There was a strange silence in the Shop today, where not even the floorboards or pipes creaked for absolutely no reason...heck, even Teivel didn't seem to make a noise, even though the stag was reading a book, the pages turning as silently as the shop around them.

Well alright, it was silent, until a faint 'Pop' noise came from one of the couches nearest to the window, across from the stag. Teivel lifted his golden eyes over his book, staring stoically at his tale sister, who had taken this oppourtunity to lie on her back on the cushion of the couch, her legs up on the backrest while her head and arms dangled over the edge. Her long braided hair curled in a messy coil on the floor, and her mouth was surrounded by the pink splatters of a popped gum bubble. She was staring at him, trying her hardest to return the stoic look, but failed miserably - rather ending up with an innocent 'I didn't do it' expression.

With an annoyed sigh, Teivel went back to his book, and Vidya returned the splattered gum to her mouth, going to try and make a bigger bubble this time.

Miako entered the Stationary shop by herself, dropped off by Shiroi to 'make some new friends at the shop' while Shiroi herself relaxed across the street, at a cafe, resting her feet after a long day of shopping for items to decorate Miako's new room.

The Tale peeked her head into the store cautiously, hoping that she wouldn't be disturbing anyone who was inside. At first, she saw only a stag-like creature reading on a couch, her pale face burst into a shy smile as she saw Vidya lying on a couch, carelessly blowing bubblegum bubbles.

As she pushed the door open wider so that she could enter, she inadvertently set the bells attached to the door jingling, the sound made louder by the absolute silence that had permeated the store.

Grumbling curses, Jiro found himself heading towards the store. Yet again. Thankfully, he was on his own for once, since he was certainly big enough to do things on his own. Least so he thought. In one hand, he held a package of onigiri that Sah had lovingly made for him and in the other was a half eaten one he was currently working on. One always had to eat enough food to stay healthy, ya know. Especially since Sah was on some sort of kick and was cooking way too much. Akiya was worried that they would run out of space to put it and would have to give the food to the Tale's pets. The thought, of course, was an amusing one.

Still gnawing away and finally finishing it off, he realized that he would have to use his slightly dirty hand to open the door, which made him cringe. Gross. Now he had to wash his hands again before he could continue eating. But as he turned the final corner to the store, he saw that the door had already been pushed open. Oh... people were there? Hmmm, might as well see who was around then. Maybe someone he knew was there.

Naturally, the silence had allowed Vidya to pick up the door opening before the bell even jingled. She craned her neck back further (if it were at all possible, at this point) and attempted to see who it was. Unfortunately from her line of vision, she could only make out a horn and light brown hair. Light brown hair and a horn...hm...seemed...familiar...

"Mii!" She cried out suddenly, strangely in tune with the bells Miako hit with the door, both causing her Tahnee babysitter to jump a bit, startled. He quickly recovered though, and went right back to reading, as if nothing had happened. Vidya pushed herself down a bit more, so her hands could rest against the ground. Once that was accomplished, she kicked her legs off of the backrest of the chair and into a momentary handstand...which ended up in an unfortunate and ungraceful pile of blue skin, gray chiton and white hair.

Giggling sheepishly, she stood up, dusted herself off, and bounded over to hug her friend. Really, it was as if Miako NEVER pulled out one of her feathers! Which was nice, of course. "Wow, Mii! S'been so long!" She purred out. Vidya had been about to let go when she saw Jiro's form from outside the door. Her face lit up again, and she waved Jiro inside...even though her arms were still drapped over Miako. "YAY Jiro too! Come in! Come in!"

Miako's face lit up with a smile and a giggle as she watched the smurf-like Tale tumble over the couch. Returning Vidya's bone-crushing hug, she chimed "Yes, s'been a long time! S'nice to see you!"

Then, as Vidya called out to Jiro, Miako attempted to twist around to see who the Tale was talking about. Her small eyebrows furrowed as she saw the approaching Tale. He looked so... angry, for a lack of a better word in her vocabulary. Still, if this was a friend of Vidya's she would try and be nice.

"Hi Jii-ro!" she proclaimed, stumbling slightly over the unfamiliar name. "S'nice to meet you."

Seeing Viddy, his expression relaxed. He wasn't always angry, persay.. just really guarded. Looking over the girl Viddy was currently glomped all over, he figured she was a friend of hers. Viddy made friends with everyone. Bowing once he was close enough, he popped a sushi into his mouth. Chewing it quickly, he spoke. "Hi.. it's nice to meet you too..." He looked Miako over. She was rather interesting, but he was sure he would learn her name sooner or later.

"Viddy. It's always good to see you." He actually smiled at her cause he was more familiar with her. "What brings you two to the store?" Peeking inside, he saw that guy who was usually with Viddy, but Miako was alone like he was. "No parents today?"

