to full length before folding easily to his sides. With a low sigh he looked around. "This is quite drab compared to the forest..." he said in a low tone as he began walking. His craving for the sky would have to be tamed for now as he started his scoping of the land from ground level. He shook his mane out and again his mind was plagued of the idea that he felt similar to the angels painted on ceilings in huge buildings... they had no life to remember...

Tenari crouched, wriggled a little. The muscles in her back tensed, ready, ready.. Her legs bunched beneath her, head low, tail, curled until the feathers nearly tapped her cheek. One flick of the feathers. Ready. Another flick. Get ready. A whip of her tail. She leapt forward -and gained mass, shimmering into sight from her Spirit-state, bearing down on the ghost of the rabbit she could see hiding in the grass. Sometimes souls lingered, she had found... And were even better practice than real prey... Especially to a lion who was Spirit. After all, it wasn't exactly fair when you could literally 'stop existing', becomming no more than air, and sneak up on them. Her paw raced through the running silver rabbit, tagging it once, twice, and still she ran, laughing. "I got you." A white angel chasing, nothing, to the unknowing eye...

Just as Mirza had begun his walking he watched something white playing in the distance. Once again his curiousity of his surroundings struck him and he quicked his pace.
As he drew closer to the white lioness he thought of a white flag getting beaten by the wind. The wind was blowing so hard the flag was bing freyed. He shook the thought from his mind as he slowed his pace again, now watching the lioness paw at... the air? He didn't want to interupt her so he patiently waited but kept intrest in what she was doing... maybe she could show him what she was doing later... that was if she'd ever talk to him.

Gathering herself to leap, Tenari shimmered completely out of sight, leaping high into the air. Mid jump she became solid flesh again, landing on top of the spirit. The pounce counted as a solid kill to her, so she let her prey race off, standing still. Her breath was fast with adrenaline and joy, and she laughed as she pranced around for a moment, high from her hunt. The knowledge that someone was watching her came crashing over her senses, and she cast her gaze over the lands, searching. Her gaze soon settled on a golden angelic male, standing not too far off, watching. She shifted from paw to paw, wondering if she'd trespassed on pride land, then stepped forward. "Hail and well met, stranger..."

"I'm terribly sorry if I have interupted a game..." He said with a small smile as he swooped her a bow. "And what an interesting game that was m'lady! You disappeared from plain sight!" Stretching his wings, they quickly settled to his side and he also took a step forward. "I hope I did not intrude on anything, I came for mere curiousity." His voice was polite and he kept his eyes on hers. Although she looked to be a beautiful lioness he wouldn't let his eyes prowl.

She gave him a considering glance, tilting her head to the side and smiling. "I am surprised -good sir- you could tell it was a game at all, considering how much was 'not here' during the duration... I am Spirit -as my mother before me Is- and we have that ability..." She ducked her head in a bow. "I am Tenari -of Venati and Talcorin, Spirit and Dream- and you good sir?"

"Why Lady Tenari, it is such a pleasure to meet one of great mirth! How could one not tell it was a game? I wish I could have seen what was really going on, it reminds me..."
It was then that a flash back hit him of playing a game on a lawn. He could only see the people from their waists down but the laughter filled his ears. There were balls rolling on the field and he was the one rolling them, it was his laughter filling his ears... it was only his legs... then the memory faded.
"... of nothing important." He said quickly as he nodded his head in a bow again. "My goodness! I have been rather rude... I m'lady, am Mirza. I wish I could give you my parents names... but I can't remember them..." He said with a heavy sigh.

She tilted her head, watching emotions flicker over his face and behind his eyes. Memories had a sort of feeling -to a spirit- and though she didn't know what he saw, she knew they brought him both joy and pain. She was sorry about that, Tenari never really wanted anyone in pain... "I was chasing a ghost... Spirits and Ghosts can see and often touch each other, depending on the circumstances... As a lion, I can race my paw through a ghost... As I will always be spirit, to move through things.. The ghost-lions here, they are solid... By some fluke of nature." She shrugged it off. "Well met Mirza.. Do you come from the mountains like all the other Angelics? If so, I am sure someone there would know of your family..."

