I'm not 100% sure, but I can take this plastic off my guitar right? It covers the pick guard, the area between a humbucker and the neck, and a part on the back of the guitar.

I did. There's still some stuck under the volume knob so every time I adjust it I hear a crackling noise.

But I forgot to mention that your guitar catches on fire as soon as you take the plastic off and you'll never able to tune your guitar correctly again. Small price to pay.

Why don't you just take the knob off and get the plastic out? I unscrewed my pickguard a bit to take out the plastic stuck under that.

How should I take the knob out? I don't want to break it. Do I just twist it or yank it out?

What kind of guitar you have? My Tele, you grab onto it and twist it and pull up at the same time. Something like a strat, you could use something for leverage and GENTLY pop the knob off. I suggest doing a little bit, moving it around, and continuing to do that. You do NOT not want to break your pot (though if you do, they are easily replaced).

That worked out great. Thanks for the advice.