"Nice ta see Mii too!" Vidya was beaming. Now there was NO way she'd get tired and fall asleep! She had two of her friends with her! They could play games, but not hide and seek! Yay. She let go of Miako and did a small side hop, so she was infront of, but somewhat between the both tales, so she could see them easier.

"Good to see you too, Jiro! Hai, no Momma today! She's goin' to tha dockters." She nodded, confirming this...as if they even needed to know where her mother was. Vidya pointed back at Teivel, who was promptly ignoring them for the most part, reading. "Thas' Teivel...S'my older bruther." She informed Miako, since she was relatively sure that Jiro already knew who Teivel was.

"Oh! How rude'a Viddy!" She clapped her hands together infront of her, and after a few seconds, she held her hand out towards Jiro, looking at Miako. "Thas' Jiro, n' he's got sidewings like Viddy! S'my friend, Yep." She smiled again, then reversed her earlier hand gestures; holding a hand out towards Miako, and looking at Jiro. "Thas' Miako, n' she's gotta pretty horn - " She promptly left out the fact that her horn was ticklish, even if Miako let Jiro know her wings were ticklish. " - N' she's my friend too!"

With the introductions over, she clasped her hands together again, giving her two friends an eyeless smile, going to let them talk or whatnot now.

"Shiroi's across th' street because she's tired," Miako explained casually. Realized Jiro had no idea who Shiroi was, she quickly added "She's my author."

At the mention of Jiro's wings, Miako perked up. Jiro had pretty wings on the side of his head too! She restrained an urge to touch one of them. This would not end up like with Vidya.

An awkward silence filled the air for a second before Miako blurted out the first thing that came to her mind in an attempt to break the ice. "Why do you have chopsticks in your hair?"

"The doctor's? I hope she's feeling all right then..." A look of worry flickered over his eyes for a moment, cause he did respect Enoh in his own way so to hear about her being under the weather was a troubling thing. Looking over at Teival, he noticed how to Tahnee didn't really wish to be there and understood that well enough. He did remember him and he always had that same expression.

As Viddy introduced them, he took his time to study the girl, the demonic wing shifting slightly. It wasn't every day he saw someone who looked like that really and he thought it was rather cool. His fingers actually itched in want to touch her horn but such a thing was seen as immensely rude so he kept his hands to himself. "Pleasure to meet you, Miako..." Author? Oh.. right that's what the parents were really called. "My Shouhin is Akiya... but he's at home right now taking care of business or something."

Her question made a brow shift. "Why? For two reasons. One: They're awesome weapons and easy to conceal. And two: To keep all my hair in place. Tripping over it while I walk is rather embarassing..." Least he was honest about it.

"Momma LOOKED ohkay..." She wrinkled up her nose, having been a bit worried about it to...but if Momma looked okay, and if Momma said she was okay, then really, Vidya had no choice but to believe her author and try not to worry as much. When Miako mentioned her author being tired, the blue tale leaned her head to the side. "Tired? She should take naps! Momma said me should nap every day!" She says it, but she doesn't always do it...usually she just lies in bed and stare at something shiney. Well...that aside from lately, where she's passed out as soon as she's hit the pillow. But there was no way Vidya would mention her carefully hidden exhaustion to her friends.

Vidya had no urge to touch Miako's horn or Jiro's wings, mainly because she'd already done that. Needless to say, she somewhat noticed both of them staring at those specific traits in eachother, but she just passed it off as looking eachother over. Which made sense, because she did it too. She did, however, perk up a bit at the mention of Jiro's chopsticks. She was curious about those, though! The weapons bit went right over her head for the most part, but the second part she could sympathize with. Once Jiro was finished talking, Vidya pulled her long, loose braid over her shoulder. "Thas why you have them chop sticks! Me braid hair so I dun trip either." She stated proudly, poking at her blue-streaked white braid.

Vidya stared for a moment at Miako's horn, then slowly turned her attention back to Jiro. "Are you ticklish?" She posed her question with honest curiousity...Miako's horn and her side wings tickled them...so maybe Jiro was ticklish too?

"Naps? Maybe Mii will tell Shiroi about those," Miako said thoughtfully. Rambling on, she explained to the two other Tales, "She's been tired lots 'cause we've been unpacking all of our stuff 'cause we moved, so she should take a nap."

Miako nodded as Jiro explained about his chopsticks. The idea of chopsticks as weapons intrigued her to say the least, and she made a mental note to ask Shiroi about it later. The hair issue she couldn't identify much with, as her light brown hair was much too short to be a hazard when walking, but she could and did realize how helpful the chopsticks must be to Jiro.

Ticklish? Miako perked up at the sound. An amused grin spread its way across her face as the memories of her last tickle war sprang up inside her mind. She was, of course, blocking out the rather abrupt ending.