"The mountains you say? I havn't been there yet... maybe someone can tell me. I thank you for the advice m'lady." He said with a gracious smile. "I have only been through the forest, and found only one lion there... at least the part I happened to fly into..." He kept his smile, but his eyes decieved the pain he had found there. The memory of someone he loved but now lost.
"Lady Tenari, where do you hail from if you are a spirit and are chasing such ghosts?" He pushed back the pain of his amnesia and focused on her, she deserved his attention and he wanted to give it to her fully.

She winced slightly. Tena knew what roamed in the forest... Demonics, mostly.. And those that weren't, were as close as a normal lion could get. Horrors were found in the woods. "Not the best place to visit." She mumurmured at last. "But the mountains would be your best bet to hunt for other angelics... They are rare on the plains..." She tilted her head, smiling. "I am a child of the plains... I was born to Rose Wings Pride.. Where my sire -former Dream King and Angel- is King, and my mother -the Spirit Angel Venati- spent some time... Birthed on this plain, and yet, not part of it.."

"Rare you say? Then maybe I shall stick around. It is no fun where there are too many suitors at not enough ladies." His smiled never failed as he nodded his head again.
"I might have found the light in the darkness maybe.." He said in mention of the woods. "A butterfly lives there and she is rather plesent to talk to, but you m'lady are a gem among rocks. It is not every regular day I talk to such a lovely and lively spirit if I may be so bold to say it." He kept his eyes glued to hers, he thought it ment so much more to say something like that and keep the eye contact then to say that and let the eyes wander.
"I like the plains... they are just a bit dull... but with company they brighten up." His tone was light and he was on the edge of a chuckle.

Tenari smiled at him with amusement. "You may be so bold to say sir, if I may rejoin with this simple point... 'You have not been here very long...' " She winked and laughed. "After all, who's to say there aren't dozens of lovely girls just waiting to be met? I after all do have a sister..." She eyed the plains. "In spring they are lovely, where things are fresh and green or marked with flowers and new cubs... As far as company, I know there are at least three angelics around.. For friends of mine have met or seen them... One is a male mated to a friend I hold in my heart like a sister, one a sunset-winged male who is new to the lands... And one a female who roams..."

He grinned sheepishly and looked to the plains as she explained. "Aye, Lady Tenari, you'd be correct in pointing out I havn't been here long. But as for your sister, if she is even half as sweet as you then it would be like meeting the Queen of England."
"These others... they are like me? Choose to wander? Well, I choose so now but later I might find a place I like." He thought for a moment about each angelic Tenari spoke of. "Mates... Is that like marriage?" He looked her strongly in the eyes, not wanting to seem like a foolish teenager. He knew nothing of mates and prides in this land.

"Inati is not exactly sweet; at least, not to any but family and mate." She laughed. "She is claimed by one and one alone, and he is a kind soul... Stars bless him." She nodded. "Yes... As I said, those three adults I know of... There must be more, though the High Peeks are their domain..." She blinked. Marriage? "Erm... A male may give love a female, and give her cubs, as my sire did my mother... Or they may fall in love, and join their lives and hearts together forever... As my mother and her mate -Blackjack- have... It is.. A lifelong bond.. A declaration of selves and souls..." She blushed slightly. "I am not sure I have words adequate to describe it..."

Mirza smiled slightly, nodding. "It's alright. I beleive they are quite similar this marriage and mate." Sighing lightly he lowered his head and shook it slowly. "I just wish I could remember." He raised his head just enough to look at her through his eyelashes and the hair in his face, "Lady Tenari... have you ever forgotten something important and wished you could remember the joy it used to bring you?" His tail flicked once and he raised his head as he waited for an answer.
"As for your sister, she is lucky to have a mate that loves her. Anyone that has someone to love them is lucky. At least compared to myself, m'lady." His voice was soft as he looked away from her for a moment, wishing he could remember the woman he left behind. Her name, at least, would be something to comfort him.