Jiro's head tilted a bit more at that as he smirked. "It's the same for my father. He's recently moved as well. He's been grumbling about hating to paint ceilings and carry heavy things and such as that." Watching him slink around the house and plop into bed when he finally could crash was rather amusing, but he wasn't going to say that out loud. He had more respect for his Shouhin than that. However, he hadn't had to do much in this moving business and Yuhin was always telling him to be nicer to Akiya when he came home. Mainly cause he was grumpier than normal as well >>.

Nodding in response to the question about his chopsticks, well their reaction anyway, he shifted a brow at Viddy's comment about a braid. "I do that at home. Makes it nice to not have a heavy bun at the back of my neck..." But he was curious. Taking out his chopsticks and letting the thick braid of hair coil around the floor, he turned Viddy around and fashioned it into a bun. Like he didn't have lots of practice with it so it wasn't hard. Placing in his chopsticks, he looked her over. "Hmmm... it works for you too." Maybe he should buy her a set...

The ticklish qustion, however, made both his ears shift oddly. "Ticklish?" Why were they asking something like that? Unless they had something planned and he wasn't all sure dogpiles with girls was a good thing? >> "I don't think I am... but then again, no one's ever tickled me before. So I don't know."

"If we gotsa take naps, adults should too!" She nodded firmly...then again, her Momma DID take naps...Enoh'd been sleeping a lot recently, and that's probably why she went to the doctors, or so Vidya figured at this point in time. "Unpacking? Like...Moving things outta boxes?" She questioned curiously, wondering if what she and the shifter had done a few days ago was the same thing as what Miako's Author was doing.

She shared the same, amused grin that Miako had. Aside from the whole feather-pulling incident, that had been WAY too much fun! It'd be just wonderful if Jiro were ticklish too, because then they'd ALL participate in that fun game! Her thoughts on him being ticklish were cut short however, as Jiro spun her around and fashioned her own hair into a bun at the back of her head. "Oooh..." Whoa...he was right, this was heavier! But strangely fun. She couldn't see what she looked like, but she took Jiro's word on it looking good on her. A pleased grin, accompanied by a slight, almost sheepish blush (which turned her cheeks a dull purple xD) lit her features then. She liked compliments, but they made her blush at the same time.

After a few moments of leaving the chopsticks in her hair, she eventually reached up and tugged them out, letting her hair fall back down, resting against her as it always had. She handed back his chopsticks carefully, as if they were made of glass. "Here...dun wanna break em...But thank you for putting them in my hair!" She chirped out happily.

Vidya realized that those chopsticks were special to him. Special...sounded...famillar...Oh! Her bracelet! Well...necklace. With a soft squeak, the tale pointed at the small silver chain around her neck, with the single, lonely charm. "Oh yeah! Viddy's collectin' charms! Mieke said that friends get special charms to put on your bracelet...so...Can Viddy have special charms from you two?" So she misquoted the doe a little bit...it still worked for her, right? She looked expectantly at the other two tales, almost too eager to hear their response. Naturally, the tickling was long forgotten by this point.

(( Yeeah. Dee gave me the idea of having Vidya collect one special charm from each of her friends to add onto the bracelet. If its not too much trouble, could you make something, or get something made thats specially from your Tales to add onto her bracelet? =D Liiike...Mieke got her a silver heart. Or if Vidya were to give a charm to someone, she'd make a small bottle with water in it or something. It doesn't have to be elaborate or anything...it'll be a keepsake for her. =D ))

"Yep," Miako affirmed, nodding her head. "Shiroi had t'unpack a lotta boxes. Miako helped, some, too!" She kindly omitted that her helping had mostly been unpacking the few small (and generally light) possessions that she had, as well as "directing" Shiroi around.

"Charms?" Miako questioned. Following Vidya's finger, she saw her necklace, with it's charm hanging down. Oh! That was a good idea! Nodding enthusiastically, she replied to Vidya, "Course Mii will! Something special, Viddy says?" Her mind instantly sprang into action, thinking of possible charms that she could get Vidya.

As the girls got all happy and almost squealy about this charm business, he looked more thoughtful, his bi colored eyes darkening as he thought about it. He did like to make things, since he had made Viddy that little keepsake box at the last visit he had with her. He wondered if she used it at all... "I'll try to make you something, Viddy. It wouldn't be a problem to give you something so you don't forget me..."

"Moving isn't overly fun, if what I saw my Shouhin doing was anything. He looked grumpy and tired a lot." His wings flicked back a bit, the gold and silver chains connected to each one shifting and jingling. As he reset his hair back to rights, he pondered what kind of charm he should get for Viddy. He couldn't be something cheap or simple.. it had to be something that he put a lot of heart into. Hmmm... so far, no ideas.
